The driver had just stopped when a police car pulled up. Three plainclothes officers got out and blocked their vehicle. "Sir, please step out of the car!"
The driver got out. "What’s this about?"
The plainclothes officers ignored him and went straight to the back of the car. "You get out too."
Wan Donglin poked his head out. "Why?"
"Please step out of the car for an inspection."
Wan Donglin was genuinely surprised. When he saw the person striding over from the side, he was so infuriated he almost laughed. Well, I’ll be! So he’s actually stooping to this!
Huang Xiaojue, oh, Huang Xiaojue, you actually got the police to intercept midway.
Reporting to the police, setting up an ambush... all in such a short ti. That’s not sothing an ordinary person could pull off. Could he have reported it as a kidnapping?

The plainclothes officer’s expression changed drastically. He imdiately handed the ID to another officer, whose face also paled upon seeing it.
Seeing things were going awry, Huang Xiaojue yanked open the car door. However, the backseat was completely empty except for Wan Donglin. He roared, "Wan Donglin, where did you hide Xixi?"

The three officers exchanged glances and imdiately backed away.
Huang Xiaojue didn’t see Yan Xixi. Noticing Wan Donglin’s clearly injured right hand, he was struck by fear and dread. Could this monster have silenced her by killing her? He grabbed Wan Donglin fiercely. "Wan Donglin, what have you done to Xixi? Hand her over imdiately!"
