Qi Longbing said with a smile, then looked at Hua Xiaomo by his side and slowly smiled again.
"That’s good. I hope you can handle these things well. Anyway, Qi Longbing, I’ll always have your back, so you won’t feel too much pressure, right?" Hua Xiaomo said with a smile. She had already thought through many things. Since Zi Yunsui still hadn’t woken up, it wouldn’t hurt to establish a friendly relationship with Qi Longbing; this would be beneficial for their companies’ ongoing collaborative projects.
"Thank you for your consideration, my dearest Xiao Mo. I will definitely try my best to fulfill this wish. I won’t disappoint you or Candy, I promise!" Qi Longbing said with a laugh. He then sat next to Hua Xiaomo, and looking at her made him feel as if he were imrsed in an ocean of happiness. He chuckled, a wave of joy radiating from him.
Hua Xiaomo smiled without saying much, then asked, "Where are we going now, CEO Qi?"
"Where do you want to go, my Xiao Mo? Wherever you want to go, we’ll go, okay? No matter where you go, I’ll take you there," Qi Longbing said with a grin. Watching Hua Xiaomo like this, his whole being seed to light up. He truly couldn’t bear the thought of losing her. He felt so close to her, as if their souls had intertwined. He really, really liked her.
"So you’ll take wherever I suggest?"
"Of course. If you say we’re going sowhere, even if it’s to Mars, I’ll accompany you," Qi Longbing said, his face alight with a smile as he looked at Hua Xiaomo. It seed as though in this mont, nothing could impede them from being together; happiness blood all around, making them feel even more in tune with one another.
It wasn’t just about attachnts or romance; it was truly about each other. If they could really form a family, perhaps the harm to Candy could be minimized too!
By now, Hua Xiaomo had thought it through quite clearly. One shouldn’t be so selfish; she had to consider her daughter’s future and her daughter’s well-being. If there were a man by her side to help, it would indeed be much more convenient.
"Well then, I’d like to go see Zi Yunsui. Would you accompany ?" Hua Xiaomo said quickly, a hint of concern in her eyes. She looked at him; he seed sowhat surprised. She knew asking him to accompany her to see Zi Yunsui was a difficult request.
If he didn’t want to go, she wouldn’t force him. After all, such matters should be voluntary. Besides, visiting Zi Yunsui was a sort of duty, and it had been a long ti since she’d last seen him.
Qi Longbing was indeed quite surprised. He hadn’t expected her to suggest visiting that Zi Yunsui. But seeing the glimr deep in her eyes, he knew she truly wanted to see him. If I don’t agree, she’ll surely be disappointed!
So why would I want her to be disappointed? I should support whatever she wants to do, right? That’s what love is. That’s what it ans to truly care for her, be considerate, and cherish her.
"What’s wrong? If you don’t want to, then forget it. I can go by myself. Why don’t you head back to the hotel first, okay? I’ll co find you a little later," Hua Xiaomo said quickly, looking at him.
The look in his eyes made her feel he was very reluctant. If that was the case, then he shouldn’t go. She could go by herself; it wouldn’t be a problem. Besides, how was Zi Yunsui’s condition now? She had to go and check. Although Ye Xiangxue was taking care of him, she couldn’t keep troubling Ye Xiangxue all by herself. She also had a responsibility to look after him, didn’t she?
"Who said I’m unwilling? Of course. I’ll go with you to visit Zi Yunsui. It’s also a good opportunity to check on his condition and see how his recovery is progressing," Qi Longbing said with a smile. He then turned to Hua Xiaomo and noticed a surprised gleam in her eyes. He smiled and reached out to touch her cheek.
"Does my decision really surprise you that much? Please, don’t look so shocked. I genuinely care about you a lot and want to take care of you. So, no matter what decision you make, I will support you," Qi Longbing said, a smile on his face and a warmth spreading through his heart. Seeing her smile back at him, he felt reassured. No matter what, he cared deeply for her.
"Thank you, Qi Longbing," Hua Xiaomo said with a smile. Then, she started the car, and they drove towards Tianhe Hospital.
Inside Tianhe Hospital, they had just reached the door of Zi Yunsui’s ward when, before even entering, they saw everything happening inside through the window.
Inside, Ye Xiangxue was helping Zi Yunsui with his rehabilitation exercises. Hua Xiaomo watched as Ye Xiangxue gently massaged his elbow, then his shoulder, then his other arm, and finally, she gently rubbed his temples. Suddenly, Ye Xiangxue took one of his hands and seed to be softly saying sothing to him.
Although Hua Xiaomo couldn’t hear what Ye Xiangxue was saying to Zi Yunsui, Ye Xiangxue’s expression was so engrossed that Hua Xiaomo found herself moved. It was as if she were watching a wife tenderly confiding in her husband.
Qi Longbing looked at Hua Xiaomo, his hand resting on her shoulder. She turned to look back at him.
Qi Longbing said nothing, but his unspoken expression seed to convey his thoughts: the woman inside, Ye Xiangxue, was actually a better match for Zi Yunsui.
But he didn’t voice these thoughts. Perhaps it was sothing Hua Xiaomo needed to realize on her own, rather than him telling her.
Hua Xiaomo smiled softly and said to Qi Longbing, "Never mind. Let’s just go."
Qi Longbing looked at Hua Xiaomo and returned her smile without a word. He then led her to the square behind the hospital for a walk. They strolled along, an awkward silence hanging between them. Qi Longbing noticed that Hua Xiaomo had grown rather quiet and seed subtly awkward after witnessing Ye Xiangxue taking care of Zi Yunsui. He, too, felt a subtle awkwardness.
"What’s wrong? Why aren’t you speaking?" Qi Longbing, wanting to understand what was on her mind, couldn’t help asking, "Are you unhappy? Or is there so other reason? Please tell ."
"No... I just feel that perhaps Zi Yunsui has found soone who can truly take good care of him," Hua Xiaomo said slowly, her gaze fixed on the square before them. Her eyes held a distant, misty look, and a faint shadow crossed her face.
She just hadn’t expected so many things to happen.
