She definitely didn’t want to be his secretary. Wouldn’t she have to be under this guy’s watch all day long? That would certainly be suffocating!
And what was so great about being a secretary anyway? Listening to honeyed words while assisting others, without any freedom at all. She never liked that kind of fixed job—she enjoyed challenging work environnts and the opportunity to try new things, allowing herself to beco stronger and face more challenges. So, there was no way she would work here, let alone at his side, and certainly not as his secretary. Her instincts told her she was not cut out to be a secretary—she hated having to serve others. Besides, she had her own ideas and wanted her freedom. She was suited for entrepreneurship or doing sothing else. In short, she simply did not want to get entangled with him anymore.
Qi Longbing suddenly laughed, his thoughts deepening as he mulled over her words.
With these thoughts, Qi Longbing’s mind made a leap. He then set down his coffee cup, slipped one hand into his pocket, and walked toward her.
Hua Xiaomo watched him approach. He was just a few steps away—was he still walking toward her?
"Hey, you..." Hua Xiaomo’s eyes showed a hint of surprise as she involuntarily stepped back, but she carelessly ended up backing into the edge of the sofa.
What was happening?
Hua Xiaomo’s eyes went wide with shock.
Suddenly, "President Qi... the docunt you asked for..." Ms. Zhang, with her curly hair, had just entered the office when she saw the scene on the sofa. Her beautiful face flushed with embarrassnt.
"Sorry, so sorry..." The secretary quickly apologized, preparing to leave hastily.
President Qi looked up at the secretary. "Hand the docunts I need to sign," he said, his body still half-bent, seemingly unconcerned by their audience.
"Sure!" Ms. Zhang cautiously responded and proceeded toward them.
Wow, their CEO really takes his job seriously, huh? He doesn’t forget about work even in the heat of the mont. It’s truly touching for us employees, bringing tears to our faces!
Just as Qi Longbing reached out to take the docunts, Hua Xiaomo, in a burst of irritation, quickly moved away from the person on top of her. WHOOSH! The papers scattered all over the floor.
Instantly, all three of them were stunned.
Hua Xiaomo’s face flushed crimson.
Qi Longbing didn’t speak. His handso face darkened slightly. After a long mont, he spoke in a sarcastic tone, "No matter how upset you are that I don’t have ti for you, was this really necessary? Do you know how much these docunts are worth?"
It seed he was suggesting that she was throwing a tantrum because she was unhappy about being interrupted, acting spoiled and misbehaving with their great President Qi. The entire insinuation seed to hint that she, Hua Xiaomo, was sohow deeply infatuated with him, Qi Longbing.
"You..." Hua Xiaomo was beside herself with annoyance.
Ms. Zhang, sensing the explosive atmosphere, was about to bend down to pick up the docunts.
"Leave them. You, get out," Qi Longbing said coldly.
Ms. Zhang didn’t dare linger and quickly left the office.
Ah, it seed their CEO was, like, interested in this girl. And she seed like the girl who ca to repay the money last ti. It was totally unexpected that she ca again, and when she did, the CEO was pretty nice to her! Could it be that the CEO had fallen for her? Gosh, who would have thought the CEO’s taste had changed—he actually liked a college student type now? Plus, college students fresh out of school all have a certain freshness about them, which was probably why the CEO liked her! But really, when had anyone ever seen the CEO be this nice to soone, or when had the CEO ever let a girl get so much attention from him?!
