The man drew closer and then walked directly into the elevator, flashing Ning Wan a brilliant smile, "Thank you."
Ning Wan looked at the man in front of her, feeling he was sowhat familiar, but blinked her eyes without recalling who he was for a mont.
The man stood right next to Ning Wan, just about to press the button for the 36th floor, but found the button already pressed. Since no one else pressed for other floors, he changed course and directly pressed the close door button, then tilted his head towards Ning Wan with a self-proclaid handso smile, "Miss Beauty, are you headed to the 36th floor too?"
Ning Wan held her thermal box and bottle in her arms, nodded slightly and replied with an affirmative sound.
The man seed to have found a topic suddenly and continued speaking to Ning Wan, "Miss Beauty, who are you going to the 36th floor to see? The 36th floor is where Xi Group’s CEO office is located. Did you press the wrong floor?"
Ning Wan furrowed her brows, glanced at him lightly, and responded indifferently, "Does it matter to you who I’m seeing? You’re quite noisy."
She just wanted a peaceful elevator ride, but why did fate decree for a chatterbox to co aboard?
While taking a taxi, she already listened to the driver recount his experiences for over half an hour. Luckily, that cabbie was a person with an interesting personality and told lively stories, so she didn’t find it all bad.
Yet this man in front of her made her inexplicably feel rather annoyed.
The man seed surprised by Ning Wan’s reaction, taken aback for a mont, then spoke with amusent, "Young lady, do you know who I am?"
Ning Wan turned her head again, giving him a shallow glance, this ti silently shifting two steps aside, creating distance between them, and sniffing before speaking indifferently, "Do I need to know who you are?"
The man, "..." All right, let’s pretend I didn’t say anything.
It was his first ti being so disdainfully dismissed by a young girl, especially seeing her wary expression, he felt like a villain at that mont.
It was smooth sailing with no one else entering the elevator, and soon it reached the 36th floor.
As the elevator door opened, Ning Wan was the first to step out, then skillfully made her way towards Xi Mohan’s office, holding tightly to the lunch she’d prepared for him. Just thinking about seeing Xi Mohan soon made her inadvertently blush with a smiling expression, resembling a woman in love.
The man followed behind Ning Wan, sowhat astonished watching her head straight to Xi Mohan’s office. As she was nearing the office, he suddenly stepped forward and blocked her path, "Miss Beauty, wait a minute..."
Ning Wan halted her steps, looking up at the man blocking her way, furrowing her brow, then stepping back to widen the distance, speaking with a hint of wariness, "Excuse , do you have a problem?"
She seed not to know this man, so she was puzzled why he stopped her.
The man stood firmly in front of Ning Wan, completely blocking her path, with his head towering over hers, he looked down and questioned, "Can I ask who you are? This is Xi Mohan’s office, are you here to see him?"
Upon hearing his words, Ning Wan instantly concluded that this man knew Xi Mohan.
With this realization, though her heart reached a conclusion, she retorted with a question, "Do you know Mo Han?"
Mo Han...
Uh...
The man was instantly taken aback, watching Ning Wan for quite a while before finding his voice, "What did you call Xi Mohan? Mo Han? Are you his sister? I didn’t know he had a sister."
"I’m not his sister." Ning Wan quickly refuted.
The man was once again astounded, looking at Ning Wan with disbelief.
Ning Wan was imdiately frustrated, stomped her foot, and grit her teeth as she spoke, "I already said I’m not his sister. I’m going to marry Mo Han in the future. I don’t want to be his sister, hmph."
