"This... should not be possible." Ghost’s face changed as he recalled the skills of those people. What Gu Xin said was not entirely unreasonable. To be honest, Ghost wasn’t clear about what Ji Qian and her group were up to. During their last conversation, he strongly resisted what Ji Qian had said, and so he could only vaguely guess that Ji Qian and her group were an "assassin organization." He knew nothing else, including their true capabilities.
"Last ti, I felt sothing was off. Your friends seed to carry... a murderous aura." Gu Xin frowned, and Ghost couldn’t help but feel nervous. Had Gu Xin already discovered the secret of "Inner Strength"?
"What murderous aura? You’ve probably read too many novels." Ghost laughed awkwardly, trying to change the subject.
"Li, are you hiding sothing from ?" Gu Xin suddenly stood up, slamd the soup bowl on the table, and demanded harshly.
"Xin’er, what are you talking about? I really don’t know those so-called ’friends’, nor do I know what they do. Besides, you saw today’s people yourself; their faces were covered beyond recognition. How could I clearly see them?" Ghost quickly explained. The two of them knew each other well, and Gu Xin was suspecting that Ghost had recognized the attackers’ identities, suspecting that they were Ji Qian and her group, and further suspecting that Ghost was deliberately hiding the matter. After all, telling the police would be equivalent to "betraying friends."
Even though Ghost consistently said "I don’t know them" and "I don’t rember them," Gu Xin was still worried that Ghost might cover for them out of old affections.
But in fact, Gu Xin was overthinking it. Ghost really didn’t know those attackers. Won often overthink, but they’re not always correct. At the ti the attackers appeared, all of Ghost’s attention was on protecting Gu Xin. How could he have carefully observed the attackers’ faces, especially since they were masked?
"That’s good, I just want what’s best for you. I don’t want you to encounter any danger."

Soul Destroyer and several Hidden Guards had arrived here early in the morning, standing outside the airport waiting for Ye Shikai and Chen Yuxin’s arrival.
