[A/N: Whenever Lilith cos out into the physical world, I’ll be using the normal "..." for conversations between her and Simon. It doesn’t an that both of them are speaking out loud. They’re still speaking through their minds. If it’s otherwise, I’ll specify.]
----
Simon had seen the most beautiful mortal won on Earth, demonesses that could lure one’s heart and soul with a single gesture, and goddesses that made one want to instantly kiss their feet.
He had married one of the top three most beautiful woman on Earth, and he honestly believed that when it ca to beauty, he had seen many.
He had seen far too many beautiful won and many beautiful won desired him in his past life... Even so despicable goddesses wanted to sleep with him.
But the mont he saw Lilith, his heart skipped a beat.
Then two.
Then three.
Then it ca back to normal.
Lilith was extraordinarily beautiful, so beautiful to the point that it seed like his gaze was tainting her beauty.
It was like the universe had taken its ti to craft her and shape her, and Simon was lost in her golden slit eyes which seed to radiate a sort of light that was both holy and unholy at the sa ti.
She had a fair skin and long black hair that was darker than night and seed to absorb the light around it. She wore a plain black gown that went beyond her knees and on her legs and feet was a pair of black boots.
Around her neck was a golden scarf, and on her hands were black gloves.
Her dressing was nothing flashy, but it just seed... otherworldly.
Simon believed that when it ca to indifferent eyes, none could match him.
But Lilith’s eyes were indifferent, and her indifferent gaze was not like Simon’s.
Her indifference was a sort of indifference that did not even regard those beneath her, and she had that sort of indifference even as she stared at Simon.
Approximately ten seconds later, Simon closed his eyes for a few seconds, then he opened them and stared at Lilith with an indifferent expression.
Lilith raised a brow in true, genuine surprise.
"Only ten seconds. You truly are a strange one."
Simon narrowed his eyes at her, then he looked at his left, then his right.
When he saw that none seed to react at Lilith’s sudden appearance, he was relieved.
"Nobody can see you?"
Lilith rolled her draconic golden slit eyes. "If they could, would I co out and expose myself?"
Simon nodded. She was right. He just wanted to ask out of precaution.
He took another good look at her, and even though his mind told him that it was enough, he still wanted to look at her.
She was beautiful. That he would admit.
And he loved to appreciate beauty even if he had changed from his past self.
Beautiful humans, beautiful scenery, beautiful things.
He loved to look at them and appreciate them. But for these things or people to control him because of their beauty?
Not possible.
"I thought you’d have wings." Simon said out of genuine curiosity, and Lilith rolled her eyes once again and elegantly sat on the bench beside Simon.
Simon glanced at her, then he shifted his gaze back to the front, so as to not seem weird and draw more attention in front of the others.
"I’m currently weak, so bringing out my wings is a sort of a stretch for ."
Simon nodded slightly. "You’ve been saying you’re currently weak. How strong are you currently?"
Lilith leaned into the backrest of the bench and looked up.
"Strong? I think the right thing you should ask is how weak am I right now."
"Then how weak are you right now?"
"I should be able to fight a Greater Demon or a weak Demon Lord at my current strength."
Simon could not help but look at her with slightly wide eyes.
"You’re that strong?"
She chuckled, then she shook her head.
"No. I’m that weak."
Simon’s eyes flickered with slight amazent and wariness at her words.
He had believed that at best, Lilith would only be at the level of an Archfiend, but not a Demon Lord.
That was beyond his expectations, and it also sent alarm bells in his mind.
Lilith was a ticking ti bomb in his mind.
She turned and stared into his eyes, then her lips curled up slightly. It was just a light smile, but it seed to have made the world much more beautiful.
"Are you afraid of now?"
Simon stared back into her eyes and did not look away.
His sky blue feline eyes and her unholy golden draconic eyes stared into one another.
"Afraid? No. Wary? Yes."
"Hmm." Lilith tilted her head slightly in interest as she observed Simon’s gaze and expression.
"You are not afraid of . You’re just wary. How interesting."
She looked away and released a soft sigh.
"I don’t believe you’re a sixteen year old demon. Those are not the eyes of a sixteen year old. You’re probably an old demon who sent his soul into this child’s body for so reason."
"Maybe because you were about to die, or maybe because you knew that this child’s destiny is extraordinary."
"Or maybe you’re actually an old Daemon from my ti or a surviving Daemon. There are so many things I can think about when it cos to your true identity."
"But one thing I’m certain of is that you’re not a sixteen year old, so do not think that any act of yours where you try to behave like a sixteen years old would work on ."
Simon remained silent and just stared at her without saying anything. His eyes were just indifferent as he looked and listened to her.
Lilith looked at him, and her indifferent eyes also stared right back at Simon’s indifferent eyes.
One had eyes that was indifferent toward life.
The other had eyes that was indifferent toward anything that was beneath her.
"You don’t trust , and I don’t trust you. That’s the truth of the matter, but I believe that we can both benefit from each other’s existence."
"I have no reason to kill you, and there’s so much I can offer you in terms of benefits."
"I need you, and I can promise you that you’ll also need in the future."
"So, for the sake of mutual benefits... Let’s agree to work together. Agreed?"
Simon narrowed his eyes slightly, then he nodded after thinking about it for a few seconds.
"Agreed."
