The corners of Vera Xavier’s eyes were red. Nathaniel Nathan told her to stay put. The mont he prepared to strike, the leader of the thugs recognized him and lost all his bravado. He turned tail and ran, but Nathaniel kicked up a stone and flung it into the back of the man’s knee. The leader scread and collapsed.
Nathaniel Nathan snatched a steel pipe from the ground. He first went for the thug who had injured Vera Xavier, shattering the bones in the man’s hand. Then, for good asure, he stomped on his leg and broke it. Not a single thug could withstand one of his attacks; they were all beaten to the ground almost instantly.
In just a few monts, all the thugs were lying on the ground with broken arms and legs.
Agonized screams echoed from the alley. Many nearby residents heard them, but given the alley’s high cri rate, not a single person dared to co and investigate.
’This was the first ti she had ever seen Nathaniel Nathan fight. She already knew that as the top expert from the training camp, he must have terrifying combat prowess. But now, it was clear his skills were far greater than she had ever imagined. The thugs she’d fought for ages and failed to disable, he had crippled them all the mont he struck.’

Nathaniel Nathan said coldly, "You should feel honored to have t . Since you dared to touch my woman, I have at least a thousand ways to make you wish you were dead."
The leader of the thugs wailed, tears streaming down his face, "Young Master Nathan, we’re so sorry! We honestly didn’t know she was a woman! If we had known, we wouldn’t have dared to take this job even for a million!"
One of the thugs asked, "Young Master Nathan? Which Young Master Nathan?"
"Shut up! In all of Crestfall, there’s only one person called Young Master Nathan!" another thug snapped.
At these words, a few of the more timid thugs imdiately wet themselves in fear. A foul stench instantly filled the narrow alley.
There was never a shortage of legends about Nathaniel Nathan in Crestfall. At school, he was the star pupil everyone looked up to, a model student and the pride of the institution.
In the underworld, however, he was a demon who struck fear into people’s hearts. He had only taken action once, but it had made the entire Crestfall underworld tremble in their boots. The incident had happened many years ago, but the re ntion of his na was enough to recall that event and strike terror into the hearts of anyone in the criminal world.

But in their eyes, the kind of woman who could actually catch Nathaniel Nathan’s attention hadn’t even been born yet. There was no way Vera Xavier would be the one. And now they knew just how ridiculously wrong they had been!’
"Young Master Nathan, have rcy!" The alley imdiately filled with pleas for rcy. Every single one of them was regretting their actions to the very core.
Nathaniel Nathan said expressionlessly, "I’ll give you three minutes to explain everything, from beginning to end."
He didn’t even need three minutes. The leader spilled the whole story in under one. "It was Wesley Kane! He said that Ve... your lady, offended him, that she’d embarrassed him before. He gave us a thousand yuan and told us to... do *that* to her... and then break her arms and legs so she couldn’t take the college entrance exams. He wanted to completely ruin her!"
’Actually, Wesley Kane’s original words had been far more disgusting, but he didn’t dare repeat them, terrified that Nathaniel Nathan would bash his head in on the spot.’
