Jujutsu High. The Third Floor.
Zenin Hisashi approached the group. He placed the black suitcase on the windowsill and entered the passcode.
Inside lay stacks of cash and a thick, sealed docunt.
Hisashi handed the docunt to Gojo Satoru.
"This is the complete manual of the Ten Shadows Technique, passed down through generations of the Zenin Clan. Please accept it."
Gojo took it casually, flipping through the pages.
"Heh."
"Top-secret clan information... handed over to a rival just like that?"
Gojo looked at the one-ard sorcerer with a mocking gaze.
"You've beco a Grade 1 Sorcerer. Yet that guy treats you like disposable trash. He cut off your arm."
"Do you really have no complaints?"
Gojo was trying to stir the pot. He wanted to see if Mirai's control was absolute.
Hisashi didn't flinch. "The Clan Head treats his subordinates very well. I have no complaints."
Gojo was speechless. Brainwashed? Or terrified?
"Miss i i," Hisashi turned to the rcenary. "This is the reward for the last mission. The extra is a bonus."
"Also, the Clan Head requests your discretion."
"Certainly."
i i took the suitcase. She smiled charmingly as she counted the bills.
"As expected of the Zenin Clan Head. Generous."
"Miss i i," Gojo asked. "Are you taking their side?"
"Side?"
i i snapped the suitcase shut.
"Don't make a mistake, Gojo-sensei."
"Where the money is... that's where I am."
She flipped her silver ponytail and walked away, heels clicking on the floor.

Three Days Later. Night.
The Zenin Estate.
The moonlight was gentle, but the estate was silent.
Mirai sat alone in the pavilion at the entrance of the Warehouse.
Behind him stood the coffin containing Suguru Geto.
He had been waiting for three days. His Mangekyō Sharingan had been active the entire ti.
Tap. Tap.
Footsteps echoed from the shadows.
Mirai looked up.
A woman walked into the light. She was tall and slender, with short black hair and a fair face. She wore a simple black dress.
But across her forehead ran a line of stitches.
Kenjaku (possessing the body of Kaori Itadori).
"I have long admired the Zenin Clan Head," the woman said, her voice smooth and polite. She sat down opposite him.
Mirai touched the teapot. Cursed Energy ward the cold tea instantly.
"Likewise," Mirai said, pouring a cup. "The na Kamo Noritoshi is widely known."
The woman's smile faltered for a microsecond.
Kamo Noritoshi. The most evil sorcerer in history. The stain on the Kamo family. One of Kenjaku's previous vessels.
"No wonder I felt Zenin spies watching ," Kenjaku said, sipping the tea. "I'm curious. Where did a modern child hear that na?"
"And how did you figure out my identity?"
Mirai smiled. He didn't answer imdiately.
Kenjaku observed him.
He knows too much. He knows about Kamo Noritoshi. He knows about Suguru Geto's body. He knows about the Prison Realm.
He has techniques that defy modern Jujutsu (Space Manipulation, Wood Release).
He rules his clan with the ruthlessness of a tyrant.
A re 20-year-old boy couldn't do this.
Kenjaku's eyes narrowed.
"I see..."
"You aren't Zenin Mirai, are you?"
"From which era did you erge?"
"The iji Period? The Edo Period?"
"Or..." Kenjaku leaned forward. "Are you from the Heian Era? A thousand years ago?"
Mirai blinked. Then he laughed.
Oh? He thinks I'm a reincarnated sorcerer?
Like Sukuna?
This was perfect. It explained everything without Mirai having to explain anything.
"You're quite clever," Mirai said, leaning back.
"A thousand years..." Mirai murmured, playing along. "It feels like yesterday."
Kenjaku nodded, satisfied with his deduction.
"I knew it. Only an Incarnated Sorcerer could possess such knowledge."
"So..." Kenjaku looked at the coffin behind Mirai.
"What is your purpose in luring out, Ancient One?"
"We are both monsters from the Golden Age. Surely we can co to an arrangent."
Mirai grinned. His crimson eyes spun.
"An arrangent?"
"Sure. But first... you have to pay the entrance fee."
