{Third Person}

Amara stirred beneath her covers the next morning, her brows knitting slightly as a faint chill that was enough to pull her out of sleep brushed against her skin.

She opened her eyes slowly and simply lay there, staring at the ceiling as she tried to make sense of the feeling.

Then she shifted slightly, pushing herself up.

The air felt different today. It was dry and cooler.

Amara slipped out of bed and walked toward the window, her bare feet brushing softly against the floor. She reached for the curtain and pulled it aside. A pale light greeted her.

The sky looked thinner sohow, less warm than it had been the past few days.

She stood there for a mont, taking it in. "Winter is coming," she murmured to herself.

Though it wasn’t here yet, the signs were unmistakable.

After a few seconds, she let the curtain fall back into place and turned away.

The morning passed steadily.

Amara freshened up, the warm water waking her fully this ti. Afterwards, she turned her attention to Ginger, who was far less enthusiastic about being bathed.

"Stay still," she said, trying and failing not to laugh as Ginger squird in protest.

By the ti she was done, Ginger looked deeply offended.

Amara smiled as she dried her gently. "You will thank later."

Ginger responded with a soft, unimpressed sound.

Once everything was done, Amara dressed in the outfit she had carefully chosen the night before. She paused briefly in front of the mirror, adjusting the fabric slightly and combing her hair before nodding to herself.

Next, she picked up her purse, then lifted Ginger into her arms. "Let’s go," she said softly.

As she stepped into the dining room, her breakfast already laid out, her thoughts drifted briefly to Elowen.

She was certain the Princess would inform Alexander about their outing, so she didn’t dwell on it further.

---

At that sa ti, Elowen’s carriage ca to a stop outside the Alpha Prince’s residence.

The door opened, and she stepped down, her mood visibly bright. There was a lightness in her movents, an energy that made her presence feel almost refreshing.

She barely took a few steps forward before sothing caught her attention.

Barron was stepping out from Alexander’s side of the residence.

Instantly, Elowen’s eyes lit up. "Barron!"

Barron turned at the sound of his na. The mont he saw her, a smile spread easily across his face.

"Princess."

She walked straight toward him, her curiosity already showing. "When did you arrive?" she asked.

"Yesterday," he replied casually.

Elowen’s brows lifted in surprise. "Yesterday? And no one told ?"

Barron only chuckled, then he tilted his head slightly. "What brings the Princess here this early?"

Elowen didn’t hesitate. "I’m here to pick up Alexander’s human bride," she said. "Amara and I are going shopping. After that, we will et up with my friends."

Barron’s brows rose slightly in interest. "I didn’t know you had such a good relationship with her," he said, clearly surprised.

Elowen smiled, clearly pleased. "She is my friend now," she replied. "I will introduce you properly soon."

Barron waved a dismissive hand. "No need. We already t."

Elowen blinked. "You did?"

"Yes." He slowly nodded, quite pleased with himself. "At dinner last night."

That only seed to excite her further, so she asked quickly, leaning in slightly. "So... what do you think of her?"

Barron didn’t answer imdiately. He took a second, as though genuinely considering it, before saying at last, "She is beautiful. Simple-minded... and looks a little stubborn."

After a brief pause, a faint smirk touched his lips, and he added, "But most importantly, Alexander likes her."

Elowen burst into a soft giggle. "You see?" she said, clearly delighted. "At least I’m not the only one with sharp eyes. Unfortunately, my brother will never admit it."

Barron waved a hand lazily. "Leave him," he said. "The future isn’t far. He will admit it eventually."

Elowen smiled at that. Then, as if rembering why she ca, she straightened slightly.

"Oh—before I go," she said, "help inform Alexander that I will be taking his bride out." We will return later in the afternoon."

Barron’s interest sharpened instantly. "Where exactly are you taking her?" he asked. "Which shopping mall? And where are you eting your friends?"

Elowen raised a brow at his sudden curiosity, but answered anyway. She gave him the details without much thought.

Barron nodded, clearly storing the information.

Then, Elowen waved her hand lightly. "See you later."

Then she turned and headed toward Amara’s side of the residence. And Barron stood for a mont longer, a faint, knowing smile forming on his lips.

---

Elowen stepped into Amara’s side of the residence without waiting to be announced, her presence as bright as ever.

She barely made it past the entrance when she spotted Amara already seated at the dining table, finishing up her breakfast.

"Well, look at you," Elowen said with a grin. "You’re already ready."

Amara looked up and smiled imdiately. "Princess," she greeted warmly.

Elowen waved off the formality as she walked closer. "We’re not doing that today." Then, her attention shifted instantly to Ginger, who was perched beside Amara.

"Oh, you’re coming too?" Elowen said, delighted. "Perfect."

Without waiting for permission, she reached down and picked up Ginger. Ginger stiffened in her arms, her tail flicking once in clear protest.

Elowen blinked. "Oh?"

Ginger gave her a look—if a cat could look offended, this was it.

Amara covered her mouth, trying not to laugh. "She’s in a mood this morning," she said.

"I can see that," Elowen replied, adjusting her hold as Ginger squird slightly. Despite the attitude, she didn’t put her down.

"Well, too bad. You are coming with us," Elowen added lightly.

Ginger let out a soft, displeased sound that was enough to make both of them laugh.

By the ti Amara finished eating, Mrs. Woods had stepped into the room, as though she had been waiting for the right mont.

"My lady."

Amara stood, brushing her hands lightly before turning to her.

"I will be heading out with the Princess now, and I will be taking Ginger with ," she said.

Mrs. Woods smiled and bowed her head. "Of course, my lady. Please take care."

Amara picked up her purse, giving one last glance around before turning toward the door.

Elowen was already ahead, still carrying Ginger, who clearly disapproved.
