I start cooking, at first it’s a bit strange but then it gets a little easier, of course taking the lid off the ceiling and cleaning the stove took a little while, which made lose ti.
But there wasn’t much to do, I soon start taking the dishes to the table, I made 7 different dishes, each one better than the other.
"Now Violet, give your opinion" I say as she looks at the dishes.
"What’s the first dish?"
"I tried to make a stuffed olette with a topping" I say not very excited about the result of the first one.
"Is that what they call charcoal these days?" She says with obvious disdain as she looks at the first dish that has the burnt food.
"Eat it" I say and she looks at surprised.
"What?"
"Eat it, that’s an order" No matter how bad it is, she’s going to try the 7, after all I know so of them are bad, but I need to know how bad and how much I’ve improved.
"No, why would I eat charcoal? What do you think I can...hmm, HMMMM" I scoop a spoonful of the first dish and shove it into her mouth, I guess she’s never heard the saying "A closed mouth catches no flies".
Nobody told her to talk too much, if she had her mouth shut I wouldn’t have done that. She looks at angrily but eats while I take the spoon away, I quickly take a bite of the first dish and taste it.
"It’s horrible" I say as I savor the flavor, it’s way overcooked and practically no longer has the taste of the eggs, only the taste of the burnt.
"WOW GENIUS IF YOU HADN’T SAID ANYTHING I WOULDN’T HAVE NOTICED" She says loudly and sarcastically after swallowing the spoonful I forced her to eat.
"Okay, let’s move on to the second one" I put a steak with rice and salad.
"What an incredible improvent, we went from a charcoal briquette to a slightly brown charcoal plate and granulated charcoal with veggies on top"
I admit the second result didn’t turn out as expected either, but I was still adjusting to using the stove.
"...Eat it and shut up" I know she’s right, but she still has to eat it even if it’s bad.
"...Tsk, I can’t even cut this with a knife, don’t you think it would be better to give a pickaxe?" Her arrogance is obvious in every word, I think she may have beco even more arrogant than in her sword form, maybe it’s because now I can see the appearance of this annoying little old loli.
I take a deep breath and cut the at with magic.
"Now eat before I really get a pickaxe and shove it sowhere the sun don’t shine" She trembles slightly, and then picks up the spoon and eats, I’m not very patient.
Failing this way made feel that my feminine talents have fallen even further, it’s not like I have that prejudice about a woman’s place being in the kitchen, but wouldn’t a husband want his wife to make an amazing al?
"...The taste is shit, practically the sa as the other one, are you satisfied? I think if I ate dirt it would be better" she says a little irritated after swallowing.
"Now let’s move on to the third one" I remove the lid of the tray revealing what was supposed to be a cake.
"...Is this serious? I think you should give up cooking, what is this supposedly supposed to be? It looks like soone slipped from the top of the castle and splattered on the ground"
"You’re pretty cruel, where’s the encouragent you should be giving your master?" I say to her as I hear how she can’t go a second without belittling or trying to insult .
"Just eat it already" I hand her a spoon after having eaten the piece of steak with rice which, by the way, was also horrible.
She quickly takes the spoon and scoops up a bit of the cake, I see her bite cautiously as if preparing for the flavor.
"...Eh...bad, very bad, but much better than those charcoal pieces you made before" she says as she puts the spoon on the plate, I take the spoon and try it.
’Too much sugar, too much flour, no consistency, the batter is poorly made...’ These and many other flaws are noted when I eat it, but at least the flavor is better than the previous dishes.
"Here’s the fourth, they’re Brownies" I say as I remove the lid of the tray.
"Oh...the appearance isn’t so bad, let’s see what...Pandora...were you trying to make concrete? BECAUSE THE FUCK I BIT IT AND IT MADE THE SOUND OF CRACKING CONCRETE?"
"...I admit they’re a bit hard" I found the right recipe to make food that can serve as the walls of a base, but maybe the flavor is good.
"So what’s the flavor?"
"Sweet, too sweet for food, are you going to use this to protect a castle or sothing? And the enemy are rodents with diabetes?" How she knows what diabetes is is a complete mystery, but who cares, my fourth dish is also a failure.
"Okay smartass, then try dish number five, it’s spaghetti with sauce, vegetables and grilled fish as a side" I open the fifth tray.
"...This looks more like food..." It’s a bit burnt but edible without any problems, which shows a great improvent compared to the first one, I quickly got the hang of it so I think the last dish is very good.
"...I take back what I said, what the fuck is this? Because under the fish the food looks like it’s screaming as if it’s a curse writhing in pain?" I have no idea what this would look like.
"...I admit making the sauce was more complicated than I thought it would be, but the fault is with the recipe book, it didn’t explain clearly what I shouldn’t put in at all"
Violet takes a bit with her fork and after putting it in her mouth, she chews with clear disgust and disinterest.
"Yes, it’s shit like everything you made, I think your destiny isn’t in the kitchen, I think all you know how to do well is use magic, martial arts...kill...learn quickly...dance...wow you know a lot..." She was going to say sothing to belittle , but she noticed that I’m good at practically everything I do.
And of course, one day I’ll cook perfectly too, the passive Talent Adaptation is too overpowered in this aspect.
"...open the sixth tray already" I pull the lid to reveal a beef stroganoff placed on top of so white rice accompanied by a simple orange juice.
"Now this looks like real food, it’s annoying that you ruined my first experience with food but I think this can minimize the damage" She says as she looks at the very nice and well-made dish.
’I think I’ll step back a bit’ I take a few steps back, I know the 6th attempt didn’t work either because I tasted it before giving it to her.
The appearance is undoubtedly very good, and the aroma is wonderful, but as they say, don’t judge a book by its cover, in the end, those who do this can bitterly regret it.
"PFFFF BLERGH COFF COFF" As soon as she puts a spoonful in her mouth and chews, she spits it out and starts coughing, I see so tears in her eyes as she quickly drinks a glass of juice, I imagined it would be like this, that’s why I kindly left the juice nearby.
She soon drinks the whole glass.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS PANDORA, SHIT YOU BITCH ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ?" She yells as her Loli Elderly features contort with rage, she quickly runs to the kitchen to drink more water.
"I know the problem is that I was out of salt so I used a salt crystal... I just didn’t know that a salt crystal isn’t used in food because it has a mineral concentration that makes it 30,000 tis stronger than regular salt"
I only figured this out after tasting this dish, then I went to look at a book, the cookbook didn’t say anything about the crystal, so I looked at an alchemy book, it turns out this crystal can be used if you use alchemy on the food.
But I used it directly in the food, the taste was so salty that it was impossible to eat, I also spit it out when I put it in my mouth, there’s so much salt in this that any normal person who ate it would die instantly.
The reason I have this here, well I got so ingredients from the shadows connected to my castle to give the food a "special" touch.
’Violet tasted it and was affected...do swords need water after sothing salty? Would she really die? I’ll never know’ I throw the plate in the trash, after all, no one’s going to eat that.
"Violet, co back here, there’s still one more dish" I yell from the table to Violet, who is drinking a lot of water because of the salty taste.
"Violet, eat the pepper I left on the counter, it will help" I say from experience, the burning of the super powerful pepper helped get rid of the salty taste engraved in the brain.
She soon eats the pepper with the water, after a while she’s completely recovered and cos to the table with a not-so-good look, I think she suspects dish number 7.
I open the lid of dish number 7, the food is a simple dish of multicolored rice, along with a perfectly golden-fried chicken while the rice is accompanied by fruit garnishes.
The dish itself is very nice, Violet soon takes a spoon and prepares herself, her face is like soone who has accepted that they are going to die, it’s kind of insulting to because the dish is very good.
She takes a bite while her hand trembles, making her utensil tremble as well.
"OH, Oh...it’s good...incredibly it’s very good..." a smile appears on my face at her reaction, of course it’s good since this dish is the result of my long/quick adaptation, in the future, what I cook will be at a level that the best chefs will kneel down to ask for tutoring.
I soon go to the kitchen and serve a plate for myself, then co back and sit at the table to eat with Violet, the flavor is good, but I need to improve more because I will serve this to those I love, so it must be perfect.
And so Violet and I enjoy dinner with a light conversation.
