"What is that?" Lou Sha looked around, clueless.
"Do you rember a few days ago when we got dressed and stood in line outside?" Tianmiao whispered, "That was for people to watch and place bets, to choose who they think has the most potential to survive until the end."
"Them?!" Lou Sha was taken aback, then recalled the person who interrupted Andophin, and further thought of the aristocrats’ peculiar interests, showing disgust in her eyes. "So, above us are those aristocrats with twisted tastes, and we’re like gladiators in an arena, for them to admire as we slaughter each other."
Tianmiao sneered, "This ga is far more brutal than any arena."
"But don’t be afraid!" Lou Sha once again tightened her grip on Tianmiao’s hand. "It will be the two of us who survive until the end. When I get out, I’ll go after those perverts myself."
"Mm, I believe in you." Tianmiao said softly.
At this mont, a few screams ca from not far away, and Lou Sha pulled Tianmiao, running towards the direction of the screams.
When they pushed open the door, a strong sll of blood hit their nostrils, making one want to retch. This room was brightly lit, like a noble’s washroom, with a small white hot spring pool not far away, filled with a red liquid. Even the dull would realize, it was all blood.
There were two trembling girls huddled in the corner, apparently, they were the ones who scread.
"There are two girls over there." Lou Sha said in a small voice.
"Girls?" Tianmiao followed Lou Sha’s gaze but saw nothing. She imdiately understood, Lou Sha was seeing a vision. These visions were ineffective for her, but she couldn’t help Lou Sha much. In this nearly collapsing world, she must carefully repair everything, letting the plot return to its original track; even a slight deviation would lead to severe consequences. So, she could only follow Lou Sha step by step.
Thinking of this, Tianmiao lightly brushed her eyelids, incorporating everything into herself. Then she saw the two trembling girls.
Tianmiao looked again at the pool, discovering a red mark on the side wall. The blood level in the pool had yet to reach the mark.
Just then, a sound ca from outside.
Thud, thud, thud!
This was the sound made by iron boots walking.
Lou Sha pulled Tianmiao, opened a cabinet nearby, and slipped inside.
The cabinet had two hanging clothes inside. Tianmiao raised her hand and felt them, but the touch was strange, feeling like... skin.
The cabinet seed deliberately designed, with a few holes through which they could see outside.
The two girls who scread earlier had already hidden under a nearby table. From this angle, they could see each other.
The door was pushed open violently, and a tall man dressed like a Knight with a blood-covered girl on his shoulder walked in.
He bent down and tossed the girl into the blood pool.
At this mont, the mark in the pool was just subrged.
Then he turned and left the room.
The two girls hiding under the table ran out, trying to pull open the door, but it wouldn’t budge.
Lou Sha raised her hand to push open the cabinet door, but Tianmiao stopped her.
"Shh, look at the pool," Tianmiao said.
