Kong Hou and Dong Xiao watched Cui Wenyan buzzing around Tianmiao like a little bee, seeming to understand a bit what the master ant by saying this kid is very obedient.
On Monday, Tianmiao originally wanted to have Dong Xiao send Cui Wenyan to school, but Cui Wenyan shook his head repeatedly: "Master, it’s not necessary, I can go by myself. It’s just one stop away, very close."
Just as Cui Wenyan was about to leave, Tianmiao rembered sothing: "Disciple, wait, I forgot to give you sothing."
"What?" Cui Wenyan stopped in his tracks.
"This Spirit Binding Bag is for you, sotis there are too many ghosts. Catch them and throw them inside, then summon the Ghost ssenger to collect them. You can also grab wandering ghosts along the way to give to the Ghost ssenger later." Tianmiao handed a small satchel to Cui Wenyan.
"Okay, thank you, Master." Cui Wenyan took it.
"Oh, you need to sense the spaces inside this Spirit Binding Bag yourself. They’re all small independent compartnts; don’t mix the ghosts together. Otherwise, if so strong ones devour the small ones, it won’t be good." Tianmiao instructed further.
"Got it, rest assured, Master. Now, Master, I’m heading out." Cui Wenyan waved goodbye obediently with his backpack on.
"Off you go, be careful on the road." Tianmiao waved as well, seeing Cui Wenyan out.
Cui Wenyan put the small satchel in the pocket of his innermost garnt, carrying it personally. He had no idea how extraordinary the item Tianmiao had given him was. For typical Ghost Hunters, having one tool to hold ghosts isn’t uncommon; having several ans you’re quite well-off. Cui Wenyan’s bag not only could hold many ghosts but kept them isolated in separate compartnts.
However, being a newbie in the Ghost Hunter profession, plus Tianmiao’s casual tone, kept Cui Wenyan from realizing that he was already at the pinnacle of the ghost-hunting world’s wealth spectrum.
After taking a one-stop bus ride with his backpack, Cui Wenyan reached the school. Upon entering the classroom, everything was as usual: so were engaged in morning reading, others copying howork, and so doing cleaning duties.
Reaching his seat, without waiting for Wu Yihao to speak, Cui Wenyan handed his howork to Wu Yihao: "Please submit it for once you’re done copying."
"Alright. Hey, Cui Wenyan, why didn’t you co to the evening self-study session last night?" Wu Yihao asked while swiftly copying down the assignnts.
"Too tired, didn’t feel like coming. I don’t feel like coming to evening self-study in the future either." Cui Wenyan responded as he opened his Chinese textbook to start morning reading.
"Hehe, I didn’t co either. The group leader told yesterday that you didn’t show up for the evening self-study, which was so unusual." Wu Yihao explained.
"Oh." Cui Wenyan responded nonchalantly and ignored Wu Yihao, starting his morning reading.
Wu Yihao glanced at Cui Wenyan, feeling that there was sothing different about him, though he couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was different.
After the morning classes ended, all the students rushed to the cafeteria. Wu Yihao was the fastest, the mont the teacher announced dismissal, he opened the back door of the classroom and dashed out like the wind.
