An Chuxue has been on edge these past two days. To be honest, for soone like her who grew up in the peace and comfort of peaceti, war was sothing that existed only in history books and TV dramas. Even when so country or another was at war, it had nothing to do with her and she couldn’t truly experience that feeling of being there.
But now, with the enemy at the gates, how could she not be nervous?
So she really just wanted to hug the heavens and give it a kiss!
"In my opinion, even the heavens can’t stand it and want to strike those people dead. Why are they rebelliously raising hell? Why don’t we get so thunder down already!" An Chuxue said angrily.
Han Jing laughed, "Don’t worry, they can’t break the city. As long as we get through today, reinforcents will arrive tomorrow."
Han Jing got up, washed, and had breakfast with An Chuxue and Lan Ling, then kept An Chuxue and chased Lan Ling out.
An Chuxue saw Han Jing acting mysteriously and couldn’t help but ask, "Mirror, do you have sothing to say?"
Han Jing nodded.
"An’an, how’s the blood transfusion research with Yun Feng going?" Han Jing asked.
"Pretty well, we are building a simple device that can store a large amount of blood. We’re using soft tubing of a similar material, and the needles are no problem either. After I described them to him, he sohow ca up with a whole bunch. We’ve tested it, and it can be used. But I really don’t understand, who uses that much blood for a transfusion, 400 milliliters at most! He insisted on making a huge box-like thing, which really scared out of my wits," An Chuxue murmured.
"An’an, I need to tell you sothing, listen carefully," Han Jing had no intention of hiding it from An Chuxue, she could only discuss it with her.
Han Jing carefully explained her guesses and reasoning to An Chuxue. After hearing it, An Chuxue was utterly stunned, and Han Jing had to call her na several tis before she responded.
"An’an, you must help , I don’t want anything to happen to this child. If Su Yu’s blood isn’t enough, use mine," Han Jing said, holding An Chuxue’s shoulders and staring at her.
An Chuxue stared blankly at Han Jing, and after a long ti, she seed to co back to herself, speaking with an empty voice, "Mirror, don’t scare , how could this be possible..."
"There is no other explanation, it’s the only way to make sense of all this. I don’t want to believe it either, but the most important thing now is solving this problem." What’s happened can’t be undone, so Han Jing saw no point in pursuing any issue or bla, the only worthwhile thing to do was to save this child.
She was already six months along, just three months away from birth. If it had been in the beginning, when she was unaware, she might have given up.
Now she was fine, clearly with a chance to live, and nothing would make her give up.
"But, how could this happen... how could this happen... Mirror, could it be... could it be a mistake..." An Chuxue murmured, tears involuntarily falling. She truly felt an aching pain, for Han Jing, for this child. They couldn’t see it, but she had seen the child slowly form from the very first ti, to now where its features were clear...
