Jia nodded and thought much so.
"I went to visit Huayuan but no luck there either. They won’t let in but I will keep trying. I am gonna visit there again today."
"No information from her friends?"
Jia sighed. "Yong was a loner in college. She didn’t hang out with people much. Sa as what Shilin told . Though she did grow closer with Daxia after the amusent park case, she doesn’t know about her whereabouts either."
"So until we find Yong, Survival Grounds is our only hope."
"Did Zexi find anything more?"
"Today is the coding competition at Quantum Gas. She and Li Beiye are participating. If Zexi passes it, then we will get an entry to the inner circle of where Zhang Luqi was working. And..."

He coughed. "There is sothing about Survival Grounds."
"What is it?"
"I played it. On the surface, it looks like any other action-battle royale ga. The kind of ga to complete tasks and win rewards."
She knitted her brows. "That is bothering ."
He nodded. "I know what you are thinking about. It’s not a ga which middle-aged or older people would really be interested in. It’s targeted for youth. But many of the older cult mbers got in because of the ga which is highly unlikely for them to play, including Mrs. Lai."
Jia held her breath for a mont and released it. From sowhere in the corner of her mind, she felt her bitter words attacking her again, but she didn’t focus on it.
"Yet many of them got in through the ga. It’s like that teen and his father. It’s because the brat played, which is why his father got sohow involved."
"But Ehuang’s parents got in through so other group of people who introduced them to She. Did they say who they were and where we can find them?"
"That day in Yang Mingshen’s lab when he interrogated them, the two oldies simply ntioned so people they t ten to twelve years ago. They don’t know who they were or where they live now."
She smiled. "I think they just need a little more encouragent. If we could find that group who led them to She, then we would get closer to this leader. I think I need to have another conversation with the parents."
Huojin said, "I also dug in about that doctor, Xie Jietang, who apparently did those horrible surgeries on Ehuang years ago. There have been no death records of his so he is definitely alive sowhere. But he is completely off radar. The one person, his assistant and helper, who could have helped us is also dead."

Huojin tilted his head, tapping his finger on the desk. "There is sothing I need to tell you-"
"Look who is hereeeeeee!" Mingshen crashed into their office with the brightest zeal he could and grinned at Jia. "Did you miss , Spicy?"
"I just saw your face today at the breakfast table so no, not really," she smiled. "I had hoped there would be so gap when I would et you next ti. Probably a gap of 20 years at least."
He waved his hand in dismissal. "Even 2 seconds without you feels like I am getting smoldered in fire. How could I live 20 years without you?"
Huojin smiled. "Ah the Bureau always lights up when Yang Mingshen is here."
As opposed to his usual cheery self, Mingshen threw a squinted stare at him for so reason Huojin didn’t understand.
"What?"
Mingshen grabbed Jia’s wrist instead of answering him and grinned again. "You are going to Huayuan to find that brat, right? I will co with you too~"
Jia paused. "Your underworld connection would help us get in?"
"No. They would probably throw rotten eggs at my face."
"..."
"Then why do you want to co with ?"
"Because we are partners~"
"Only when there has been a cri and you have a dead body to decode."
"Having a handso and charismatic doctor around you never hurts Spicy," he chirped.
Jia released a sigh and looked at Huojin. "I should be on my way to Huayuan. Wait, you were going to tell sothing."
Huojin was going to tell her about Beiye but he thought to wait till next ti. "Na, it’s okay-"
"We are getting late Spicy!"
"H-Hey, Hey wait!"
Huojin saw him zap away with Jia at lightning speed with a dumbfounded jaw.

Wait, was it my imagination or Yang Mingshen was really displeased at today?
Xiyang entered and said, "Inspector Mo, here are the files you requested."
"Thanks Xiyang. Keep it aside please."
He did so and said, "Dr. Yang finally left? He was acting so suspiciously today."
"Ah? What do you an?"
"He had reached here quite so ti earlier but for so reason, he was standing near the door and listening to your and Inspector Song’s conversation I think. I don’t know why he was doing that but he was showing so w-weird expressions."
"What kind of expressions?"
Xiyang thought about it. "Displeasure perhaps? He seed very dissatisfied and annoyed. I-I think it was more so whenever he heard your voice," he coughed.
Huojin arched his brow.

"Mingshen, wait! Why are you in such a hurry?" Jia asked, now already standing outside the bureau.
Mingshen innocently blinked. "We were getting late."
"We have no appointnt to keep in the first place," she grimaced.
"See that’s why you keep losing her, dear. You are slacking at your job," he shook his head.
"I am not," she glared at him.
Mingshen slightly frowned and tipped his head to the other side. "Spicy, Spicy, do you feel like telling sothing?"
"Huh?" She blinked rapidly. "Tell you what?"
He brightened. "Anything that is troubling you! I am all ears~"
Jia stared at him, puzzled.
