"Good morning, Miss. Song!" the middle-aged bus driver, who knew Jia all too well now, bead at her.
"Morning, Mr. Fu," Jia smiled. "Has your back recovered?"
He waved his hand in dismissal. "A little sprain cannot even put a dent on . Back in the days, I easily used to put twenty good-for-nothing hooligans in the hospital’s ICU~ A ager sprain cannot kill !"
A young college going girl scoffed as she was scrolling her phone’s screen. "There the mighty Fu Zedong goes, exaggerating his imaginary glory days again."
He turned and glared. "Hey! Those are not imaginary days, okay? You will hurt this fragile heart!"
She snorted. Suddenly, the phone fell from her hands as she saw a man climb up behind Jia.
Mingshen’s tall and huge figure entered, who displayed equal enthusiasm for riding the bus with Jia and even more enthusiasm to show his flexibility and reliability.
Mingshen grabbed Jia’s wrist when she was about to scan her bus ticket. "You cannot do that!"
The other passengers traveling were too blinded by the unearthly handso beauty suddenly coming out of nowhere. He just scread of class and wealth and good looks which made them wonder.
Is it a lucky day today?
The sa college student hastily picked up her phone to record a video of today’s miracle.
’A super duper handso man onboard!!! I have been blessed!!!! Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!’
Jia’s brow twitched. "I cannot do what? Scan my ticket?"
Mingshen chirped. "I will do that for you."
"I can scan my own ticket."
"But I will buy the ticket for you today," he nodded.
Fu Zedong blinked. "Who is this young man? Oh, oh! Is he your boyfriend?"
"..."
The young college girl nad Rina, squealed hard while recording the video. "Oh gosh! Miss. Jia, you didn’t tell that you had such a hot boyfriend!"
Mingshen raised his brow and thoroughly appreciated her sense of taste.
"You young girls are so easily swayed by looks these days," Fu Zedong shook his head, making the others laugh.
"Shoo! What do you understand anything about good looks!?"
"Hey!" He gasped in shock. "You want to imply that I am ugly? Back in my days-"
"Shoo, shoo! Don’t disturb the atmosphere here."
"..."
Jia tried to smile. "He is not my boyfriend."
Rina stretched her arms with all her strength and glittering eyes. "Can I have him then?"
She choked hard. "H-He is almost ten years older than you."
"That’s what makes it so hot aaahhh!" She blushed hard. "Plus, we are both adults anyway~"
Jia and Fu Zedong gave her a speechless look.
Girls these days...
Jia was about to put her ticket for scan again when Mingshen stopped her yet again. "Wait, wait! I said I will buy."
"You don’t need to."
He harrumphed and took out his card. "How can I let Spicy pay? I insist on buying your ticket!"
Spicy doesn’t have to trouble herself with these matters anymore~ he proudly thought.
"I have already paid for my ticket."

When?
Mingshen’s blank look made everybody burst into a hearty laughter.
Fu Zedong looked at Rina and pointed at Mingshen. "See?"
Rina squealed. "A clueless hot man is hot too!"
"..."
This hopeless girl has been completely brainwashed!
Rina giggled. "Handso mister. Frequent travelers don’t buy tickets everyday. We instead buy a monthly pass for all our rides~ We pay for it at one go when the pass is issued. We simply have to scan it here~"
"..."
Jia slightly leaned back and whispered. "Should I buy you a ticket?"
But...what about buying your ticket?
She shook her head and went ahead with scanning her pass. She then scanned a new code on the bus’s ticketing machine and paid for it. She handed the slip to Mingshen.
"Your ticket."
"..."
Mingshen stared at the small slip of a paper and cursed himself in his mind.
I should have researched more. Ah, what a bumr...
But things have just started! He cheered up again.
Fu Zedong snorted. He looked at Rina. "This is what happens when you live too much under the rock."
"You are just jealous."
"Hah!" He scoffed. "As if!"
He grumpily shifted the gear and started the bus.
People giggled and chuckled as Mingshen made his way through the middle space. He stopped near where Jia stood and looked all around with his hands in his pockets. There wasn’t even a single empty seat.
Are we...supposed to remain standing for the whole ride?
"Yes."
Jia answered his unasked question even though her eyes were on her phone and not on him.
His brow twitched hard. He promptly decided not to ask what she said yes for. He had been embarrassed enough for the day.
Mingshen was now deliberating how he could redeem himself. He couldn’t buy her the ticket but there must be sothing else he could do.
He saw Jia holding the support pole as she scrolled her phone with her other hand. He studied the crowd and the pushing through of people to make space in the rush hour.
He brightened.
I will cover for Spicy!
n who protect others feel reliable, right? Maybe Spicy would have a change of heart~"
He stood closer to her, enveloping her figure with his tall fra with a bright smile. Jia felt his shadow and looked up.
"What are you doing?"
"You can stand unworried now!"
She blinked. "Huh? What...forget it. By the way you should-"
The bus hit a speed breaker and it suddenly jerked up. Mingshen, who wasn’t holding onto anything, lost his balance and stumbled. His eyes widened.
Jia swiftly and firmly grabbed his arm and pulled him up in one swoop.
Mingshen - "..."
...What just happened?
Everybody gasped.
"Oh gosh, Miss. Song is so strong! She pulled his huge figure up with just one hand!"
"So badass!"
"Police officers just have a different charm to them, right?"
Rina bead. "Miss. Jia, are you the boyfriend in this relationship?"
Her mouth twitched.
Mingshen couldn’t even begin to express his feelings.
Jia looked at Mingshen and said, "Hands holding the pole, not your pockets. Bus rides are very bumpy."
Mingshen inwardly burst into tears.
Yes, I lost my face but...
