After a month~~~
"You look beautiful," Logan whispered with tears in his eyes as soon as the car pulled up and Elara stepped out of it, dressed in the beige gown she had selected for her wedding with her mother and Daniel.
"Are you seriously going to cry?" Elara asked with a soft smile, though her eyes were tearing up too.
"You are going to make ruin my makeup." Elara looked up to blink her tears away, and Logan shook his head before he quickly pulled his handkerchief and handed it to her.
"I won’t. I am sorry. Here, let wipe your tears before they fall." Logan quickly made a pointed cone with his handkerchief to soak her tears from the corner of her eyes.
Elara looked at her father and couldn’t help but chuckle as a mory of him wiping her tears when she was a kid, going to kindergarten for the first ti, flashed through her mind.
He had been crying that day, too.
"I am not going to kindergarten, Dad," Elara whispered, and Logan nodded.
"I know. It’s just... I wish I had a little bit more ti with my daughter. Though you will be living in the sa city, it won’t be the sa. You ca to live a month ago only, and you have to leave already," Logan said.
"Hey, you can’t talk about the sad stuff on this happy day." Candice scolded the man, and Logan chuckled.
"I will see how your father reacts when you marry George," Logan said playfully, and Candice imdiately blushed while Elara chuckled at them.
"Let’s go," Logan said, and Elara hooked her hand with her father’s with a bouquet in her hand as they started walking towards the aisle where Daniel was already standing with his back to her.
Elara’s lips stretched into a soft smile as she looked at the back of the man who beca the turning point in her life, eliminating all the wrong and filling it with happiness.
Many things happened this month.
Beatrice received a life sentence. Charges of Sean’s murder, his father’s murder, embezzling funds from the company, keeping money ledgers, illegal ammunition and weapon making, along with sleeping with multiple n and blackmailing them for her benefit, were all taken into consideration.
There were things she didn’t even do, but no one wanted to believe her. People said she went mad after hearing all the charges and was also taking special dical treatnt for ntal illness from the sa hospital as her mother.
Thas disappeared. Many said his own people killed him, so said the Lloyds made him disappear, but no one knew the truth.
Andrew didn’t die that day. He survived, luckily. The bullet missed any vital organ by 1 cm, and it was a lot. He was recovering.
Since he apologized for the sins he had committed, Elara decided to let go of her revenge, not wanting the families of those working for the company to suffer, and she confessed she was the one pulling the strings.
No one blad her for it. They were even thankful that she decided to forgive them.
Their company was starting to gain montum again. It would still take a few years for them to get back to where they were, but it was sothing.
Sophia ca with Carla to ask for forgiveness, even kneeling before Logan and Gabriella for ever having threatened them. The two ladies, always greedy for money and class, beca new leaves after what they went through.
Heather was yet to wake up and was now under full care inside one of the rooms of their house.
Sophia didn’t want to waste her son’s hard-earned money on expensive hospital bills, so she hired a nurse to care for him at ho. If he woke up, it was pure luck; if he didn’t, it was his karma, she said.
Elara was awarded the best-debuting actress award despite not being the female lead in Fallen Star, and she went on to star in three more movies. Her schedule was packed with ad campaigns and everything else, but what truly mattered was that she announced her marriage to the world.
After what happened on the celebration day and she nearly lost her life twice, she wanted to live her life fully and not like a secret.
She already lived like a secret wife for three years. This ti, she wanted to stay out in the open and flaunt her handso husband to the world.
"Elara," Logan whispered to bring her out of her thoughts, and Elara looked up at the man who was standing at the last stair, extending his hand for her.
"Having second thoughts, Miss Elara?" Daniel asked with amusent.
The reporters kept clicking photos, and Elara smiled.
"Uh-huh, whether I should walk up or I should ask you to pick up. Will you be able to handle my weight? The dress is heavy," Elara chuckled, and the man smirked.
He knew she was joking. Everyone knew she was joking and just having fun. But Daniel would be a fool if he let go of such an opportunity she gave him on a platter herself.
"Let’s check that," Daniel whispered before he took her hand from her father’s hand and pulled her up bridal style.
Elara gasped in surprise.
"Hey, put down," Elara nearly shrieked, and everyone around them laughed.
Carla, who had been invited to the gig that was still pending from her celebration day, imdiately began singing a lovely song with a happy smile.
"Well, you shouldn’t have made that kind of comnt. Now all the procedures will happen this way," Daniel arched his brows, challenging her to defy his love and affection.
"Do you have a problem?" Elara asked the priest.
Father Jonathan shrugged.
"If the husband and wife are ready, who am I to intervene?" the man said before he started the formalities.
"Do you take Mr. Daniel Macros as your rightful husband and promise to stay together till death do you part?" Father Jonathan asked, and Elara chuckled at the last sentence, which she knew was Daniel’s doing.
"I do," she said.
Daniel leaned in.
"Ahem* ahem* wait. Your part is remaining," Father Jonathan reminded him, and Daniel rolled his eyes.
"I know, Father. I am just touching her forehead. Talk about being a mood killer," Daniel grumbled, and everyone laughed at his words.
"Do you take Miss Elara Frost as your rightful wife and promise to stay together till death do you part?" Father Jonathan asked.
"I do," Daniel said before he took a deep breath.
"I have been waiting to say this for my eternity," he placed his forehead on hers, and Elara closed her eyes, feeling close to him like she had never before.
"You may kiss the bride," Father Jonathan said.
Daniel didn’t move imdiately. He waited for her to open her eyes. Once she did, he looked straight into her beautiful eyes before leaning and asking, his lips inches away from hers.
"May I?" he whispered, their breaths almost mingling.
Elara blushed at his question, which made her heart flutter. It almost felt like only the two of them were present there; no one else mattered.
"You may," Elara said before they closed the distance between their lips.
The kiss was short, just a small peck, because Daniel knew if he started, he might not want to stop any ti soon.
Elara smiled in the kiss. It might be small, but it was enough to seal their bond.
"I love you," Daniel whispered, and Elara smirked.
"Uh-huh, I do too," Elara said, and Daniel smiled before shaking his head, knowing she was still mad about that day when she had asked him if she had ever told him she loved him, and he had denied it jokingly.
"Mmm, that’s more than enough," Daniel said before he finally put her down so she could greet the guests like she wanted.
Everyone ca one by one to congratulate them and take photos.
It wasn’t long before the man who had been watching the ceremony from the corner of the venue finally pushed his wheelchair forward, a bouquet of red roses on his lap.
"Hey," Andrew said.
"Hey," Elara smiled.
"Congratulations on your wedding," Andrew said before he grabbed the bouquet of red roses and extended his hand towards her.
Elara looked at the flowers and couldn’t help but chuckle softly, her laugh making Andrew smile.
"I know what you are smiling about," He said.
How could he forget? Elara has always loved flowers, but in his three years of marriage or when they weren’t married, he never gave her any flowers. Even after he found out from George that she loved roses, he never gave her any.
It was epic how the bouquet of first and last flowers he was giving her was for her wedding to another man.
"I hope you stay happy always," Andrew said.
"Thank you," Elara whispered before she nodded at George.
"Are you staying for lunch?" Daniel asked.
"Umm... I don’t think it’s actually appropriate for the ex-husband to stay. It would be frowned upon. I have a eting too," Andrew said, and Daniel nodded.
"Take care, man," Daniel said.
"Yeah, you too," Andrew said before he turned his wheelchair and moved out towards the exit.
He turned around and saw Elara laughing with Daniel one last ti before shaking his head.
"I loved you too, Elara, but I might not be able to make you happy like he would. I wasn’t the right person for you," he whispered to himself.
"You still miss her, don’t you?" Sophia asked when she saw her son looking at Elara.
Andrew looked at his mother before taking a deep breath.
"Let’s go," he said, not replying, and Sophia nodded.
Elara looked at the back of the man one last ti before she smiled at Daniel.
She finally found her happiness after everything, sothing she couldn’t have imagined six months ago.
Maybe sotis you need to step out of what hurts you, despite the comfort zone, despite not knowing what you do. It was a bit easy for her because she was rich, had a rich lover, and a supportive family, but it applies to everyone.
Because God helps those who help themselves first.
The End: The beginning of new life.
