At this mont, on the rooftop of a tall building near the central park, soone was setting off fireworks, and the continuous booming sounds echoed, with spectacular fireworks blooming in the night sky...
"You Yun Country people just love setting off fireworks..."
As soon as the sound of the fireworks started, Li Yan was alerted and imdiately pulled the complaining Rocana, "Move!"
"Bang!"
"Swish!"
Gunfire erupted in the center of the park as well, and the two of them leapt into a nearby thicket, using the lush foliage to hide in the shadows, while the spot where they stood monts ago was vaguely targeted by gunfire. After taking cover, a few petals from the flowers in Li Yan’s hand were also sheared off by bullets!
Watching a rose get decapitated in front of her, Rocana broke out in a cold sweat; if not for Li Yan’s quick reflexes, both of them might have been hit by now. "Do you Yun Country people see fireworks as a sign of danger?"
Li Yan didn’t have ti to respond to her, as he had already fired a shot into a shadowy area of the forest opposite the bright central area!
After the gunshot, soone got hit and fell to the ground!
Just now, Li Yan used a familiar training pattern of killing intent to signal Liu Xi and his two companions possibly in the center rockery; then, hearing the sound of fireworks, he suddenly associated it with the Si Country agents creating an opportunity for themselves. As long as the sound of fireworks continued, no one would notice the sound of gunfire, signaling their all-out attack! Imdiately, he moved quickly, and although he and the agile Rocana avoided deadly gunfire, he only caught a glimpse of the possible direction of the bullets.
So he just fired one shot and then dodged aside. Rocana didn’t need his reminder and also dodged aside while already having a gun in her hand, which she surprisingly pulled out from under her skirt, aiming toward the directions on either side, her eyes swiftly scanning.
"Boom——! Boom——!"
The fireworks continued to explode; even if there were still real couples left, they wouldn’t just embrace for sweet nothings but would gaze up together at the impromptu fireworks show. Identifying the enemy from civilians was easy for both sides, even for a third party.

Pistols with and without silencers started firing chaotically in the park. Since it was nightti, in this lushly green central park, the snipers couldn’t help, so everyone was engaged in close-range combat with handguns.
Li Yan had quickly climbed up a tree, trying to get a comprehensive view. Although he could now only see the central area, he confird his analysis; their targets were indeed in the central rockery, shooting from different directions. Clearly, Liu Xi and his companions were hiding in the rockery, while the main force of the Si Country agents was also around this central area. Perhaps because of the three people, they realized there might be more, thinking of an all-out extermination, which is why there were so many of them.
In fact, these agents should all be assassination elites, but now this was no longer an assassination but more like a siege, sothing rcenaries and battlefield soldiers excel at, also a ti when heavy weapons are advantageous, at least automatic rifles and submachine guns with their rapid-fire capabilities have an edge, but these aren’t suitable for assassinations, the social impact is too great, Yun Country wouldn’t necessarily approve, sniper rifles are unsuitable given the environnt, so all they have are handguns, needing to rely on accuracy and bullets.
After observing for a while, Li Yan understood the broader situation; clearly, the trio’s ammo was running low, not firing back much, while the Si Country agents’ assault was intense. He guessed that the other two assassins, just like him and Rocana, should have taken out so peripheral Si Country agents from other angles and were now lurking in the dark, eyeing the center area agents.
A round of fireworks had ended, temporarily calming down, and the gunshots in the central area imdiately quieted. Everyone was waiting for their opportunity!
After a while, more fireworks booms sounded from that rooftop. The agents around the central park area also figured out that the rockery had few bullets left, deploying so many agents for just a few bodyguards; in this unfamiliar territory, unable to leverage their strengths, besieging without success...all these made them harbor a lot of anger. Using the cover of the fireworks noise, they started shooting again, and so agents began charging forward under cover of their companions’ gunfire!
It was only a few ters’ distance, and once they crossed it, the combat could quickly end.
The central area was bright, and the direction where Li Yan and Rocana appeared also drew attention from the sensitive agents, who began shooting in that direction. So now, those charging toward the central rockery were not from one direction, and covering agents were also firing toward where Li Yan and Rocana had stood.
However, as they reached the edge of the flowerbed, amidst the chaotic crossfire, it was unclear from which direction the bullets ca, but they killed those two agents!
Indeed, there were still assassins behind them! With his suspicions confird, Li Yan relaxed; those assassins wouldn’t specifically save Liu Xi and companions, but they would kill Si Country agents, making the ones who charged forward easy targets, saving him the worry.
He quickly slid down the tree trunk, reached Rocana’s side, and using simple action hand signals, indicated for her to circle back from the left, while he would circle back from the right, to assassinate these ambushed tactical agents who couldn’t leverage their advantages!
Rocana quickly understood and agreed to Li Yan’s arrangent. The two separated to the left and right, moving independently.
Li Yan was unfamiliar with the environnt; perhaps none of the three parties in tonight’s lee knew it well, this being a temporary battlefield. Yet Li Yan moved very fast, sprinting and leaping rapidly through the trees and bushes; the flowers were discarded, replaced by a folding military knife. As all attention was on the rockery ahead, they had no idea soone was moving like a ghost behind them, slitting their throats one by one!
Of course, for those hidden in the trees, shooting was faster.
The area wasn’t large, neither were there too many people, and under Li Yan’s swift action, he dispatched eighteen in just a few minutes!
