Li Yan ignored him and continued to walk forward.
When the two of them brushed past each other, Zhou Yunfei spoke up, "Didn’t you break up with Yu Xiaodi?"

Just as expected! Li Yan pondered for a mont and guessed he might have heard it from Li Chengfeng. Li Chengfeng didn’t know about Li Yan’s situation, and Zhou Yunfei should be the only one who knew Li Yan was dating Yu Xiaodi.
"Since you weren’t fired, just do your job well."
Li Yan challenged again, then didn’t linger.
Seeing Li Yan appear, Yu Xiaodi couldn’t believe her eyes. "Uncle, you really ca? How did you get here so fast?"
"For you." Li Yan handed the rose over.
"Thank you!" Although Xiaodi seed a bit listless, she lit up upon seeing the fresh flower.
"I brought you so porridge, try to eat a little!"
"I’ll eat if you feed !" Xiaodi clung to his arm and sat down.
Li Yan opened the packed pigeon porridge for her, and seeing her expectant look, he really fed her with the spoon.
During this process, they chatted with each other again, Xiaodi asked about the Paradise Group, and Li Yan asked about her parents. As expected, Yu Hong and Chen Mingying were not around, even when she returned ho, no one accompanied her.

Feeling the warmth of his words, Xiaodi’s ears began to burn, but she explained quietly, "That’s not what I ant. I’m just worried I’ll infect you since I’m sick."
"Haha! I’m a big man, not that fragile." Li Yan laughed and continued drinking the porridge.
"Then... can I feed you?" Yu Xiaodi thought of him feeding her just now, and wanted to replicate that.
"Next ti. You’re the patient; I should take care of you."
Xiaodi cupped her cheeks with her hands as she sat next to him, watching him finish the porridge. She felt an extraordinary closeness between them.
Soon, she felt the hall wasn’t private enough and pulled Li Yan upstairs. While on the stairs, she eagerly asked, "Can I play the piano for you?"
"Play the piano?" Li Yan recalled attending Nian Yufei’s piano concert because she had learned piano under her mother’s guidance as a child. "Next ti, you’re not feeling well now, playing the piano takes effort."
"Then next ti..." Xiaodi asked again, "When are you going back?"
"I’ll stay with you all afternoon and leave in the evening." Li Yan didn’t want to ntion going to the hotel to find a salesperson, as it would be hard to explain how he t her there.
Hearing this response, Xiaodi was both surprised and pleased, and imdiately said, "All afternoon! Then... can I draw you?"
"Draw? You know how to draw?" Li Yan was a bit surprised. Yu Xiaodi’s personality didn’t seem like that of a girl who would be into drawing. It seed like a quiet girl’s specialty.
"What? You don’t believe it? Then be my model, and I’ll draw a picture of you!"
Her surprise gave Xiaodi a bit of pride, as she showed a side of herself as a lady.
"Alright, I’d love to see your drawing skills! But won’t this also require a lot of energy? Maybe..."
"No need for a next ti on this. Am I not still lively and kicking? I’m not a sickly Lin Daiyu, no worries!"
As she said this, Xiaodi pulled Li Yan forward, passing through a corridor to a side he hadn’t been to before.
"Here it is!"
She led Li Yan and opened a door, revealing a spacious room almost a hundred square ters in size.
"This is my studio, both for piano and painting, with no separation." She turned on the lights and asked Li Yan to open the two floor-length window drapes.
Li Yan went and pulled open the drapes, discovering that these walls were mostly floor-to-ceiling glass. One side showcased an unbeatable sea view, while the other provided a view of the distant beach, hotels, road, and even a slanted view of the mountains. The endless panorama imdiately filled people with a sense of refreshnt.
"The design here is really good. I think the best sea view rooms in nearby hotels aren’t half as nice as your piano and painting studio."
Xiaodi ca over, sighed with a smile, "From a material perspective, it’s indeed a wonderful environnt. Whether playing the piano or painting, it gives a sense of rging with nature. But... many tis, I’m here practicing alone. This big house feels empty. I used to often imagine what it would be like to fly out through the glass walls..."
She walked to Li Yan’s side and wrapped her arms around his waist, gazing out at the vast, blue sea.
The azure sea was calm, and the afternoon sun surely made the beach warm. But through the glass, you couldn’t feel the cool sea breeze or the warmth of the sun.
