No one noticed the wistful look in Ben Singleton’s eyes; they were all captivated by the majestic grandeur of the tomb before them.
"What do we do? Ben Singleton said earlier it felt dangerously ominous, like entering could be risky. I’m feeling the sa way now..."
"Don’t even talk about entering; even getting close seems really difficult."
"Indeed, this ominous aura is almost tangible. The closer we get, the stronger it becos. It’s unbearable!"
Carson Flores stared at the tomb ahead, his expression grave.
His mind wasn’t focused on the towering ominous aura of the tomb but rather on another question.
How on earth did this world co to be obliterated?
Earlier, they encountered what seed to be the resurrection of the Free Dragon Lord. Tatum Howard was even stronger than the Free Dragon Lord; could it be that he’s not dead?
Or perhaps there are others in this world who have placed themselves in a "death" state, waiting for the right opportunity to awaken or resurrect?
If they really did co back to life, what would they do?
This world is deserted. Would they thus venture into the God Immortal Domain? With Emperor Howard’s personality and strength, how would he be content to live under soone else’s rule? Would he attempt to unify the world once more?
Carson Flores didn’t mind that much since he was rely a passerby in the God Immortal Domain, but pondering these matters left him feeling quite unsettled.
Mack Conley, noticing Carson Flores’s silence, took the initiative to ask, "Daoist Flores, what do you think?"
Carson Flores snapped back to attention, smiling wryly and spreading his hands, "Even from this distance, the ominous aura is so biting. If we get closer, I’m afraid the aura alone could crush us. Although the potential treasures inside are indeed tempting, I’m afraid our lives can’t bear the cost..."
Mack Conley’s expression was grave as he nodded in agreent, exclaiming, "Yes, this biting aura might be a defense against intruders. I wonder if the Great Land Sovereign can withstand it, or perhaps there’s a trick or chanism to entering?"
The Great Land Sovereign?
Even the Great Land Sovereign might not withstand this biting aura, but the Ethereal Pagoda should be able to!
Carson Flores looked around, "For now, there’s no one here. Let’s spread out and see if we can find any possible paths to enter..."
Everyone agreed without objections and dispersed, circling around the tomb from afar.
Just as Carson Flores was about to leave, the always-silent Ben Singleton suddenly followed him, "Brother Lin, how about I go with you?"
Carson Flores shrugged helplessly, nodding, "Alright."
After being called ’Brother,’ it’d be rude to refuse.
I’ll think of a plan later; after all, I just want to unleash the Ethereal Pagoda, which only takes a mont.
The two of them bypassed towards the outer side. As Carson Flores concentrated on his observation, Ben Singleton suddenly spoke, "I seem to rember sothing else. The last ti I discovered this tomb, though I didn’t dare to venture in, I found a path where the ominous aura is considerably weaker..."
Carson Flores turned around in surprise, "Where?"
Ben Singleton pointed ahead, "Not far ahead. I’ll take you there."
Carson Flores showed slight surprise but didn’t dwell on it, smiling, "Sure, let’s check it out."
The two of them advanced for several miles when Ben Singleton abruptly stopped, pointing towards the tomb, "Here, does it feel like the ominous aura is much weaker?"
Carson Flores widened his eyes in surprise. Indeed, as Ben Singleton had described, the spot where they stood was significantly less intense than the surrounding aura.
Extending his Divine Sense, Carson Flores soon detected a narrow pathway running from the tomb to their current position, where the ominous aura was much weaker than the surroundings.
If the biting aura could be compared to the streams of water spouting from a showerhead, Carson Flores now felt as if one nozzle was clogged, resulting in a narrow vacuum strip where no water stread out.
Curious, Carson Flores asked, "This spot has no difference from its surroundings, and the path is quite narrow. How did you find it?"
Ben Singleton blinked, "Maybe it was just luck. I happened to pass by and sensed it?"
Carson Flores pressed on, "Didn’t you check inside?"
Ben Singleton shook his head, "With such strong ominous aura, I can’t believe there’s no other defenses or deadly traps inside. I’m afraid if we enter, we might not co back out... Brother Lin, are you thinking of going in to take a look?"
Carson Flores glanced around, when suddenly, a soccer-sized rock lifted off the ground and flew like a teor along the weaker aura pathway.
The rock was enveloped in a thick cocoon of spiritual energy, quickly streaking thousands of ters close to the tomb.
"Crack!"
Suddenly, it was as if sothing invisible hit the rock, producing a crisp sound that caused it to shatter.
Carson Flores’s eyes narrowed slightly; he distinctly sensed sothing akin to a sharp blade slicing through the rock, tearing apart the spiritual energy cocoon at once.
Such a fierce attack!
If a living person had ventured in, their body would have likely been shredded like that rock in an instant.
Carson Flores turned to Ben Singleton, "There are indeed traps inside. If we enter, we’d be shattered to pieces."
Ben Singleton blinked, "A person can’t withstand it; what about a magical treasure? If the magical treasure can withstand the attack, could it enter the tomb?"
