Capítulo 2127: Chapter 2127: When Enemies et, Their Eyes Blaze with Hatred!
Magical treasure?
Carson Flores tilted his head: “At the mont, it seems so, but who knows what it’s like inside.”
Ben Singleton smiled slightly: “Let try.”
Ben took out a Golden Hoop from his Space Ring, tossed it casually, and it imdiately emitted a golden light, like a golden armor.
The Golden Hoop flew along the corridor, initially unimpeded, but as it reached the area where the stones had shattered, the light dimd significantly, yet it did not shatter like the stones.
The Golden Hoop continued to approach, circling the tomb before returning along the pathway.
Carson observed closely, noticing that the Golden Hoop was not attacked upon its return.
“It seems to be so kind of offensive Formation, not a Defense Barrier; otherwise, it would have been blocked outside rather than shattered.”
Carson curiously asked: “If the tomb’s owner ant to block people, why not use a Defense Barrier? If he could construct such a grand tomb and Formation, he surely could set up a Defense Barrier…”
Ben remained silent for a few seconds and then softly said: “Perhaps this corridor was intentionally left by the tomb’s owner, ant as a test, not a blockade.”
Carson’s eyes widened: “A test?”
Ben nodded: “Many powerful beings, knowing they’re destined to die without a disciple to inherit their formidable skills, would naturally seek an heir of fate. This is the main reason for countless opportunities.”
“The person in the tomb, no matter how powerful in life, couldn’t withstand the tribulations of this world. Having died, they wouldn’t rest easy. Constructing such a magnificent tomb, leaving a path and setting up so tests for the destined one; it makes sense, doesn’t it?”
Upon reflection, Carson found Ben’s reasoning impeccable.
Carson looked toward the distant tomb: “Even if we approach, then what?”
Ben shook his head: “The cart will find a way around the mountain. If my assumption is correct, beyond these fierce defenses, there must be other hints or tests near the tomb. There is certainly a way in; the question is if we can find it.”
Carson stared at Ben: “If that’s the case, why didn’t you enter before, but now you seem to encourage to go in?”
Ben laughed: “Isn’t Mack Conley the Son of Destiny? Such people, even if not strong, are often the ones most likely to gain great fortune. I wouldn’t dare venture alone, but with the Son of Destiny, I feel it’s worth the gamble.”
Traveling with Mack, Ben naturally couldn’t hide Mack’s fate from him, without a promise puppet, forcing Mack to swear a Heavenly Oath not to reveal his identity.
Carson reflected; what Ben said wasn’t wrong.
Carson had the Great Land Sovereign and the Ethereal Pagoda as backup, so he wasn’t too afraid to enter, and said: “Let’s ask everyone else’s opinion.”
Carson transmitted the ssage to the others, and soon they regrouped.
After listening to Carson’s explanation, they looked at Ben in amazent; Judith Hamilton laughed: “I’m glad we saved you; such a hidden corridor, yet you found it. Even passing by, it’s hard to notice anything unusual.”
Callan Mason chuckled: “Indeed, without so luck, it couldn’t have been discovered.”
Luck?
Everyone’s eyes instinctively fell on Mack Conley, who smiled: “Why are you looking at ? Maybe my luck was running into Ben; that’s our heavenly guide…”
Chana Hinton asked: “So, are we going in?”
Judith Hamilton declared without hesitation: “Let’s go! If this is a test and we’ve found a way through, we must try. If it doesn’t work, we can retreat.”
Callan Mason concisely said: “Go in!”
Mack Conley sighed: “It’s easy to say go in, but everyone knows great opportunities often an great dangers. Just because you find opportunity doesn’t an you’ll gain it—where there’s opportunity, there’s danger. Once we enter, we cannot predict the outco…”
The group fell silent once more.
Yes, great opportunities co with great dangers. Even if there’s a test, those who pass gain substantial benefits, but what about those who fail?
Even naturally growing Immortal Elixirs often have powerful Demonic Beasts guarding them nearby, much less the tomb of a ruler!
Ordinary emperors’ tombs are filled with deadly traps, where few return. How could Tatum Howard’s tomb be any less?
Even though they’re a team, the test isn’t for the team but for each individual, each potentially facing life and death trials.
Mack Conley, as the Son of Destiny, might rely on luck despite his lack of strength, but what about the others?
Faced with life and death, everyone beca prudent.
As they hesitated, tens of Golden Lights suddenly streaked across the sky, rapidly approaching, revealing themselves above the group.
Instinctively, Carson and the others looked up; Mack Conley’s face suddenly changed, staring intently at the person leading the group, his eyes reddening suddenly.
“Jiang Yuelin!”
