Vexlor Lorne’s words were a blatant slap to Nico Weaver’s face, while Carson Flores’ words were a blatant slap to the entire Lorne Family.

As soon as these words were spoken, the faces of Rivenor Lorne and the others changed dramatically. Ysara Lorne scread as if a mouse had bitten her foot, "Where did this poor boy co from? Does he have a say here?"
Carson Flores glanced at Ysara Lorne and sneered, "No matter how poor I am, I’m better than soone who can only bully others under the wing of their aunt, right?"
Carson had no intention of putting up with them; he was only here for Nico Weaver’s sake. Even if he had a problem with the Lorne Family, it was out of respect for Lorne. As for Rivenor Lorne, Vexlor Lorne, and Ysara Lorne, they were nothing to him.
With just a glance, Carson could roughly gauge their strength. Rivenor Lorne was slightly formidable, probably a Profound Immortal, but as for Vexlor Lorne and Ysara Lorne, they were undoubtedly useless, perhaps equivalent to Earth Immortal True Immortal.
Relying on a Great Sect like the Azure Divine Sect, with an aunt like Oraya Lorne, yet still having such weak abilities at their age? If that’s not useless, what is?
If Rivenor Lorne had spoken, Carson might have been a bit more tactful, but with Vexlor and Ysara, who were his peers, he had no reason to hold back.

Vexlor Lorne and Ysara Lorne, provoked by Carson’s words, turned red-eyed. They relied on their aunt’s connection, and although their strength was nothing remarkable, few in the Azure Divine Sect dared to provoke them. Like roses in a greenhouse, they had never faced such sharp sarcasm.
Vexlor Lorne rushed at Carson, raising his hand to strike Carson’s face. "You brat, how dare you cause trouble in my Azure Divine Sect! I’ll beat you to death!"
Vexlor Lorne’s fist was only centiters away from Carson’s face, but it couldn’t land because Carson had grabbed his wrist.
Vexlor Lorne’s raging strength vanished instantly, like a mud ox entering the sea.
Carson coldly stared into Vexlor Lorne’s eyes and said, "Heavenly Immortal, Great Land, I’ve killed more than I can count. You, with your asly three-legged cat skills, think you can make a move on ? Out of respect for Lorne, I’ll let it slide this ti. If you dare speak insolently again, I’ll cut out your tongue!"
Carson had walked his path through kill or be killed, and the murderous intent emanating from him made him appear like an Asura. The killing intent enveloped Vexlor Lorne, who, having been pampered his whole life, was nearly scared out of his wits by the terrifying aura.
With a casual flick, Carson sent Vexlor Lorne flying backwards, smashing directly into the aggressive Ysara Lorne. Ysara tried to catch Vexlor but couldn’t withstand the force, and the two of them tumbled to the ground, rolling over several tis.
Carson had held back, so naturally, the two weren’t hurt, but they were thoroughly humiliated and embarrassed.
Rivenor Lorne was about to take action when Carson grabbed Vexlor, but before his spiritual power could surge, a vast and terrifying aura locked onto him instantly. This terrifying presence seed like a tangible hand, firmly holding him in place, not daring him to move a muscle.
Startled, he looked up to see Shirley Miller coldly staring at him, releasing that terrifying aura.
Rivenor Lorne felt goosebumps all over, as if plunged into an ice cellar.
When the Lorne siblings fell to the ground, that terrifying presence vanished as if it had never existed, making Rivenor Lorne wonder if he had imagined it.
Despite being a Profound Immortal, Shirley Miller, as Carson’s wife, appeared youthful. How could she possibly possess such terrifying power, able to intimidate him, making him feel as if he’s in an ice cellar, unable to move?

Though feeling apprehensive and not daring to act, he couldn’t quell his anger and turned to Nico Weaver, saying, "Brother-in-law, your son-in-law is too arrogant. Aren’t you going to do sothing?"
Nico Weaver, who had seen Carson stick up for him, was no longer angry and smiled, "I think Carson said it well. In the Anderson Sect, they are given leeway because of Oraya. But once they walk outside, such an attitude will lead them to suffer. It’s good to make so changes."
Before Rivenor Lorne could continue, Nico Weaver smiled and added, "After today’s events, if Oraya hears of this, they’ll probably get a scolding. So, Rivenor, your own children, you should discipline them more. If you don’t, and outsiders have to step in, it won’t just be discipline—they could end up suffering even more."
Rivenor Lorne was at a loss for words after Nico Weaver’s comnts. He did look down on Nico Weaver, deed him as soone benefiting from his sister, but he vaguely knew it wasn’t Nico who initiated their relationship; it was his sister who pursued him.
Despite this, Rivenor Lorne was indignant for his sister, hence his always condescending, sotis sarcastic attitude towards Nico. But he knew these words could only be spoken in front of Nico. If his sister heard them, it wouldn’t end well for him.
Rivenor Lorne unwillingly said, "But he hit them."
Nico Weaver calmly replied, "If you want to hit soone, be prepared to be hit back. If you don’t have that awareness, then don’t make a move to avoid embarrassing yourself!"
