Alfred Weaver and Shirley Miller stayed at the Azure Divine Sect; Alfred Weaver planned to stay a bit longer to spend ti with his father.
Shirley Miller initially intended to accompany Carson Flores to the Sea God Sect, but Carson Flores hesitated for a while before politely declining.
This trip to the Sea God Sect was firstly to resolve the hidden fluctuations of the Primordial Profound Water Technique, and secondly to see if there was any opportunity to acquire a cultivation technique to absorb Will Power. The delay in ti was uncertain, as perhaps the journey might not be completely safe.
Although Shirley Miller was stronger than Carson Flores, if sothing truly happened, she might not be able to help much. Moreover, the Ethereal Pagoda housed the Dark Ancestral Dragon with the strength of a Great Land Immortal, a power comparable to Shirley Miller’s. With him around, there was no need for Shirley Miller to risk herself by following.
Perhaps Carson Flores had a touch of male chauvinism, but he truly didn’t want to bring his wife along on such dangerous ventures.
Shirley Miller didn’t insist, but she had her own plans in mind.
From Floating Cloud’s mouth, she learned that Lilianna Norman and Samantha Tate had returned from exploring the Secret Realm with great gains, and they imdiately headed to Eastern Radiance, reportedly seeking things that could enhance their strength.
Clearly, both were eager to improve their capabilities, wanting to quickly beco stronger, so that in the end, they could assist Carson Flores.
I should put in more effort too.
Within the Sole Sovereignty Myriad Emperors Art, there was a shortcut to enhance strength, though quite dangerous. Originally, Shirley Miller didn’t intend to try it, but after so crazed advancent, she suddenly hit a bottleneck. To overco this, she would either have to slowly consu the long years or find an alternative path.
Shirley Miller chose adventure!
She didn’t ntion this to Carson Flores at all, knowing that if she did, Carson Flores would certainly disagree!
She decided to go secretly!
Coincidentally, Carson Flores and Niall Sinclair were gone this ti, so she could find an excuse to leave.
While the shortcut was difficult, with considerable risk, Shirley Miller wanted to give it a try. Carson Flores walked a different path from ordinary cultivators, constantly facing enemies far superior to him in strength. She had to grow quickly.
Even if she couldn’t grow to the level of sheltering him from storms, she at least had to be able to fight alongside him.
Even if misfortune really befell her, Carson Flores would still have Samantha and others by his side, to comfort and accompany him, preventing him from being overly saddened.
Carson Flores was unaware of Shirley Miller’s little intentions; had he known, he would rather have taken her with him to the Sea God Sect.
Carson Flores and Niall Sinclair flew all the way for months, finally arriving at the Sea God Sect’s headquarters.
The headquarters of the Sea God Sect was on Sea God Island. Though called an island, it was actually a piece of mariti continent with nurous cities and countless inhabitants.
After the battle between the Three Sects and the Sea God Sect, the two sides agreed on terms; although opponents, they weren’t at war nor mortal enemies. Hence, Carson Flores could openly visit Lorvian Randall by announcing his identity.
Yet Carson Flores didn’t do so, given that the last ti he visited Lorvian Randall, he inadvertently witnessed him being belittled, turning his visit into fuel for the fire, indefinably harming Lorvian Randall.
Now at headquarters, wouldn’t visiting again invite more talk?
Moreover, Abyssal Sect had already approached Lorvian Randall, even probing others to find Carson Flores’s identity, knowing the incident of "abducting" Niall Sinclair. If he appeared, more troubles might arise.
Carson Flores quietly entered Silent Sea City, the closest city to the Sea God Sect headquarters, teeming with nurous Sea God Sect disciples.
Carson Flores spent so Spirit Stones to locate a small leader of the Sea God Sect. He used so Spirit Stones to have him deliver a Jade Slip to Lorvian Randall, indicating he was a friend with an appointnt.
The small leader, upon hearing he was a friend of the Saint Heir, dared not neglect the duty, plus he could earn Spirit Stones from this task. Cheerfully, he went to deliver the ssage.
Carson Flores waited calmly in the city, and soon, the small leader returned.
However, accompanying the small leader was not Lorvian Randall but a young woman who wore a veil and dressed discreetly.
The woman was beautiful, poised and elegant; upon seeing Carson Flores, her eyes brightened, and she bowed in greeting: "Are you Fellow Flores of the Dragon Mountain Sect?"
Carson Flores was puzzled. Didn’t he state his identity in the Jade Slip? Why was a woman here asking, appearing uncertain?
Carson Flores returned the greeting: "I am Carson Flores, and you are?"
The young woman replied in a solemn voice: "I am Cillian Bernard, Lorvian Randall’s fiancée..."
Carson Flores’s eyes widened, registering surprise.
Fiancée?
Lorvian Randall hadn’t ntioned having a fiancée before?
"Hello Miss Cillian, isn’t Lorvian Randall here?"
Cillian Bernard’s expression turned grave, her lashes lowered, her voice somber: "Sothing’s happened to him."
Carson Flores asked in astonishnt: "What happened to him?"
Cillian Bernard lowered her voice again: "Following the last sect competition, the Sea God Sect lost the match. Upon return, the Vice Sect Hierarch accused Lorvian of colluding with the Dragon Mountain Sect, lending the sect’s treasure to the enemy, rendering the Sea Tide Pearl powerless and diminishing battle capacity, leading to the loss of the match. The Sect Hierarch was furious and penalized Lorvian Randall to labor in the Suffering Pray Sea..."
Carson Flores curiously asked: "What kind of place is the Suffering Pray Sea, and what does labor entail?"
Cillian Bernard’s eyes conveyed worry: "The Suffering Pray Sea is a land of chaotic spiritual power, where spiritual tides constantly surge. Low-level cultivators encountering the spiritual tide would be instantly obliterated without a trace; high-level cultivators can mitigate damage, withstand it, but must endure excruciating pain."
"In this world, blessings and misfortunes often intertwine. Though the living environnt in Suffering Pray Sea is harsh, it produces a type of Clam Pearl capable of significantly enhancing the probability of breakthrough during tribulation, valued highly."
"In Sea God Sect, those guilty of heinous cris are cast into Suffering Pray Sea, to bear the unending pain while they must dive into the deep sea to seek Clam Pearls."
"For lesser cris, acquiring a certain number of Clam Pearls reduces punishnt, potentially restoring freedom; for graver cris, seeking Clam Pearls can shorten the punishnt duration."
"The Suffering Pray Sea is akin to a prison, the spiritual tide a form of punishnt. Inside, life is difficult, worse than death. Many don’t survive to regain freedom, yielding to demise before release."
"Lorvian Randall has been in the Suffering Pray Sea for years; I’ve been trying every ans to rescue him, but the Sect Hierarch remains unmoved..."
Carson Flores frowned. Why was Lorvian Randall, a Saint Heir, punished by the Sect Hierarch?
"What’s his cri and how long must he remain in the Suffering Pray Sea?"
Cillian Bernard replied: "The cri is dereliction of duty and poor leadership, sentenced to a hundred years in the Suffering Pray Sea..."
Cillian Bernard’s eyes reddened as she spoke of Lorvian Randall’s charge, glimrs of tears in her eyes: "He’s innocent, others set him up!"
Lorvian Randall, you’re truly unfortunate.
Finding yourself tornted into a prison.
From Saint Heir to prisoner, the difference in treatnt is vast as heavens and earth.
Carson Flores asked: "Did you co to et specifically to convey this matter?"
Cillian Bernard bit her lip, gathering courage, she bowed towards Carson Flores: "I wish to ask Fellow Flores to help rescue him from the Suffering Pray Sea!"
