Guan Qingyue was startled by her brother’s grave expression and serious tone. She knew that if her brother said he wouldn’t care about her anymore, he really ant it, and she beca scared, quickly grabbing Guan Qingshu’s sleeve: "Brother, I just misunderstood Yang Ruxin before, right? I really know my mistake now and will never do it again. Why can’t you let go?" With that, she wiped away a tear, "Why, in your eyes, does your own sister not even compare to an outsider?"
Guan Qingshu chuckled: "If you’ve truly changed, then you’re still my good sister." Saying this, he patted her head, but inwardly sighed, hoping she truly had changed and wasn’t being insincere.
And so, the matter passed.
Although Yang Ruxin no longer had pregnancy symptoms, her appetite had beco surprisingly good, but there were plenty of hands at ho, so she wasn’t allowed to do anything.
Soon it was New Year’s Eve.
A table was set in the gatehouse, and under the guidance of Master Chu An, a group of children were writing Spring Festival couplets and the word "Fu" (fortune).
The school was already on holiday, and so of the masters needed to go ho for the New Year. Yang Ruxin prepared ample New Year goods and sent them off in a carriage, but there were also so who were alone or had nowhere to return, so naturally, they were brought to the Yang Family to celebrate the New Year.
Chu An was the oldest among the masters, mainly teaching the children calligraphy, and his writing was beautiful.
Originally, Yang Ruxin had invited him to write the couplets, but the old master said all the children had made progress, and letting them write and hang up the couplets themselves would be better.
Yang Ruxin naturally supported this, so after breakfast, she had the inkstones and brushes set up in the gatehouse.
Among the children, Zhou Xiao’s calligraphy was the best, and in Chu An’s words, it already had style and character.
Yang Ruxin did not understand much about calligraphy and could not see the style, but she felt this kid’s movents while writing were quite handso, and next was Xiaofeng. However, Xiaofeng was young, with less arm strength, so his writing appeared much weaker.
The villagers used to buy couplets, but after the school opened last year, the masters helped write them, and this year was no exception; they all ca to Yang’s house for couplets.
Actually, there was a scholar in the village, and they could totally ask Guan Qingshu for writing, but everyone unanimously forgot about that Guan Jieyuan, let alone Yang Rusong.
Chu An was not surprised nor bothered. He added more tables and ink brushes and invited those with students at ho to call their children to write their own couplets.
This made it even livelier, and nearly everyone from the village ca over.
The third great-uncle and fourth uncle were also supported and brought over; one was ninety years old and the other eighty. Not only in the village but in the whole town and Baihua County, they were considered long-lived. After all, in this era, living to seventy was rare, and the average lifespan was only fifty to sixty years, so they were treasures.
Of course, besides their good ntality, the longevity secret book for the two old n included drinking the liquor Yang Ruxin provided, which had cured their minor ailnts. Now they looked even more spirited than Yang Peili.
This was also why when Yang Ruxin talked about doing the dicinal wine business, everyone supported her; these two were living advertisents.
Yang Ruxin instructed to move chairs over for the two elders to sit and watch the kids writing couplets.
So parents held the couplets written by their own children with tears in their eyes: "Look, this is written by my son."
