Capítulo 946: Getting Separated.

Imdiately, Alec realized the rest of his team were already staring at him, hoping to hear his plan for how they would proceed with the second trial.

Funny enough, he didn’t even have a plan yet, which made him look around, hoping he’d catch so kind of clue about how he was supposed to handle it from the teams nearby .

Then he noticed most teams with more than ten mbers were already splitting into two groups: with one consisting of their main mbers, and their reserves in the other, in cases where a reserve mber was particularly special, they adjusted, pulling that specialist into the main squad and sending one of their heavy hitters to the reserve team.

They still didn’t know what the second trial would be, but many of these mages seed confident they could handle whatever ca with just their main team, that kind of confidence was standard among the premier institutions of all the Five kingdoms.

However, for so teams that already had exactly ten mbers, they didn’t bother with any extra strategy; they simply ford a single team, after watching these groups, and seeing how the leftover mbers from different squads were linking up with other leftovers from other teams, Alec shook off the idea.

As he didn’t want any mber of his team forced to find a makeshift squad sowhere else if he split them into two teams of five.

That was the furthest he was willing to go; he wasn’t going to split them any further when he didn’t know the difficulty, and he wasn’t about to risk anyone getting disqualified for lacking enough teammates to support them, as he ca to a conclusion.

“All ten of you will form the War God Mage Academy’s first team,” Alec said.

His team struggled for a mont to understand what he truly ant, but even though it took a few seconds, they figured it out and then tried to reject the idea imdiately.

“We can split into three teams and spread across those teams, I believe we’re strong enough to do this,” Pale said.

With five of them reaching the 71th to the 75th step along with Alec in the pocket he felt each of the three teams which they would create would have enough power to handle any hurdle in the second trial.

However, Alec shook his head as soon as Pale finished making a suggestion.

“We still don’t know what the second trial is about, the fact they set the maximum team size at ten tells it won’t be easy, you don’t need to worry about , I can’t really be asured as one person, and I can manage myself, if anything happens, I want you all to be able to pass this round in peace.” The reminder from Alec hit ho directly, as they rember even alone, Alec was essentially what they called a one-man army.

“Okay, then we accept your proposition, but who’s going to command the team if you’re not with us?” Agnes asked.

It wasn’t that she thought less of Beatrice being the Vice captain and all, but Beatrice preferred working behind the scenes; and when pushed to the front, she knew Beatrice wouldn’t rally morale the way Alec did.

“Lucas and Beatrice will jointly lead the team,” Alec said.

“If there’s even a slight disagreent between them, leadership temporarily transfers to Agnes to make the call until the two of them align again.” He laid out the chain of command clearly.

The mont Alec finished assigning leaders, Pale’s expression tightened.

He didn’t like it, he felt if Alec was going to put soone above him, then it should be Brandon and not Agnes, it seed to him Alec was favouring the ladies a bit too much; in his mind, Beatrice shouldn’t have even been in the conversation at all.

In the first round he believed only Brandon and Lucas had finished ahead of him, as he’d reached the 73rd step just a little later than Knight with one step still on the 72 step.

He didn’t believe that ant he’d truly lost to knight.

But he knew better than to complain about Beatrice as he understood that Beatrice’s overall strength was higher than his, and he would never defeat her in a fight.

Even the academy publicly recognized her as Alec’s next in line which is why she was given the vice captain position, so he saw nothing wrong with Alec choosing her before him.

However, he still couldn’t accept that even Agnes was ahead of him in the leadership order, that sting ca from believing he deserved certain privileges as the next mber of an Ancient clan on the team after Beatrice and Lucas.

Alec looked at him almost instantly, his irises flashing a light blue hue, the mont their eyes t, Pale llowed; Alec’s gaze bored into him, as if warning him not to stir trouble when he is not around the team.

“You don’t have to look at like that, as I won’t cause any trouble,” Pale said quickly, hating the feeling of being pinned by Alec’s eyes.

The next second, a wave of gasps spread through the crowd, the War God Mage team turned toward the sound to see a group of ten pressing their badges while holding hands and standing shoulder to shoulder.

Many were shocked because that team was already moving ahead while others were still arguing over who belonged in which group.

No one wanted to lose mbers in the second round, even if those mbers were from their reserve squads, they were all trying to ensure every teammate advanced, as they didn’t know how many they would need later.

While most were still hesitating, the ten mbers of the Argent Guild team took the first step, as a teleportation light flared around them, and they vanished from the arena.

That wasn’t the end of it, the instant they disappeared, a huge water screen materialized in the air showing them being teleported to the space, this act pulled the attention of everyone upward as they hoped to glean so insight into what they themselves would soon face.

However, just like usual, they realised the Argent Guild team seed to have been teleported to a place completely different from where they were sent the day before, and there was a tower behind them with a large crystal shining brightly, casting light over the area.

However, the next words of the mage coordinator put everyone into overdrive.

“If you don’t join with your arranged team and teleport within the next one minute, you will lose your qualifications to participate in the second round.” Imdiately after he spoke, another uproar erupted as mages rushed to press the teleportation option on their badges; none of them were willing to test that one-minute limit just to gain a few extra seconds of preparation.

Like that, even Alec skidded away from his team so the teleportation system wouldn’t make a mistake when he activates his badge.

As he moved off, he pressed his badge, and the teleportation light covered only him after he confird his body wasn’t touching anyone nearby.

And not only him, but multiple people were being enveloped by teleportation light after they pressed their badges and were transported

to spaces of their own, just like the Argent Guild team.
