Capítulo 947: Different Opponents.
Despite keeping his eyes wide open and trying to understand how the teleportation device worked, Alec still couldn’t grasp the chanism behind it.
One mont he was in the Royal Fighting Arena of the Northern Capital; and the next, he had been teleported to a new environnt he felt oddly unfamiliar with.
The instant he arrived, he surveyed his surroundings and just as he suspected, there was also a light-gem behind him like the one he’d seen on the water screen before he activated his Badge.
“Survival mission: Defend the Tower.”
A loud voice rang out, hearing “defend the tower,” Alec took his ti to study the terrain he’d been sent to.
As he noticed a scatter of broken bricks and rocks placed almost purposefully, as if to allow the enemies use them for cover.
He swiftly activated his Energy Eyes and looked ahead, as a blue hue lit his iris and as expected he realized the areas within the gem’s light-radius were densely packed with… sothing.
“Hm. Why do they look more like robots?” he muttered, noting their bodies were built like machines rather than any living lifeform he knew.
Another clue was because despite the fact that they moved, there was no “life fla” inside them.
Normally, Alec saw a fla-like aura in every living being when using his Energy Eyes.
And since these figures moved without any such fla, he concluded they had to be robots, golems, or puppets.
Without hesitating, he summoned Legion, his best golem for detection.
Legion glanced once and barked, “Get down!” The very next second, Alec felt a shift in the air.
Bullets whipped toward them from multiple directions, however while Legion had already dropped into a crouch; Alec was still parsing the mission objective, and had reacted a heartbeat slower.
That instant of delay was enough to clarify his objective, protect the gem, the source of light illuminating the area around his tower.
