Now reading: Chapter 104 - 101- Sol the Detective from The Growth of a Titan in the Cultivation World, a Eastern novel by TSETTH.

Dae-Hyun’s face was filled with distress as he slamd his head on the ground repeatedly. His entire deanor had shifted to one of a subservient follower.

Wei-Sun only glanced at him before he walked over to sit at the table. He then glanced at the wine cup Sol left untouched before closing his eyes.

Dae-Hyun, anwhile, didn’t dare utter a word.

After so ti, Wei-Sun opened his eyes and looked at the chessboard. He waved his hand, and the chessboard beca illusory before fading away.

It was his Innate Dharma.

"Get up, just don’t let it happen again."

Dae-Hyun stood up but he didn’t raise his head.

"Young Master, I just found it absurd that bastard would dare compare himself to you. Who does he think he is? B-But, I won’t let my emotions interfere again."

Wei-Sun poured himself a cup of wine and then casually said.

"Dae-Hyun, we grew up as siblings. Ever since we were young you were painstakingly taught how to be the son of the Jeagal Clan Patriarch. I don’t have a replacent for you, but if you ever do sothing like this again... well, there won’t be a third ti."

"Y-Yes, Young Master."

Dae-Hyun lowered his head further as he said that.

"But Young Master, that Sol, was he not under your Innate Dharma’s ability? How was he able to say those last few words? Unless he wasn’t?"

Wei-Sun didn’t respond but only looked back to the cup of wine Sol didn’t drink.

"I wonder, when I approached him, he strangely didn’t seem surprised at the invitation. Perhaps he was expecting one of the Great Clans to approach him. If that’s the case, he must have deduced that his situation right now is extrely delicate. One wrong move and he could beco the enemy of not just the Wudang Sect, but all the Six Holy Sects and Five Great Clans. Would soone like that willingly enter enemy territory so carelessly?"

"Then... was he not affected by the Young Master’s Innate Dharma and the other supplentary techniques?"

Wei-Sun down the wine in the cup before he stood up and said.

"I don’t know, but let’s not fully believe the answers he gave us just now."

Dae-Hyun nodded, and he cupped his fist before he sat down where Wei-Sun was.

He poured himself wine, and his deanor completely shifted back to the persona of a Young Master as he commanded.

"Wei-Sun, prepare all the Fist and Palm Martial Arts Techniques we have. I suspect Brother Sol will pick one of those."

"Yes, Young Master."

Wei-Sun cupped his fist with a bow before he turned and left to carry out the order.

If anyone had seen this scene play out, they would have thought they were going crazy.

On his way back to the Teleportation Hall, Little Zeel suddenly popped his head out of Sol’s robes.

"Awoo?"

Smiling, Sol patted his head and said.

"I’m fine Little Zeel; I knew that was an Innate Dharma the mont I touched it. But thanks for trying to warn ."

Little Zeel accepted Sol’s pats before he crawled out of his robes and onto his head. He then fell asleep.

anwhile, Sol glanced around at the disciples wearing green and white checkered robes.

"How long ago was I being tricked? If I went by the five senses, then it was when Wei-Sun first approached in his green and white robes that reflected a little too much in the sun. Then it was that Water Lily Grass I slt as soon as I entered the pavilion. After that, it was Dae-Hyun’s tap as well as the servants I heard, then the wine I was supposed to drink, and lastly when I touched Wei-Sun’s Innate Dharma. Up until I touched Wei-Sun’s Innate Dharma, everything was done to distract and get to relax."

All five senses.

Sol wasn’t a fool, he could spot those things from a mile away, but he allowed it to play out to see what Dae-Hyun was up to.

However, how could he have known he would get sothing so rewarding?

His father always said having patience in tis of doubt would sow seeds of opportunity.

Of course, Sol was happy he got a chance to sell his lies, though he technically didn’t lie to Dae-Hyun.

But more importantly, he was happy he got the manual!

Sol looked at the manual in his hand and he almost couldn’t stop himself from grinning ear to ear. He knew this manual didn’t really contain information as precious as Dae-Hyun said.

He had obviously lied.

The information in here was probably stuff that the Barbarians already knew about involving the Jeagal Clan’s thod of creating Formation Arrays.

And the only way Sol would find this out was if he went to Mar-Dule with the manual. But what then? It’s not like he could just go back to Dae-Hyun and call him out on it.

However, despite everything, the importance of this information was not the sa for Mar-Dule as it was for Sol.

Who was Sol’s Master?

The Greatest Rune Master in the Barbarian Race’s history!

The knowledge Sol had of Rune Inscriptions was nothing like the Barbarian Race. It was way more in-depth and broader. So, adding this manual into the mix, he would gain a lot from this. Like being able to link and overlap Runes, or Formations better than any Barbarian could. Perhaps it would be even better than the Jeagal Clan if he could get his hands on an upgraded version of this manual.

Sol was excited and the pace of his steps increased. He needed to reach his courtyard and imdiately devour the contents of this manual.

However, sothing else was at the back of his mind.

’It happened again when I touched Wei-Sun’s Innate Dharma. I could swear if I had allowed it, my Innate Dharma would have absorbed it.’

Sol was baffled by his own speculation, and he couldn’t even begin to comprehend what sothing like that ant.

However, this did allow him to discover that the chessboard was a Tier 8 Innate Dharma. Which made Sol find it hard to believe that Wei-Sun was soone ordinary. But as far as he knew, he wasn’t one of the Rising Stars in Jianghu.

Sol’s suspicions of Wei-Sun’s identity also increased when he rembered Dae-Hyun’s odd behavior.

’It felt very performative.’

Sol reached the Teleportation Hall and entered, but he never left his thoughts.

’Judging by the role he played in attempting to have spill my secrets, he hardly seems involved. It was Wei-Sun’s Innate Dharma that tried to control him, and he looked more like a puppet Master pulling the strings as opposed to a bystander watching what was going on.’

As Sol activated the teleportation platform beneath him, he muttered his final and most damning deduction under his breath.

"He might be able to trick soone else, but I could sense that his indifferent attitude mostly stemd from the pride in his heart. But to have that much pride while being a servant? Based on my speculations, either this Wei-Sun is rely an extrely prideful genius that’s hiding in the Jeagal Clan... or he’s the real son of the Jeagal Clan’s Patriarch."

Once again, Sol’s abnormal ability of deduction showed itself.

Maybe he should beco a detective at this point.

With a bright flash, Sol was teleported to the Alchemy Pavilion Mountain.
