The guardian and the mutated humans quickly engaged with each other, the mutant driven by their primal instinct and rage of being blocked from completing their mission got back into their hunched position and lunged forward with unearthly speed which Ikem still found weird, as the from the lifeforce of this mutants they should be able to generate such power or speed. "where is the power coming from?" Ikem thought to himself as he watched.

The soldier being lunged at, did panic as the sword he was holding took ablaze, ducking the elongated limbs that ca after the lunge while at the sa ti attacking with the attempt of cutting the mutant in half.

As soon as the sword t the mutant body, rune-like marking appeared on its skin causing the fire on the sword to snuff out but the blade still went through before being stopped.

The apeling soldier frowned under his helt, not expecting the reaction but he took notice of cut he made, quickly yelling out " They may have so resistance to our elental weapons"

Saying that, the soldier sent mana into the sword this ti it didn’t go ablaze but instead its edges took a sharp look like heated iron.

The mutant was about to rush back to the guard but the soldier unlike before also went forward to et causing them to et halfway as the soldier swapped away the claw strike heading for his helm while at the sa ti a quick downward strike which imdiately divided the mutant in half.

The sa thing happened with the other soldiers as they quickly took care of their mutant, the last mutant left was quickly ordered by Osita to move back towards him.

anwhile Ikem who has been watching the whole thing, saw what was about as he spoke out to the guards, "Get in back quickly and leave this one alive"

The soldiers down at the settlent heard the voice in their ear, they quickly took action and rushed towards the escaping mutant. One of the Soldiers got close enough and got into position while throwing the spear he had in his hand.

The spear quickly moved towards the mutant who turned around to swipe it away but the spear tore through its hand and quickly got into its shoulder.

The montum from the spear drove the mutant back while pinning it back to the ground, the soldiers quickly circled the mutant struggling to pull the spear out with its other free hand.

Soon a sound caught the soldiers attention, the looked to see humans who have been woken from the sound and fought all looking through their slightly opened doors.

"Let’s move" One of the soldiers said as he pulled out the spear tossing it to its owner, the mutant seeing this as an opportunity to kick the soldier who was effortlessly caught before a quick cracking sound could be heard as the leg was broken causing the mutant to scream out in pain.

The other soldiers did the sa with the other free limbs leaving the mutant with no chance to fight back as they picked him up before they also made their way out of the settlent.

anwhile Osita was quickly moving towards the soldiers one he noticed how quickly they took care of his created mutant’s.

Along the way, Osita saw the humans have co out of their house but he paid no mind to it as he has to quickly get Omadi back, he still has no idea what Omadi has for this to be happening but he knows either it would not be good for him.

Jumping to the top of a roof, Osita saw the guards retreating. Squatting and taking a huge lead which caused the roof of the house to sink in which a sound of scared screams inside the house but this was of no concern to Osita who was now midair as he quickly began transforming taking his demon form.

Weirdly the armor he was wearing was able to stretch and perfectly fit with his transford figure, twirling the spear weapons in his hand which caught on flas.

Osita changed his holding position on the spear holding it like a pole, once he got closer to the soldiers he slashed it like a blade causing a wave of flas rushing towards the soldiers.

The soldiers who were being attacked quickly ca together and pulled out their weapons to fight back the wave of flas coming towards them, anwhile the two soldiers carrying the mutant continued on their way out of the settlent.

The soldiers left behind were sending all the mana they have into the weapons but a voice appeared in their ears causing them to stop as they quickly began running back.

Osita who could see through the fla wave frowned not expecting the reaction from the guards but soon understood as all of a sudden a figure appeared on the other end of the fla wave.

With the figure standing them, the cold night wind began quickly stirring and soon the wind beca visible as it moved towards the flas halting their advancent.

The flas halted like it was being pushed aside which caused it to change target as it spread out to the houses nearby causing them to catch fire.

Soon the sound of panic ca as humans began screaming while running out of their hos which now caught on fire.

anwhile Zephyr and Osita were looking at each other. Soon they both were attracted by the sound, Osita looked away for a bit when he looked back Zephyr was gone.

Ikem had been closely observing the human leader’s actions, particularly when the humans caught up with his soldiers. The sudden transformation of the human leader’s appearance, coupled with the adaptive armor he wore, almost prompted Ikem to abandon his position.

"Is that the armor’s ability? Boosting strength while altering the wearer’s outward appearance? Or perhaps this Osita can no longer be considered human," Ikem pondered as he watched Osita, now visibly more enraged as more panicking humans poured out of their ho.

Soon Ikem sensed everyone in his team was back at their encampnt site, Taking one last look at the human settlent Ikem sighed, he was really itching to go into the settlent and capture this human leader himself but his father’s word stopped him.

"Son, in the future you will be be the leader of large group of people and race, I want you to bear in mind that your duty as a leader cos first, aning sotis you will make a choice you never would have made if you were not a leader" Ikem has a slight smile on his face as he rembered the words at the sa rembering himself confused about what his father way saying.

But now as he saw more humans flood out from their ho, Surging with hope toward Osita. Ikem understood if he made a move at this, no matter if it was for the betternt of the humans or not, the outlook on the humans about their people will change.

Of course, it matters not about the humans opinion about their race but the humans are a neighbor they will be sharing this land with in the future so if possible Ikem will like to preserve peace as long as he can.

But a serious look ca upon Ikem face as he walked further into the forest, "Osita count yourself lucky for now as your fate depend on the information this Omadi will give us, depending on the information you maybe eting us again very soon" Ikem thought to himself as he looked up to the moon.

"How are you doing mother? When will you and father wake up?"Ikem thought while looking at the moon. Shaking his head, the Ikem figure disappeared into the forest.

anwhile down the settlent, Osita had cald down at this ti as he took back his demon form before smiling kindly at the humans gathering around him.

"Calm down everyone, Its’ okay no need to panic" Osita said out loud as he waved his hand causing the fire to die out.

The humans taken back at the sight stopped panicking, as they looked back at Osita, their leader who they hadn’t seen in a long ti. Osita knowing what was on there mind smiled "You all must have suffered during my absence, I had to hide for a bit as i got the news about people planning to attack our ho"

"I had to fake being sick and not well to lure our enemy, but today they made a move against us" Osita said conveniently as she shook his head in sadness.

One of the human quickly shouted out, "Who are those that planned on attacking our ho and its people, Tell us leader we won’t hesitate to take up arms and fight beside you" The other humans hearing the colleague’s word joined in as they began screaming to "Tell us who the attacker was"
