The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne Chapter 780: The Two Heroes’ Forbidden Technique (1)
The Demon Emperor’s arrival filled the demon army with hope.
"Awesome! The Emperor has finally stepped in!"
"Hahaha! I knew it! There’s no way he’d just sit back and watch us get cornered! Amazing!"
"Long live the Demon Emperor! Long live the Demon Empire!"
Their cheers echoed across the battlefield.
On the other side, the human forces trembled in fear. The Demon Emperor’s appearance sent a wave of dread through their ranks.
After all, everyone knew just how terrifying he was—a being whose name alone could shake the entire continent.
"Everyone, don’t panic!" Roseline shouted. "Hold your formations! The Demon Emperor won’t be able to defeat us!"
Hearing her words, the soldiers felt their courage e back. Humanity had finally reached the most important stage of the war against the demon race.
They remembered all the hardships they had gone through, the countless demon cities they had taken just to get here.
There was no turning back now. They had to keep pushing forward, even if it meant risking their lives.
With their fighting spirit reignited, they raised their weapons and charged at the demons ahead.
The demon soldiers were undaunted as well. The arrival of the Demon Emperor had boosted their morale to its peak. Without hesitation, they raised their weapons again, and the battle erupted once more.
Zerathos landed ten meters away from Lucas and Rei. The moment he touched the ground, a shockwave spread across the battlefield.
Soldiers on both sides were jolted and nearly lost their balance.
Rei’s face paled, but he kept his cold expression.
"Just as expected of the final boss—his entrance is really something," he muttered in a low voice.
He raised his sword and pointed its tip at the Demon Emperor Zerathos.
Lucas did the same. Both of them knew fighting the Demon Emperor Zerathos required solid teamwork. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be surprising if they were the ones to lose.
Zerathos looked at Rei and Lucas with an amused gaze.
"So, you two are the heroes who’ve been causing all the trouble, huh? Interesting," he said with a slight nod. "But you’re too weak to face me. Today will be your defeat. That’s certain."
Facing his provocation, neither Rei nor Lucas took the bait.
Seeing them stay silent, Zerathos grew bored. He stretched out his hand and challenged them.
"e on, you two. Let’s end this fight right now."
Rei and Lucas crouched down, exchanged glances, and vanished from their positions.
Whoosh!
They reappeared on both sides of Zerathos, swinging their swords at the same time.
Clang!
Both swords were blocked by an invisible barrier protecting him.
"What!?" Rei and Lucas were shocked.
"Hahaha! Is that all? Disappointing," Zerathos mocked.
But Rei and Lucas didn’t give up. They retreated, repositioned themselves, and attacked again.
Each slash was so powerful it created explosions loud enough to sound like bombs.
But strangely, the barrier didn’t break at all, which left them both frustrated.
"My turn."
Zerathos clasped his hands together. A black shadow suddenly appeared beneath his feet, spreading until it reached a ten-meter radius.
From within it, dozens of shadowy hands shot out toward them.
"Watch out, Lucas!"
"I know!"
Both of them leaped into the air to evade them. However, the shadowy hands kept chasing them, as if they were locked onto their positions.
Suddenly, one of the hands grabbed Lucas’s right leg.
Lucas was startled and tried to slash it off, but the hand spun him around first before flinging him away.
Boom!
Lucas crashed into a two-meter-tall rock in the distance.
"Lucas!" Rei shouted in panic.
"Hahaha! You fool! You let your guard down!"
Zerathos’s mocking voice echoed from behind him.
Before Rei could react, Zerathos had already thrown a punch at his back.
Whoosh!
Rei’s body shot forward like a cannonball before slamming into the ground and rolling several times.
Zerathos didn’t stop there. His figure vanished, then reappeared right beside Rei.
He raised his leg and stomped down toward Rei’s face.
Boom!
The ground beneath them instantly crumbled, with cracks spreading in every direction.
"Hero of Light!" Evalyn shouted in panic.
Whoosh!
Rei reappeared about twenty meters away, his face pale as if he had lost a lot of blood.
"Hah... Hah..."
He gasped for breath, then straightened up and resumed his fighting stance.
Seeing that Rei was safe, Evalyn let out a sigh of relief. At the same time, her fear of the Demon Emperor Zerathos deepened.
She knew the demon was powerful. But she hadn’t expected him to be on this level—so overwhelming that even Rei and Lucas seemed to be struggling against him.
"Ahem!"
Lucas’s cough came from a distance.
He forced himself to his feet, then glared sharply at Zerathos.
With a mocking smirk, he said, "Demon Emperor, you truly live up to your reputation—powerful and awe-inspiring. Unfortunately, we’re not as weak as you think."
As those words left his mouth, his aura suddenly shifted. Rei followed suit.
The energy surrounding both of them turned chaotic, as if a seal restraining their power had just been broken.
Boom!
Black light erupted from Lucas’s body, while golden light burst from Rei’s.
Within a five-hundred-meter radius, the air was instantly filled with overwhelming pressure.
It felt as if two mythical beasts had broken free after having their power sealed away.
The air trembled violently, and the ground beneath their feet cracked one by one under the growing pressure.
Seeing this, Evalyn’s eyes widened in shock. Her heart pounded as she muttered, "They’re actually using it... that forbidden technique."

Last night...
"Ancestor, how are you going to defeat the Demon Emperor?"
Rei, who was relaxing on the bed, was startled by the question. He smiled and replied, "Why do you ask?"
"I’m just curious," Evalyn said as she sat on the edge of the bed. "The Demon Emperor is incredibly powerful. With your strength and Hero Lucas’s, it’s impossible to defeat him by conventional means, isn’t it?"
Rei fell silent for a moment before chuckling softly.
"You’re quite perceptive."
He sat up and nodded slightly.
"You’re right. Conventional methods won’t work. Lucas and I have already discussed this, and we’ve agreed to sacrifice ourselves."
"Sacrifice yourselves?" Evalyn’s eyes widened in shock.
"What do you mean?"
Rei took a deep breath, looked directly into her eyes, and said softly, "Evalyn, thank you. Because of you, humanity has reached this stage. I don’t know how I, Lucas, and the human forces in the historical records of your era could have achieved victory without your presence."
His words made Evalyn’s throat tighten.
"Ancestor, I..."
Before she could finish, Rei raised his hand.
"Don’t feel inferior. What I said is pletely true."
Evalyn fell silent, and Rei continued.
"In the uping battle against the Demon Emperor, Lucas and I will use our ultimate techniques. Their names are Sacrifice of Light and Final Eclipse."

Author’s Note: Over the past few days, I’ve been feeling a bit burned out. For some reason, I feel like my writing skills have slipped a bit. Maybe it’s because I’ve been in my fort zone for too long? It seems that way.
So, I’ve decided to write another book. The title is "Elf System: Rise of the Elf Monarch."
It’s not for mercial purposes, but to hone my ideas and skills so I can improve. If it’s okay, could you help me review it? Just for reference. Thank you!
Oh, right. It might be a bit late, but I’m going to set up a Discord group. Tomorrow night, I’ll share the link on my profile. If you want to join, feel free! Thanks again!
