Chapter 24: dicine King Scripture

“It’s already been a whole day, and no one has found us yet?”

As the sky gradually darkened, Li Yunqing’s gaze flickered. She looked at the still motionless cliff and frowned slightly.

Within this desolate place, there was only that single clear spring, with a few low shrubs around—there was no food.

They could endure for a short ti.

But if no one found this place for ten days or half a month, no one could hold on.

Moreover, being stranded here together with a man was highly inconvenient.

“Mingyu Fist experience 60.”

“Mingyu Fist (Mastery 70/500.) Trait: Ice-Like Skin and Jade-Like Bones.”

Li Yunqing withdrew her fists and glanced at the text. “At most seven or eight days, and the fist technique will reach Great Mastery.”

“For now, I need to find so food.”

“Prepare for the worst.”

She turned and walked toward the cliff. Seeing Jiang Yu’s flushed face and tense body, she imdiately understood.

He was probably holding it in.

“Hahaha…”

Li Yunqing could not help but laugh inwardly, but she did not pay it much attention.

She could help with bandaging wounds or feeding water, but other matters—she truly could not help at all.

Even this was only because Jiang Yu had risked his life to protect her.

Otherwise, to her, he was no different from a stranger.

Even if they were to beco engaged in the future, it would only be a formality—it would never beco real.

She turned and walked toward the clear pool, looking into its waters.

“I wonder if there are fish?”

After a mont of thought, she sat cross-legged by the pool, her spiritual power entering the water.

“Oh? There are fish!”

“This pool might be connected to underground water veins?”

“It’s just a bit too deep!”

Her spiritual power could spread about a zhang around her—roughly three to four ters—yet she still could not sense the bottom of the pool.

However, she did detect movent of fish in the deep water.

“The sun has already set.”

She glanced at the dim sky, and with a thought, a phantom figure surged out from above her head.

It then stepped directly into the pool, silently rging into it.

“There really are fish!”

After diving about ten ters into the pool, Li Yunqing saw traces of fish, and they were not small.

“Wait… there’s sothing below?”

Her gaze fixed on the bottom of the pool. In the darkness that should have been pitch black, there were faint points of light.

Without hesitation, she quickly dived downward.

With her Yin Spirit leaving the body, the water posed no obstruction at all. At this mont, her Yin Spirit seed to rge with the deep pool itself.

There was no ripple, no disturbance.

“It’s actually this deep?”

After descending nearly five hundred ters, when her connection to her physical body had grown sowhat faint, Li Yunqing finally discovered the source of the faint light.

“It’s a luminous pearl!”

“No… this is a cave!”

Arriving at the source of light, Li Yunqing was stunned.

Before her stood a stone door, covered in aquatic plants. The faint light ca from the eyes of a beast statue in front of the door.

Eyes made of luminous pearls.

“Could this be an immortal’s dwelling?”

After a mont of thought, her Yin Spirit passed through the stone door without obstruction and entered a chamber.

The chamber was only the size of a single room. At its center was a ditation cushion woven from an unknown material, already scattered and decayed, as if it had been burned.

Around the cushion lay scattered bones.

Clearly, this dwelling had existed for an unknown number of years. Even the bones had decayed, losing all luster, leaving only a dull gray.

“There are words!”

Li Yunqing floated above the cushion and looked at the ground.

“Spiritual energy has dissipated, heaven and earth have backlashed, the immortal path is severed, the Five Decays of Heaven and Man have arrived, immortals and gods have perished—where lies the path ahead?”

Seeing the inscription, she instantly understood—this was an immortal’s cave from countless years ago.

An immortal’s dwelling buried hundreds of ters underground.

Within the entire cave, everything had turned to ash. Nothing remained except the surrounding stone walls.

“Hm?”

Suddenly, Li Yunqing paused slightly and looked toward the stone wall behind the cushion.

There, faint light flickered.

“What could it be?”

She floated over and directly passed into the stone wall. “There’s actually another hidden chamber.”

Looking at the even smaller chamber before her, Li Yunqing paused, her gaze locking onto a crystalline platform at the center, like solid ice.

On the platform was a bowl-sized depression, filled with a thick, jade-like liquid that emitted an intense chill.

The ice on the platform had almost entirely spread outward from that depression.

“What is this?”

The mont Li Yunqing approached, she felt a terrifying chill strike her.

Even her Yin Spirit could not help but shiver.

In that instant, even her reactions slowed, and a thin layer of frost spread across her Yin Spirit.

It rapidly expanded, covering her entire form in the blink of an eye.

“So cold!”

“This thing can actually freeze a Yin Spirit?”

Li Yunqing tried to retreat, but found herself unable to move.

Her Yin Spirit was like an ice sculpture, gradually being frozen solid.

“If this continues… will I end up like this platform, sealed in ice forever?”

Thinking of that outco, her heart trembled, her gaze locking onto the liquid in the depression.

“My only choice!”

As her thoughts moved, her fingers trembled slightly, forming seals with difficulty.

The thod of controlling objects.

“Buzz!”

At the mont the hand seals ford, the jade-like liquid in the depression trembled slightly and was actually drawn upward.

A single drop floated like a crystalline gem and directly entered Li Yunqing’s Yin Spirit.

“Boom!”

In that instant, a cold yet warm energy flooded her.

As the energy circulated, her Yin Spirit began to solidify at a visible rate.

It was as if she had consud so great tonic—her form no longer felt illusory.

“What is this? It can nourish the Yin Spirit!”

Li Yunqing was shocked, but did not hesitate. Taking advantage of the strengthening of her Yin Spirit, she quickly drew in more of the liquid.

Only by strengthening her Yin Spirit could she avoid being frozen here.

There was no room for hesitation.

As drop after drop entered her Yin Spirit, she could feel her form becoming increasingly solid.

“There are only nine drops?”

Sensing that her Yin Spirit now felt almost like it had flesh and blood, Li Yunqing realized the liquid was gone.

“No, there’s still sothing in the depression!”

Seeing that all the liquid had been absorbed, her Yin Spirit trembled slightly—and easily shattered the surrounding ice.

“My Yin Spirit has beco several tis stronger!”

She raised her hand and reached into the depression, actually touching it as if she had a physical body.

The next mont, she pulled out a jade slip.

“A jade slip?”

Holding the jade slip, Li Yunqing glanced around. After confirming there was nothing else, she quickly retreated.

“Whoosh!”

Her speed was several tis faster than when she had entered the water.

In just a mont, her Yin Spirit floated out of the pool and returned to her body.

Before even opening her eyes, everything within a radius of five zhang appeared clearly in her mind.

“My Yin Spirit has grown four to five tis stronger!”

Feeling the range of her spiritual perception, Li Yunqing was astonished. “What was that jade liquid?”

“And this jade slip!”

She pressed the jade slip against her forehead, her spiritual power surging.

“Boom!”

Information flooded into her mind like a torrent.

Even with her current ntal strength, she froze for several breaths before gradually recovering.

As the knowledge from the jade slip integrated into her mind, lines of text suddenly appeared before her.

“dical, Poison, and Alchemy experience 200.”

“dical, Poison, and Alchemy (Perfection)”

“dical, Poison, and Alchemy has reached Perfection. Trait derived: Immunity to All Poisons.”

“dical, Poison, and Alchemy, Ghost Gate Needles, automatically replaced by dicine King Scripture.”

“dicine King Scripture (Beginner 0/1000) Trait: Identify dicine by Scent, Immunity to All Poisons.”

“Buzz!”

At that mont, the jade slip in her hand trembled slightly, then silently turned into powder.

“It’s actually the dicine King Scripture!”
