In order to enter the Spirit Realm without being crippled by the atmosphere in there, Rex had to strengthen his soul. He tried adapting to the atmosphere but the process would take ti, sothing that he didn't have.
Recalling that Succubi's souls are robust, he thought of asking Elder Tilrith for help.
Atop of being the Demon Queen, she's also the Sin of Lust's wielder as well as a Succubus.
If anyone knew about strengthening the soul, it should be her.
Of course, this was not a spontaneous decision, Rex thought about this deeply.
He even consulted with the System to see if there were other alternatives but because of the ti constraint, most options, were eliminated. Soul strengthening—is not an easy process, it requires willpower and ti—it can't be rushed.
Because of that, Rex could only turn to Elder Tilrith's help.
Other than her, he could ask the Shapeshifters but that wasn't an option.
Rex has t Elder Tilirth on multiple occasions, and he also conversed with her the most—as she even ca to his coronation. In a sense, he knew her well so there's no reason for him to take additional risks by going to strike a deal with the Shapeshifters, with Elder Enima.
He wouldn't know what to expect from Elder Enima.
However, he now seriously considering going to the Shapeshifters instead.
"Do you forget who you are talking to...?" Rex asked, his voice laced with threats and anger.
Despite expecting a pricy demand, this was way beyond his limitations.
Asking for his child when it wasn't even born was diabolical.
Since Elder Tilrith was there during the night of the coronation banquet—she was one of the few who knew about Calidora's pregnancy. And she didn't hesitate to use that card blatantly against Rex.
Hearing anger inside his voice, Elder Tilrith let out a sharp, derisive laugh.
She then glanced at Rex with contempt, "It's only a child, you can make a replacent"
Rex was fuming inside, the child wasn't planned but it was still his, and the disrespect—from Elder Tilrith was testing his patience. But instead of showcasing his anger, he exhaled lightly from his nose, suppressing his anger.
Don't be lured, stay calm—being angry is exactly what he wanted.
At this mont, the Clarentium Empire and the Demon Kingdom were in a cold war.
None of the sides wanted to turn the cold war into war.
Because of that, both sides need to be reasonable.
Finding an opportunity landing on her lap, Elder Tilrith was going to milk it dry.
She couldn't ask for unreasonable requests but if she could sohow make Rex angry which a Werewolf like him was prone to do—and force him to do—sothing offensive, Elder Tilrith could use that as a reason to heighten her demands.
For those in power like her, a political eting like this has always been a ga.
But fortunately, Rex saw through it and kept his composure.
Instead of answering Elder Tilrith directly, Rex turned towards the battle.
He remained silent for a second, gathering his thoughts until he was finally ready to talk.
"I have no doubts with the change of the world, you've gotten stronger too," Rex said, eyeing Elder Tilrith as albeit she was hiding her aura—he could tell that she was a lot stronger. "I am positive you could even pose a challenge for but I wonder, do the other Archdemons also experience the sa boost?"
Upon hearing this, Elder Tilrith turned towards him as a frown blood on her face.
"What do you an by that...?" She asked raspingly.
Rex shrugged his shoulders, composed, and relaxed, "It would be quite unfortunate if as your ancient battle against the Angels reached the boiling point, soone would use that mont to pay a visit to your Demon Kingdom without you being there"
"Because as soone alike, I would be infuriated if that happened," He added.
Elder Tilrith cracked a smile, the corner of her lips stretched ear-to-ear—seemingly enjoying this political banter. It was obvious to her, what the underlying ssage was. Having to fight the Angels directly, the Demon Kingdom would be exposed without her.
And if she displeased Rex now, she would need to watch her behind all the ti.
Or else, her kingdom would be attacked while she was away.
"Don't threaten ," Elder Tilrith chuckled—and crossed her arms gracefully, she then tilted her head toward Rex, in a confident manner. Her demonic fangs poked out, from her mouth, "soone who is in a hurry doesn't have the power here. I will not budge from my offer"
Rex was shocked inside but he remained stoic outside.
It was his counteroffer earlier, it basically told Elder Tilrth that he was in a hurry.
Just then, Rex recalled sothing as the turmoil inside vanished.
"I suggest you reconsider," Rex said before glancing at the crawling figure to their right, it was Mavenna who was paling, and struggling to reach them. "a Rosadonna Succubus will unlock her abilities once she has a master. I'm sure you don't want to lose that privilege"
Elder Tilrith froze for a mont, she was so shocked to hear that.
Despite her impenetrable mask, the fact that Rex knew about this lted her mask.
Even if it was only for a fraction of a second, it was clear that Elder Tilrith cared.
She reacted strongly... What is her relationship with Mavenna, really?
Under that pressure, Elder Tilrith paused for a second until she finally yielded.
"Okay, you win, Royal Black Prince," She surrendered, averting her gaze away from Rex's. "As opposed to having your child, as insurance, I'll instead give your child—a Demon Seal. It's not sothing harmful, you don't have to worry"
"A Demon Seal...?" Rex raised an eyebrow questioningly.
Elder Tilrith nodded, "It's a seal that once your child reaches seven, it would be teleported to . I will have the right to your son for two years. I will not cause harm or long-lasting effect, but will give it training instead"
Rex couldn't hide his frown, it seed he couldn't dissuade Elder Tilrith away from his child.
He didn't know why she was doing this but it was definitely not good.
System, is there such a thing as a Demon Seal that she described?
