Rex stared at Duke Lorcan’s decapitated head and then back at Princess Davina.

He thought this eting would end badly for him.

After all, anger consud him, and he was made to do things beyond what he initially prepared to do.

Now, Princess Davina said that she was angry not because of what he did to the empire, but because he was looking down on her. And—as if the surprise wasn’t great enough, she ca with the head of her own father inside a treasure box.

"Did you kill him?" Rex asked, eyes widening in disbelief.

"No and yes," Princess Davina answered. "I gave the permission, and Lilliana killed him.

"He was rallying the scattered forces and his own to help Emperor Dominar." Princess Davina’s voice was calm despite what she was saying. "If we left him alone, he would have at least a million fighting n that would be tasked to hunt you down or worse, to parley with the Sky City."

"But still," Rex looked up at her in disbelief. "He’s your father."

"That’s rich coming from you," Lilliana snickered. "You’re an emperor, aren’t you?"

Rex was at a loss for words.

He is an emperor in the Mortal Realm, but his upbringing wasn’t a gallery of perfect portraits and empty halls. Rather, he was raised in a humble ho, and forced to walk through the cruel path that might be close to that of a nobility’s conquest.

It still surprises him that they do this.

"I wasn’t raised an emperor," Rex shook his head and then looked at the sisters. "But are you sure about this? Past the fact that he’s your father, he’s also the last male of the Castillon House. Killing him ant the destruction of the house. No heir ans no future."

"Oh—that’s presumptuous of you to say," Lilliana crossed her arms under her breasts, and traced her lips with a finger. "I am not a part of the house anymore, yes—but Davina is still a Castillon. Or is this your way of saying she’s now going to be a Silverstar?"

"That’s not my point," Rex grumbled.

He was slightly irritated by how Lilliana was looking him up and down.

"It’s fine," Princess Davina intervened. "We knew what this ant, and we already accepted it."

Rex didn’t press further.

He may object to this kind of behavior, but there was another part of him that found what Princess Davina did quite pleasing. To think that she was willing to kill her own father and even let the empire crumble for him was quite moving.

Of course, she must have more reasons than he.

Disappointnt is probably the moving factor.

"We will not deny that we also did this for our own desires," Lilliana approached. Her wavy hazelnut hair that always braided and neat, was now let loose freely, bouncing against her shoulders. "But this is also to your benefit, so you have to... reciprocate."

"Hmm...?" Rex raised a brow. "What does that supposed to an?"

"It’s exactly what it ans," Princess Davina hovered closer and then leaned toward his face. "For taking out one of your biggest problems, you have to repay us. For specifically," She offered a bright, gentle smile, but there’s a cold edge to it. "I want you to abandon April. Fully abandon her."

Rex didn’t think much about what she wanted.

He has the System.

Anything she wanted could be provided for easily, but this completely caught him off guard.

"Ask for sothing else," Rex dismissed her request.

"I don’t want anything else," Princess Davina shook her head. "That’s the only thing I want. She’s only a burden to you. Look at what happened; she made you risk your life to save her. How many tis did she do that?

"Admit it. You’re better off without her," She added with the most honeyed voice.

Rex has never heard her voice this sweet.

"She didn’t make save her. I was ambushed and taken alongside her," He refuted.

"Regardless," Princess Davina hovered closer. "I still want you to abandon her."

"And you?" Rex asked without turning to Lilliana.

"As her big sister, I also want her to be happy," She replied teasingly. "I want you to do her request."

Rex was cornered.

Both of them ca here with a united intent, and now it was two against one.

"Killing Duke Lorcan isn’t worth leaving April," Rex turned around to head back to his healing pool. "I doubt he could co to any agreent with the Sky City after what I did, anyway. Ask for sothing else. I can even give you two more powers."

"If you don’t accept our requests," Princess Davina’s voice trailed. "Then you’ll lose us."

Rex halted abruptly.

Seeing this only made Princess Davina more daring. Above everything, she’s also a noble, and a good one at that. Negotiating and reading body cues are one of her areas of expertise, "An Alpha is only an Alpha if he’s stronger than the Beta. But you’re not stronger than ."

"Are you saying that I..." Rex turned to look over his shoulder slowly—his aura shaking the ground beneath his feet. His throat rumbled with a low growl, "Can’t beat you?"

Of course, the answer was yes.

But that wasn’t what Princess Davina was talking about.

In a battle purely of individual strength, without external help, Rex wouldn’t be able to win.

He’s still an Eternal Spirit, while she is a Divine Spirit.

"Don’t look at like that," Princess Davina’s voice softened. She doesn’t want Rex to be angry at her, but this is a conversation she must have right now. "I am not picking a fight. I only want you to choose over her."

Liliana pinched her waist from behind, warning her to swallow her pride.

Not going all out would only be to their disadvantage.

It was never wise to confront a man like Rex with ego and anger.

The only ans to attack soone beastly and strong like him is through a velvet touch.

And that’s what she told Princess Davina before coming here.

Princess Davina bit her lower lip and looked away, "Please? I’m still your fiancée. And I’m aski—no, begging you to abandon her. Whatever she does, I can do way better and more. Just do this one thing, and I’ll prove it to you."

Rex clicked his tongue and placed both hands on her waist to contemplate.

Only a few hours ago, he realized April was already inside his world.

And now, he was asked to leave her again.

It’s almost like the world was having fun watching him struggle.

"He’s thinking," Lilliana coiled her arm onto Princess Davina’s arm and whispered. "Didn’t I tell you not to give him ti to think? Go there and touch him or sothing. Werewolves are exhausted both ntally and physically after a full moon."

"Sister, I never touched a man before," Princess Davina refuted silently. "How do you expect to do that?"

Just then, Rex straightened his back.

"Okay," He said, surprising the sisters. He turned around to look at them, "Okay, I’ll do it."

"You’re really going to do it?" Lilliana asked, slightly taken aback.

"Yeah." Rex shrugged and turned back toward the dical pool’s greenish glow. "Now, if you’ll excuse . I was relaxing until two sisters decided to drop in unannounced." He sank into the steaming water until it reached his v-lines. "Go find sothing to do if you’re not getting in."

Rex leaned back on the other end, back to his original position.

His body really needed this.

But his head shot up when he heard the sound of parting water.

Considering that the two sisters ca here with intent, he thought they would leave him again, as they have things to manage in this chaos. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. On the opposite side, Princess Davina subrged herself until the water touched her chin.

Her clothes were placed on the ground, which ant she was naked.

"Aren’t you supposed to be a princess?" Rex raised a brow.

"Yes, and there’s nothing wrong with taking a bath with my fiancée," She replied harshly.

Rex’s eyes turned away from her and fixed on Liliana.

A towel woven of her own life energy was her sole covering—a sheer, clinging drape over her front. It barely spanned from the swell of her breasts down to the junction of her thighs, leaving the rest of her form openly silhouetted in the soft light.

Unlike Princess Davina, who was more toned, she has more curves.

Maybe because she’s a married woman.

Their eyes t as she slowly dipped her long leg into the pool to feel the temperature.

"Eyes forward," Princess Davina’s voice snapped him from his stupor.

Lilliana chuckled, but her face clearly showed that she was pleased to be able to stun Rex for a mont.

Rex cleared his throat and lowered himself into the water.

Ever since the Forsaken Tower, I hadn’t gotten the ti to release my libido. Shit.

Not only that, with the afterglow of the Blood Moon, he was really vulnerable physically and ntally right now. His body yearned to rest, and that also prompted it to seek the Luna’s touch. Evelyn wasn’t here, so he was really frustrated.

"So, tell about your empire, Rex," Lilliana spoke, then corrected. "Can I call you Rex?"

She’s teasing . Is she stupid? Davina is right there.

It was a blatant, breathy tease. Lilliana ntioned his na excessively, and she also drew his na out in a voice slightly higher than her normal voice, letting it linger on a sigh. Each repetition is a deliberate, tempting hook.

Rex turned to Princess Davina and realized she was completely oblivious to the tease.

It was only then that he realized why Lilliana was this daring.

Princess Davina was too innocent about this.

"You can call anything you want," Rex shrugged, but he soon regretted saying it when Lilliana’s eyes played with what he said. "Ekhm... My empire oversees a few racial kingdoms, and it’s basically the strongest faction on the continent."

"That’s boring," Liliana flicked her hand. "Tell us about your wives. How many are they? How many children do you have? And do you have concubines?"

Rex faked a cough when he heard the list of questions.

"I don’t think you wanted to kno—" He paused when he realized Princess Davina was interested in the topic. She was leaning forward, and her eyes were sparkling with curiosity. "I haven’t married anyone, but let’s say there are three. Four if I’m forced to admit it. I don’t have any children. Well, one is on the way, I ant. And no concubines."

"Oh... That’s really few," Princess Davina murmured, evidently happy with the answer.

"Just one kid?" Liliana snorted dubiously. "Soone like you only has one kid? I doubt it."

"What about you?" Rex eyed her sharply. "How many kids do you have? And is your husband fine with you being naked in front of another man?"

"I have four kids. Before you, alien usurper, judge, that’s really few for my age," Liliana answered, while wetting and brushing her hair with the dical water. "And my husband probably hated now for siding with you, so it doesn’t matter."

"Poor husband," Rex sneered while still eyeing her.

Liliana raised a brow, clearly annoyed by his comnt, but she didn’t let it get to her.

Instead, she turned towards him.

"Why do you ask?" She placed her elbow on the edge, raising her body a little to almost expose her blissful left breast, and then pressed her cheek over her knuckles. "Are you checking if I’m available? I’m still only three-hundred years old, you know. I’m more than capable of giving you one or two,"

"One or two what?" Rex’s breaths were heavier now.

His chest rose higher than normal, like he was running out of oxygen.

"One or two kids, of course," An elegant but taunting smile sliced her face. She then made her hand glow underwater so that Rex could see it even from the surface and playfully drew a circle with her index finger below her navel. "I’m very fertile."

Crash—!

Out of nowhere, the cavern wall a dozen ters from them crumbled.

Rex and Liliana turned towards Princess Davina and saw that her face was beet red.

"Did you forget I’m here? Stop flirting!"
