Now reading: Chapter 1944: Sorry from The King of Hell's Genius Pampered Wife, a Romance novel by Xiang Si Zi.

A young man, dark and cruel, yet fragile and lonely in a way that tugged at her heart.

Xi Yue let out a soft sigh and walked slowly toward Weizhi. As she neared, her sharp eyes caught sight of the blood on his hands and the trail of blood that had pooled at his feet.

The hesitation and uncertainty in Xi Yue’s expression vanished, replaced by a surge of anger. In an instant, she appeared in front of Weizhi, grabbed his hand with a firm grip, and coldly asked, “What do you think you’re doing?”

Weizhi’s hands were always warm, and his body temperature was consistently higher than most people’s.

But the hand she now held in her palm, coated in thick, sticky blood, was chillingly cold to the touch.

As the warmth from her hand seeped into him, Weizhi’s hollow, lifeless eyes slowly regained focus, eventually resting on Xi Yue’s face. His raspy voice, almost like a sigh, barely whispered two words, “Xi Yue…”

Xi Yue had a sullen face. Without even looking at him, she channeled her water spiritual power to her hand and cleaned the blood on his hand.

As the bloodstains vanished, Xi Yue’s gaze fell upon the deep, bone-revealing wound, the meridians severed. Her pupils dilated in shock, and the fury that had been simmering in her chest erupted uncontrollably. “Wei Zhi!” she shouted, her voice trembling with anger. “What did I tell you? Don’t hurt anyone, and that includes yourself!”

Weizhi’s long lashes fluttered gently, and his captivating eyes locked onto her, his gaze lingering deeply. “I thought you wouldn’t want me anymore,” he murmured.

The veins on Xi Yue’s forehead throbbed, and she was so pissed off by this young maniac.

She shot a cold glare at Wei Zhi. “If I misunderstood, why didn’t you explain? Does saying you didn’t mean to do it hurt that much?”

Wei Zhi pressed his lips together in silence, but in his dark eyes, a flicker of longing slowly formed, as if they were silently speaking of deep grievances and unspoken hurt.

How could she still be angry when faced with a young man like this?

Xi Yue shook her head with a bitter smile. Deep down, she knew Weizhi was a dangerous little oddball, but in her eyes, he would always be harmless. He was someone who wholeheartedly protected her, and before she even realized it, she had e to see him as a true young brother.

Xi Yue sighed and gently said, “I’m sorry. I misunderstood you. e inside with me for now. Your meridians are damaged, and I need to perform special treatment.”

No matter whether Weizhi gave an explanation or not, she shouldn’t have been so rash. If she hadn’t acted so impulsively, he wouldn’t hurt himself.

But Weizhi didn’t move. Instead, he stared at her intently, his cold eyes seeming to turn into a vortex, capable of swallowing one’s very soul. “Tell me you’ll never push me away, that you’ll never abandon me,” he whispered.

Xi Yue froze for a moment, then raised an eyebrow and sneered, “Not bad. You’ve grown up, and now you’re even setting conditions with me!”

“But Weizhi,” Xi Yue continued, her tone sharp, “Listen to this clearly. If you ever hurt yourself like this again, I’ll have no hesitation in kicking you out. I mean what I say.”

After saying that, she didn’t even glance at Weizhi’s reaction. With a firm pull, she dragged him inside.

The young man trailing behind her paused for a moment, then a faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

The graceful and captivating eyes now lost the coldness and cruelty they had held just hours ago. Instead, they were filled with a subtle warmth, enough to make one’s heart swoon.

After going inside, Weizhi took off the mask from his face. He never wore a mask when facing Xi Yue alone.

Xi Yue momentarily lost herself in the sight of Weizhi’s devilishly handsome face, a fleeting distraction before she quickly regained her focus. She pulled out a silver needle and began treating the damage in his meridians.
