I was tempted to smash the faces of the Pope and the High Priest in despite standing in front of the Pope.

Majorly because, around four days ago we had had a eting. Benedict, I and Lyall had t up along with the other lackey Priests. Benedict was there to gauge my Healing abilities.

"Where is Lord Ace?" He had asked and Lyall answered for .

"Master had so important work that’s why he sent the Lady with ."

Benedict’s eyes lingered on for a while along with those of the other Priests, he seed to be assessing .

"Please co this way." He said and started walking.

The place that he had selected was in the outskirts of the town, a slum area, and the building was probably the largest of them all. There was the amalgamation of all kinds of scents, excretion, rotting flesh, blood, you na it and you’ll sll it.

The Priest led us down the stairs towards the underground room and I could already hear the sounds of agonizing wails and sobs. It was as if I was being led to the similar place that I had been seeing for the past month.

He stopped in front of the large wooden door and then opened it with a key. He gestured us to follow and the other two priests walked in behind us as if to make sure that I didn’t run.

Inside, was a room lit up by the burning torches. It was scorching hot and the air was unbearable thick.

The people inside were on the bed, each of their arms chained to the iron nails stuck on the walls. Their bodies were badly malnourished and mutilated. So of them seed to be suffering from diseases while the others were on their last breaths.

"What is this place?" Lyall spoke up, I could sense his unease.

"These are the holess and the criminals from dungeons of the Temple as well as from the Royal palace." Benedict filled us in.

"And you want them to be healed?" Lyall asked.

"It’s only an experint to see the Lady’s abilities." Benedict simply said and I could see why these people were gathered here.

They were disposable. Nobody would care of they died in process of checking soone’s abilities. Their lives ant nothing.

I felt my Presence slowly oozing out of in waves showing how displeased I was after seeing it but I wordlessly stepped ahead.

I stood in the center of the room, I didn’t know what they would do after these people were healed. I didn’t ask because I knew it wouldn’t be anything good.

"Activate Supre Healing." I commanded in my head and the power rushed out of .

I waited till my Mana did its work before it subsided. The air felt cleaner and more bearable now, the scorching heat was replaced by a cool presence and the patients who were wailing and anguished seed to be coming to their senses.

Realising that their injuries were cured and lost limbs had returned they reveled in joy while the Priests had an amusing expression. Benedict’s eyes were as wide as saucers and his face had turned pale. The other Priests’ jaws were conveniently sitting on the floor and eyes ready to fall off of their sockets.

"She’s a real Goddess!" The pudgy Priest shrieked and Benedict regarded with a smile.

"You have done well, Miss. Now shall we-"

I didn’t respond to him as I walked past him and Lyall spoke in my stead.

"Rember what you were rold," I heard Lyall’s cold voice before he stepped out behind .

"They’re replusing." Lyall muttered as he walked by my side.

"It’s fine, that all the more justifies our actions." I spoke making him chuckle.

"What will do about the Saint, Master?"

"Let’s see..." I mumbled.

With that we had returned back to Asher’s mansion.

Coming back to the present, then the Pope was still assessing my Mana.

I saw the sharp expression mar the Pope’s face for a split second, it was as if he had been struck by sothing as he held my hands in his.

His eyes glazed over and then he masked his expression with a huge smile and awe-filled eyes.

"Oh my!... Goddess indeed... Her magic power surpasses all of the Healers I’ve t up till now, it’s on par with the Saint if not beyond!"

His voice filled the Temple and the audience gasped and started whispering about it while I almost rolled my eyes.

I had been holding back a great amount of my power and if he can still say that it was far beyond any power he’d sensed then I could only see how weak the humans were.

[Defender of Divine Glory calls you out as a conceited person.]

"I’m a Dragon." I corrected him.

[Goddess of Wisdom reminds Defender of Divine Glory that you are fare more superior in comparison with humans.]

"Thank you, Goddess."

"She shall be our Goddess, sent to us in these difficult tis..."

The pope went on droning on and on as how I was a sign that Denril was superior to the other kingdoms.

I stifled a yawn and looked at the Saint child who was smiling at , he seed really happy that I kept my promise to co get him. But I wondered why he was so desperate.

"Glory to our Goddess!" The Pope cheered and the people joined in.

Being called a Goddess was good enough but I didn’t need that much lilight.

"Pardon saying this, Your Holiness." I spoke up making him look down at .

"But, I’m rely a human who is following the God’s will of helping my kin. I don’t deserve to be called a Goddess."

"Humility is the virtue of Heavens!" He smiled.

"Your light reminds of the vision I saw of Saintess Miella." The pope announced.

Say what?

"He can see visions too?" I thought or rather questioned to my Patrons.

[Goddess of Wisdom asks you to confirm it yourself.]

The crowd cheered along and I activated my Mana Eyes commanding to see his stats.

I almost snorted at what I saw, he was a normal human with only a Mage with good psychic abilities, his power could only be better able to reach a normal Scholar level mage. That explained why he could only sense so much of my power, his power wasn’t enough to dive deeper into and sense just how imnse the Dragon’s strength was.

"You must be the Saintess’s reincarnation!" He announced.

"The reincarnation of the Saintess!"

"In Denril?"

"Then, does that an we will beco a Holy Nation?"

I could hear the whispers of the people and the Pope seed satisfied by the reaction.

"Denril has been blessed, that’s why not only the Saint but the Dragons have sent us the Saintess Miella’s reincarnation too!"

The people cheered hearing this and the Pope continued, "So henceforth, Miss Mirielle shall be the Saintess of the Temple as per the will of the Dragons and the Gods that look over Denril!"

"All Hail Saintess Miella!"

"All Hail the Dragons!"

"All Hail the Saint and Saintess!"

The people started cheering loudly, their voices echoed the Temple and I wondered just what they would feel that a Dragon had arrived instead.

But then again, I was officially in the Temple now so, here begins the real deal.

After the large ceremony where I had to display a little bit of my power, I was escorted to the quarters that I’d be staying in. There were a couple of ladies who would serve as per Benedict’s or rather Ace’s orders.

I reached in front of my room, led by the two girls and the High Priest and saw Asher there waiting for . His eyes lit up as soon as he saw and he moved as if to rush to but he stood in his spot. His eyes went hard as he saw Benedict.

Benedict looked once at him and then at , "This will be your private quarters and as per the request, Sir Asher will be your knight."

I didn’t respond and he walked away after giving the two girls so brief instructions.

One of the girls opened the door and gestured to enter. I looked at Sir Asher instead.

"Please co," I spoke and he wordlessly followed inside along with the girls.

"Please take so rest, Saintess. If you need anything please call for us."

The two bowed before they glanced once at Asher and then left the room closing the door behind them.

Asher waited for a couple of seconds before he stepped towards taking my hands, his face a mask of concern and worry.

"Miss Mirielle! Are you all right? Are you hurt anywhere?" He asked looking at up and down.

"I’m fine, Sir Asher. But you..." I looked at the scars and fading bruises on his face.

"Don’t worry about but you should never have co here!" He insisted and I looked at him calmly.

"I had to co here since the very beginning, Sir Asher. This is what was decided."
