Eric leaned ahead as soon as he heard announce that I would reinstate him in the royal palace again.

"What have you thought about the Golden Serpent? She’s still in power." Grandfather spoke up.

"I have a plan for her as well, but I’d need your help for that." I said.

"What do you want to do?"

"The official reinstation would happen during the debutante but before that we need to plan so marketing for the public support."

"What kind of marketing?" Grandfather asked.

"Prince Eric," I spoke and he straightened up.

"Yes?"

"For the following days you will have to follow the schedule that I will give you, you can take Young Duke and so friends as your aides for this task as there will be a lot to do." I instructed and he nodded.

"All right, please tell about this task." He said and I glanced at Grandfather for a mont before I turned back to Eric.

"You are already pretty popular thanks to the peace treaty but the Golden Serpent has been trying to bring your reputation down by spreading the news that Prince Carlos donates to the orphanages and is very close to the kids."

"I’ve heard of it too." Grandfather prompted, "Though it’s nothing but a publicity stunt because Prince Carlos never really visits the orphanages. It’s his attendants and maids who are there spreading a good word about him."

"We’ll change that, Prince Eric and his friends will visit these orphanages specifically those who are said to receive help from Prince Carlos and expose the lies." I instructed.

"Are you deliberately trying to provoke the Golden Serpent and Prince Carlos, Master?" Eric asked and I smirked.

"Yes, she’s the one who has always had this mask of being a benign and angelic woman who cares for the poor and weak. For a change, we’ll take that mask off her ugly face and show who’s the real compassionate person here." I spoke.

"Can you do that?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes, Master."

"Gather up your friends and make a plan on how you’ll move forward and also let know on what you decide." I said and he nodded.

I then turned to Grandfather, "Please, provide them with the list of the orphanages and such facilities which are not affiliated to Oasis."

"I’ll also supply the materials that would be needed," he said and I shook my head.

"There’s no need for that, Oasis will provide with that stuff." I said and he frowned.

"Won’t the Golden Serpent think that you’re siding with Eric then?" He asked and I chuckled.

"I won’t let her feel that way, this is just a bait."

"A bait?" Both Eric and Grandfather asked and I smirked.

"Yes, just move with the instructions, I’ll prepare for the next step." I spoke in conclusion and then looked at the two.

"Is there anything you want to ask?" I asked and the two remained silent for a mont before Grandfather asked.

"Why did you change Kai’s punishnt?"

"Well, I got him a new instructor," I said and Grandfather frowned.

"Who?" I glanced once at Eric before answering.

"Prince Davian."

"What?!" Grandfather gasped.

"Well, he’ll have to stick around for a couple of months and he is a strong individual who managed to defeat my kids of Eldarf in the spar so, I thought I’d utilize his skills and have him train Kai and others."

"You do realise that he’s an aura user, how could he train Kai and the Eldarf kids?" Grandfather asked while Eric looked back and forth between us.

"That’s precisely the reason, in future of they co across an opponent as strong as Prince Davian then they should be ready for the fight with them. I’m just making use of Prince Davian since he’s available." I shrugged.

Eric looked uncomfortable and I tried to ignore it as I rose to my feet.

"I’ll head back now, I have so other work." I said and Grandfather frowned.

"What about Kai? Does he even want to learn from him?"

I turned to look at Grandfather, "Surprisingly enough, Kai is opening up to Prince Davian and he looked quite excited at the aspect of learning from him."

Grandfather sighed, "Just try and not let him pick up the kind of attitude that Prince Davian has."

"I’ve already warned him about it."

We both didn’t want Kai to turn into the successor of the Beast of the Battlefield with the sa sort of ruthlessness and ferocity.

"Ah, I almost forgot." I said and then smiled.

"We’re going to celebrate Kai’s birthday two weeks from now. And you two are invited, sadly you can’t bring Lady Elise since Prince Davian would be there but I’m planning on inviting everyone else so, please get Uncle to solve that problem." I spoke making both the n stare at .

"You’re going to invite everyone?!" Grandfather asked and I smiled.

"It’s Kai’s birthday after all,"

Eric seed curious and also anxious.

"I’ll introduce you two when you et, Your Highness. You’ll like Kai, he’s a sweet little boy." I spoke with a smile and he smiled back hesitantly.

"I-I’ll be looking forward to eting Young Master Kai."

With that said, I teleported from Fairisles mansion to the Mage’s Tower.

Lyall was currently working as the attendant to my father under our household head butler Tobias at the Aurelius mansion so, I had to go around alone.

I landed right outside the entrance of the Mage’s Tower, and then walked inside. The Mage’s greeted on my way and I smiled back at them before I spotted Ruya.

"Mr Ocean!" She grinned as she saw and rushed to nearly tripping over her feet and dropping the stack of research papers in her hands.

"Careful now," I chuckled and she smiled sheepishly.

"How are you, Mr Ocean? It’s been a while since you dropped by." She said.

"Yes, well, I was busy these past few weeks." I said and she humd.

"I heard your town is also having festivities to celebrate the return of Prince Eric."

"Yes, why don’t you take a break and co visit?" I offered and she bead but then her smile turned dry.

"I can’t really go before I finish this work though." She said as she looked at the stack in her hands.

I picked up the top page and looked at her proposal, it was for the appliance that could be made using the magic stone. The kind of appliance that would keep the mories stored in the form of images. Kind of like a cara.

"It’s a good idea, the nobles would fall over each other to get this once it’s made." I spoke and she bead.

"You think so?"

"Yes, the portraits are beautiful but they take forever also, make sure to focus on the clarity with which the mories are saved, if the quality is bad then you would suffer losses." I explained and she nodded.

"Yes!"

I smiled and placed the paper back, "Good luck with your project. I’ll go and see Archmage now."

I patted her head twice making her cheeks go red before I moved ahead towards the elevator platform.

I got on it and it ascended towards the top floor. I got down at the top floor finding my Uncle sitting behind his desk with a gold rimd monocle as he worked on sothing.

He looked up once I entered and I walked up to him.

"Good noon, Uncle." I spoke with a smile and he humd going back to the papers in his hand.

"Are you busy? Should I co later?" I asked.

"Wait for a bit, I just have to check this proposal and then I’ll talk to you. Help yourself with so tea till that ti." He spoke gesturing towards the couch where the tray and tea set sat.

"All right," I spoke as I walked over to the couch and stopped midway at the bookshelf to grab a book and then took a seat preparing myself so tea.

I crossed my legs one over the other before I opened the book, holding it in one hand while the other held the teacup. It was quite a fragrant tea with the qualities of relaxation. I guess Silas was really busy these days because of the evaluation of the Mages. It was annual thing where the Mages would submit the report of their research. It could also be the idea for so device which they would have to put into a proposal and run it through the Archmage who would decide if the idea would be brought to reality or not.

The current magic devices that are in the market are all the result of the research that the Mages do here day and night. The credibility and their skills also add up to their experience here and helps them walk closer to the promotion. Most of the Master level Mages here had been promoted thanks to their groundbreak research which had been beneficial not only to the Tower but also to the markets and people.

That was also the reason why they get a higher pay and better facilities it’s because what they earn helps them. The Tower paid them royalties for their products and that was how things worked here. That was why, the family na or background had nothing to do when you entered the Tower, it was your intelligence, your skills and your drive to improve yourself and the society that would help you.

Silas was done with work in a couple of minutes and he walked towards the armchair and plopped down with a sigh removing his monocle and letting it fall over his shoulder. I placed the book down and faced him.

"Since when do you use a monocle, Uncle? Are you having sight problems?" I asked.

"They’re only for reading," he answered.

"Still, do you want to cure your eyesight?" I asked and he waved his hand.

"No, it’s fine. Besides, since you’re here it must be regarding the plan on how to move ahead from here, right?" He ca right to the point and I smiled.

"You make it sound as if I only co here to talk about work, Uncle." I said and he sighed.

"Just tell already, I have other thesis to read and a lot other work."

"All right, I ca to invite you for Kai’s birthday party, it’s in two weeks, also bring Aunt Alys but make sure you disguise her and also fix sothing for Lady Elise."

"Why?"

"Because Prince Davian is staying at my place for the ti being and I can’t risk him knowing about them just yet."

Silas’ jaw dropped as he heard that but before he could throw questions at I raised my hand.

"And as for the next step of my plan then I want you to do sothing."
