"Feng Tian, do you all know Feng Tian?"
Yang n was initially trying to chat with Ruan Lei and the others at the back, but none of the three boys were paying her any attention. She could only catch up with the two girls in front and just when she caught up, she heard this line and imdiately asked.
This ti, Ruan Jiaojiao turned back to look at her, "You know Feng Tian?"
Ruan Jiaojiao spoke to her directly, and Yang n unconsciously puffed out her chest, regaining that sense of superiority as a city person. She gave a light hum and nodded, "Of course I know her, we’re both from Changling."
Ruan Jiaojiao also knew that Feng Tian was from Changling; she had t her there previously.
She just didn’t expect Yang n to know her too. Suddenly, she rembered that Yang n seed to hesitate a bit when she was looking at the roster earlier, possibly because she also saw Feng Tian’s na on there?
Looking at Yang n’s proud stance, Ruan Jiaojiao had no desire to ask further. Whether they knew each other or not had nothing to do with her. So she pulled Yang Tao along, showing no interest at all.
Yang n said those words expecting Ruan Jiaojiao to continue asking her. Little did she know that after speaking, there was no interest from her to ask further. She looked at the three boys walking behind, Xiu Xi was walking behind Ruan Jiaojiao, his gaze falling on her as if she was the only one he could see. anwhile, Ruan Lei and Lu Zishu were chatting idly, clearly showing no intent to ask her either.
No one seed to care about this person from Changling.
Even though they hadn’t said anything, Yang n inexplicably felt a bit humiliated. She felt uncomfortable inside, stomped her foot, and could only continue speaking in frustration: "She used to be in the sa class as , and her grades weren’t better than mine. I transferred here due to my parents moving here, and I have no idea why she transferred."
As she said this, she subconsciously glanced at Xiu Xi and the others, waiting for them to ask how good her grades were. But clearly, they had no such intention, not even sparing her a glance. Only Ruan Jiaojiao responded with a faint "Oh."
But it was precisely this "Oh" that made Yang n’s face flush with anger. Fortunately, with the bright sun shining, others couldn’t tell.
anwhile, Yang Tao continued the previous topic: "Did sothing happen to her family? Did she ntion when she’s coming back?" Since school has started, it must be sothing serious for her to leave right at the beginning.
Ruan Jiaojiao’s heart sunk again: "She probably won’t co back for the ti being. Her brother passed away." Ruan Jiaojiao leaned closer to Yang Tao’s ear to say the last part in a low voice. It was quite noisy around, and because they were a bit far from each other, Yang n didn’t hear it. She unwillingly glanced over at them but didn’t want to lower herself to ask, so she tried her best to eavesdrop, hoping to hear what Yang Tao would say.
But for such matters, other than expressing shock and sympathy, Yang Tao had no other comnts to make. So she said nothing and discreetly patted the back of Ruan Jiaojiao’s hand to change the subject.
Yang n walked diagonally behind them, noticing how the two of them clearly excluded her. Her face grew even more unpleasant, and when they arrived at the street filled with snacks, looking at the variety of deep-fried or handmade snacks, she exclaid sharply and disdainfully, her voice piercing through almost the entire street: "I’ve never eaten in a place like this before. Is the food here even edible?"
