It was as if soone pressed the pause button, the smile on Ruan Hao’s face instantly froze.
In a corner that Ruan Jiaojiao couldn’t see, he quietly clenched his fist, then softened his expression and bent down to pick her up.
“Is Jiaojiao missing Mom?” His voice was even gentler than the spring breeze in April.
Ruan Jiaojiao nodded, feeling as if she was nodding on behalf of the consciousness that might still exist in her body.

Ruan Jiaojiao shook her head.

Ruan Jiaojiao’s little face was still buried in Ruan Hao’s neck, stealthily she opened her eyes to look backward, wanting to see if it was the quails that fell. But as she looked back, she locked eyes with a pair that seed to glow green.
The other person seed to have been watching her the whole ti, not interested in the quails at all. When she looked over, they didn’t shift their gaze away, and the stare even intensified.
Instead, Ruan Jiaojiao inexplicably felt a bit guilty and turned her little head away. But at this mont, Ruan Hao also heard the noises and turned to look, making eye contact with the little villain.
“Huh… Xiaoxi, did you catch these quails?” Ruan Hao turned around and saw several quails scattered around Xiu Xi, assuming he had caught them.
