The Black Spirit Series’ advantage is that it doesn’t require resonance pairing, and its threshold is much lower than the White Spirit Series, but the side effects are great, with potential risks of soul rejection, backlash, loss of control, and other conditions. Increasing power requires caution."
"Are there specialized practitioners of these two series in Royal City?"
"Yes, White Spirit Inheritors are mostly affiliated with the Silver Oath, and Black Inheritors with Calier’s secret forces. "Is this... the Main Priest from the Fire Trial?"
Rod pulled up the mory from the depths, as that Main Priest had presided over the Fire Trial.
"What does it an for him to be here?"
Jessica’s tone was complicated.
"Great Priest gan, many years ago, was once the strongest Fire Son. After a certain covert operation, he left his position as Fire Son, vanished from the public eye. When he reappeared, he had beco the Great Priest. He also presided over the secret laboratory under Stone City, becoming Calier’s puppet master behind the scenes."
