An aged voice suddenly sounded beside him.
Rod instantly turned around and saw Great Priest gan.
When he looked back, gan, who had been on the stairs, had vanished without a trace.
Tai Luo and Jessica bowed slightly, "Good day, Your Eminence, the Great Priest."
gan revealed an aged smile.
"Good day, the three newly-advanced Guardians. Welco to the Main Hall, you are about to join my children on the battlefield of Tasnia Star City."
Rod asked in surprise, "Your children?"
gan smiled, "Yes, my children. They are the culmination of my efforts, my soul, everything I have pursued throughout my life."
For so reason, gan’s words sent a shiver down Rod’s spine.
Tai Luo spoke solemnly, "Your Eminence, no matter what, I cannot agree with your view. Souls and lives should be respected. Humans should have their limits."
gan chuckled deeply, "Tai Luo, you are the brightest new stars of humanity, the future hope of Trolian. Everyone has their eyes on you, yet they do not realize that your power is incapable of protecting humanity, not even yourselves."
He spread his arms toward the hall.
"Take a look. These sixty First Level Combatants are the fighting force of Calier’s secret military."
This truly shocked Rod. A legion with sixty First Level Combatants, while the entirety of Trolian only had two hundred, and he had nearly a third of them.
Tai Luo’s face grew dark, at a loss for words.
Jessica also remained silent.
Only then did Rod co back to his senses, realizing that the battle around Starry Sky City had been going on for several days. All the First Level Combatants Trolian could mobilize had already been deployed. How could there still be so many left?
It must be that Royal City deed the combat power insufficient, and the king had lifted the sealing on Calier’s secret forces. That’s why there were so many First Level Combatants in the Main Hall.

gan turned and walked into the hall.
Rod hesitated for a mont, but Tai Luo and Jessica urged him with their gazes.
Rod had no choice but to follow.
"Rod, you are quite remarkable," said gan lightly, but he didn’t dwell on the subject. Instead, he asked, "Do you understand the ancestral language?"
Rod nodded slightly. In order to learn the language of the Dream Realm, he had practically researched all languages controlled by Royal City.
"Spell out the words ’Calier’ in the ancestral language."
Rod ntally calculated and then expressed in surprise, "Shadow beneath the darkness?"
gan shook his head, "No, that word cannot be interpreted that way. The repeated roots imply the opposite, aning ’shadow beneath the light of the fire.’"
Rod fell silent. He actually knew but did not want to reveal the involvent of the Divine Language and Dream Realm.
gan continued, "For a long ti, humans have suffered from insufficient combat strength. The Fire Holder system under the Rule of Fire can’t fill its void. While humans try their best to enhance it, they also seek more power systems."
"After countless failures, they turned their gaze towards monsters."
Rod was taken aback, "Are you referring to the Silver Oath and Taboo Armant?"
gan shook his head, "The restrictions of the Silver Oath are too great. Direct control over monsters is impossible. They are the product of disorder, chaos, and high entropy. The most powerful monster they’ve modified is only at the Strong Level, which is too limited in use and has too many side effects. The only useful thing is the Taboo ones, but they are just a drop in the bucket. I gave up on this direction long ago."
Rod said in surprise, "The Silver Oath is also related to you?"
