Luo Yan smiled slightly and said in a gentle tone.
"A thousand years ago, they were indeed enemies, but it's a thousand years later now; the Demon Gods in Hell have changed three tis, and they no longer hate each other."
Carian blinked in confusion.
"But if that's the case, why does the Empire still go to war with Hell?"
"That's because they both need an enemy."
Seeing Carian still perplexed, Luo Yan continued patiently.
"The desire of peasants for land is endless, like that of rchants for money, or herdsn for pasture... but those nobles who truly hold power are different. They lack neither land nor money, nor cattle and sheep."
Carian wondered.
"What do they need then?"
"Dominance, or you could say power. But they already have it, it's less what they need and more what they don't want to lose."
Luo Yan paused for a mont and continued.
"As for land, money, honor, even Extraordinary Power, and faith itself... they're all just tools to achieve a goal, not the ultimate purpose."
Even the Divine is.
Looking at the clear yet naive eyes of this village girl, Luo Yan smiled slightly and ended the topic.
"Did we digress?"
Carian gently shook her head, a hint of subtle admiration reflecting on her devout face.
Or rather, longing.
"No, Mr. Colin... I really enjoy listening to you talk about these things. It's just that every ti after hearing your teachings, I always get confused, if things are really as you say, wouldn't that an the Holy Word Book in my hands isn't that... radiant."

Luo Yan smiled gently and offered an encouraging word.

Carian raised her head in confusion.
"Now? But... they're following , and I don't even know where I'm going."
"That's not sothing you should worry about, you just need to walk your own path, like the lamp in the carriage... it only needs to emit its own light and doesn't have to take the traveler's remaining journey."
Looking at those eyes imrsed in mist, Luo Yan, with a gentle voice, soothed her heart's confusion.
"Since you've decided to beco a nun, just do what a nun should do. A luminous soul will eventually find its way. You just need to ignite those who have fallen into despair."
In an instant, those eyes, veiled by mist, seed like re-ignited torches, dispelling all bewildernt.
"I see..."
Carian whispered softly, a smile blossoming on her simple face as if the rain had cleared, and the smile seed to glow.
She bowed deeply, then sheepishly scratched her cheek and said apologetically.
"Thank you... although I still have many confusions in my heart, after chatting with you, I feel much better."
"You're welco," Luo Yan nodded with a smile, looking at this simple girl who blushes easily, closing the Holy Word Book in his hands and said, "It's late, go to sleep now."
"Okay."
Sister nodded, her cheeks as red as lanterns, holding the book Mr. Colin gave her tightly in her arms, jumped off the carriage, and hurriedly left.
Just as Carian left, Sarah's figure quietly appeared in the carriage.
Since the carriage was not spacious, and to avoid affecting Lord Demon King's inscrutable plan, she had quietly left when Carian was here earlier.
Of course, during the ti away from Lord Demon King, she wasn't entirely idling about.
Besides standing guard to prevent unrelated people from approaching, she wandered around the camp collecting intelligence.

Luo Yan smiled gently.
"No need for formalities, please sit."
