Luo Yan glanced at him unexpectedly.
"Just like Twilight City? Exiled?"
The mouse clicked his tongue.
"Ha! It was Avallo who got exiled, not !"
"Arrogance?"
"That's right, this area used to belong to that guy, but he was careless and ssed up, so I took over."
"Lost? Lost to whom?"
"To a materialist who had never seen Him, yet completely defeated Him. The latter didn't even realize His existence but thwarted His plans ti and ti again... the sight of Him looking so defeated was truly delightful."
Urgos' voice seed to carry a hint of schadenfreude.
But He quickly grew bored of the topic, and a cunning gleam flickered in His beady eyes.
"Since you're here, I'll show you sothing interesting."
"What's interesting?"
"Follow and you'll find out!"
Watching the mouse sprint toward the distant city, Luo Yan pondered briefly but ultimately decided to follow.
After all, it couldn't hurt.
He was curious about what trick this guy was up to.
Urgos led the way ahead, while Luo Yan flew behind, examining the bustling settlent and comparing it to its surroundings.
The situation inside the city was slightly better than outside; those living here were likely the "Desirers," lining up for bread. Though they were painfully hungry, it wasn't to the point of starvation.
Luo Yan was unfamiliar with the situation here, but referencing Ryan Kingdom's Twilight Province, it seed to be operating under a similar serfdom.
That is, the peasants were forbidden from leaving their land, being personal property of the dominator. anwhile, citizens of Twilight City lived on the King's land and could trade taxes for relative freedom, protected to so extent by the King's laws.
However, they weren't entirely similar.
There were many formal differences.
A mouse and a butterfly traversed the bustling settlent without anyone noticing the Gods passing by.
Several tis, Urgos was almost caught by the hungry, but the sly creature evaded each ti.
Seeing the people's desperate expressions, the sleazy little mouse seed genuinely pleased.
What a twisted fellow.
Following Him, Luo Yan arrived beside a palace-like starship, and next to the starship sat an even more luxurious palace.
Urgos led him through the back door, bypassing the heavily guarded watches, and entered the most luxurious room.
An aging King lay on the bed, the table beside him laden with delicacies, yet his withered arms could no longer lift the utensils.
Having possessed everything, he seed to have lost interest in everything.
Until a servant leaned beside him, whispered a few words in his ear, and his wrinkled face lit up with excitent.
"Master... Sava has breathed his last!"
Upon hearing that his lifelong rival had died, the King showed a pathologically flushed face as he propped himself up from the bed.
"Hahaha! Serves him right for dying! Finally, that traitor is dead! Issue my order, fire the salute... mourn him!"
The servant dared not speak more, and retreated timidly, worrying about how to embellish the tale.
The room returned to silence.
Looking at the vacant room, the elderly King suddenly felt a bit lonely, reminiscing about his ambitious days at Golden Gallon Port.
He had personally told Sava that the finest trade was religion, and had rarely shared many truths with the child.
At that ti, he had no heirs of his own and truly regarded the boy as a crown prince, never anticipating the decades of "love and rivalry" to follow.
The air was terrifyingly quiet.
He seed to return to that stormy night, anxiously awaiting the outco of the plot, always feeling under the gaze of unseen eyes.
He wanted to peek under the bed.
However, age had made him too stiff to bend, without assistance he could barely take a step out of bed.
"You brought here just to show a dying old man?" Luo Yan looked speechlessly at the eagerly excited mouse on the windowsill.
Urgos chuckled.
"Of course not, guess where he'll go next?"
"Your Chosen One is bound for your Nest City, isn't it obvious?"
"That's true, but too vague. Fine... I'll give you another hint! You've already t him!"
Watching the expectant yet boastful little mouse, Luo Yan pondered for a mont before responding uncertainly.
"Selas?"
Urgos' face showed a hint of surprise, perhaps not expecting such a quick guess, then approvingly raised a mouse claw.
"Smart!"
Now it was Luo Yan's turn to be surprised.
Wait—
Isn't that guy not dead yet?
How could—
Just as this confusion arose in Luo Yan's mind, he suddenly recalled the words he had said to Urgos earlier.
"Ti doesn't exist... You don't truly understand this statent, do you? Pretentious little devil." Urgos smiled slyly, seemingly pleased with regaining a point.
Yet Luo Yan only felt the vulgar creature's antics were incredibly tedious, having gone in circles just to prove He hadn't lost.
