"Shut up! Do you want to lose your lives?"

So demons were anxious, so demons had a glint of anticipation in their eyes, but most demons had a look of apathy, especially those battle-hardened veterans—compared to the naive recruits who believed hell was invincible, they were well aware that they were rely cannon fodder. Whether it was the Truth Departnt or the Demon King who spoke for them from the rear, neither could truly resolve anything.

Otherwise, why are they only coming now?

Nevertheless, the arrival of the Truth Departnt's investigation team was like a cold spring rain, bringing a rare coolness to the scorching camp, allowing the demons who were eking out a living to finally catch their breath.

The Abyss Knights rode to the center of the camp and slowly halted; then a demon draped in a red robe stepped down from the carriage in the middle of the procession.

His na was Sirron, the Judger of the Temple for the Truth Departnt, who at that mont was coldly gazing down at the frontline camp as if he were a statue devoid of expression.

Right behind him, the senior scribe, Morria, followed, carrying a hefty dossier and flipping open a page as his chilly gaze scanned the camp.

"Let's get to the point." He adjusted the gold-rimd monocle on his nose, his tone indifferent yet efficient, tinged with a tiny hint of unhurried grace. "We are here to investigate the matters related to the Seldo Port battle. The Truth Departnt requires all officers, tactical commanders, logistical personnel, and soldiers who've experienced the battle to cooperate with the investigation. Anyone who dares interfere with our work will be treated as a traitor and dealt with accordingly."

A tense atmosphere spread throughout the camp.

The Truth Departnt has zero tolerance for traitors, with the maximum punishnt being Soul Shattering!

The multitude of demons swallowed nervously, their fingers tingling with anxiety. Yet, so demons had a spark of excitent in their eyes, subconsciously clenching their fists, seeing a glimr of hope.

This ti might be different—

Perhaps they truly could uncover the truth!

Morria cast a glance at Sirron beside him, nodding respectfully.

"Lord Sirron, would you mind saying a few words?"

"I have nothing to say," Sirron remarked as he surveyed the uneasy soldiers and officers, glancing at the pocket watch in his hand, and spoke with ticulous precision. "There will be a eting in the command tent in fifteen minutes. All officers at the rank of Centurion or higher must attend."

No demon reacted.

Sirron furrowed his brow slightly.

Just then, General Sebes' deputy officer, Balrog, suddenly stepped forward, took a deep breath, and said.

"Understood."

Seeing this Fla Demon officer, Sirron finally nodded in satisfaction.

"Pass the order down."

...

The camp of the Red Fla Legion was stirred up.

As the order was issued, officers of Centurion rank and above gathered in the command tent, sitting upright, waiting for the Truth Departnt's officials to deliver their address.

This included General Sebes himself.

This imposing Horror Demon sat in the command tent, overshadowing even Sirron's presence, as if it wasn't the latter who was conducting the investigation, but the forr listening to a work report from him.

The attendant from the Truth Departnt frowned slightly but did not act upon it.

Judger Sirron also said nothing, rely following official procedures and then shaking hands with General Sebes, courteously escorting him to the tent entrance, thanking him for his cooperation with the Truth Departnt's work.

Observing his superior's actions, Morria was sowhat uncertain.

He initially thought Sirron would give the Red Fla Legion officers a stern warning, but unexpectedly, his superior did not do so.

How were they supposed to proceed with their work later?

Noticing the confusion in Morria's eyes, Sirron smiled faintly and, in an offhanded tone, said.

"Mr. Morria, what do you think of General Sebes?"

"This guy has big issues." Morria replied without hesitation. "The demons I previously investigated were all scared stiff when they saw us, yet he acts unwaveringly confident."

It was precisely this confidence that affected those originally upright and nervous Centurions and Chiliarchs. Their gazes gradually shifted from fear to a calm composure.

Sirron seed unsurprised by his words, continuing with a faint smile.

"And why do you think that is?"

Morria chuckled.

"Isn't it obvious? This guy must have backing!"

Sirron looked at him with deep significance.

"And do you think it's aningful to move against him?"

Morria froze.

What does this an?

The Truth Departnt is backed by the Demon God!

No matter how strong General Sebes' backing is, can it surpass theirs?!

However, Sirron's eyes told him that things were not as simple as he thought.

After pondering for a long ti, Morria struggled to utter a sentence.

"So...why are we here?"

"Whether we can uncover anything is unimportant," Sirron continued calmly, narrowing his eyes slightly as he gazed at the camp before them. "It's important that we are here."

If the rumors were allowed to further fernt, coupled with the dread seeping through the camp, they might attract an existence more terrifying than death—the forces from Chaos.

The Demon King of Thunder County played a risky move.

Whether he anticipated this or not, the Truth Departnt was indeed manipulated by him, compelled to intervene in this muddy situation.

However—

So what if they are being used?

Mutual exploitation is an entirely normal matter.
