Little Taotie wouldn’t give up so easily. Once a child’s curiosity is piqued, they won’t stop until they find out the truth.
The little head kept peeking around, trying to see exactly what made the chubby waiter gasp.
The chubby waiter couldn’t resist the little girl, but was worried that if he moved his hand, it would frighten her.
It seed that the custors outside were getting impatient, shouting, "Where’s the Peacock Display dish? Why hasn’t it been served yet?"
"Hurry up with the dishes, we’re almost done eating and they’re still not all here!"
"Yeah, hurry up with the food!"
Hearing the urging voices from outside, Little Taotie’s small brows furrowed, "Brother, if you won’t let see and won’t serve the dish, what exactly are you going to do?"
The chubby waiter mumbled an explanation, "...The dish can’t be served, it’s not clean."
Little Taotie was puzzled, "Not clean?"
The chubby waiter said helplessly, "Anyway, it can’t go on the table! Little boss, the custors are getting impatient, can you go talk to them and see if they can cancel this dish?"
Little Taotie heard more complaints and urging from outside, realizing that the custors were indeed getting impatient. She nodded and walked towards the outside, no longer pursuing why the dish was unclean.
"Dear custors, that dish is dirty and can’t be served. It will take a long ti to make another one for you. I see that you’re almost done with the dishes on your table, can I remove this dish for you? Today we’ll offer a discount, an additional 20% off on top of the original discount."
Since they were regulars, the custors agreed when they heard about the discount.
After most of the custors had left and the rush was over, Little Taotie called the chubby waiter to continue questioning.
"Brother, hurry up and tell , what happened with that dish today?"
"There was sothing dirty."
"Sothing dirty?"
Seeing that Little Taotie wouldn’t give up without knowing the whole story, and considering her current status as the little boss, who should be able to investigate this matter, the chubby waiter hesitated for a mont and then said, "It was a bug."
"A bug!" Little Taotie exclaid.
Her round eyes were filled with disbelief.
Finding a bug in the dish is quite disgusting, and for a restaurant to have such an incident ans closure isn’t far off.
"Did the bug crawl in on its own?"
If the bug crawled in on its own, then kitchen hygiene definitely needs improvent.
If soone deliberately put it in, then...
Little Taotie squinted her eyes, resembling the way Qin Xin often squinted his eyes.
Like father, like daughter. Over ti, Little Taotie began to unconsciously resemble her three brothers...
The chubby waiter hesitated for a mont but finally shared his suspicion, "I think soone deliberately put it in, and I also have a suspect."
"Suspect? Who?"
The chubby waiter lowered his voice, "Chef Wu."
Little Taotie recalled Chef Wu, who always acted as a peacemaker and wore a kind smile. She couldn’t believe the person who seed the gentlest and kindest would do such a thing!
"I have my reasons to suspect him. He was the one who handed the dish. When I noticed sothing was wrong, I refused to serve it, but he insisted there was no problem. Later, when I called soone to check, he still repeatedly said it was fine and urged to serve it quickly. Normally, he’s a very careful person. If I claim there’s a problem, he certainly wouldn’t let serve the dish so recklessly!"
Hearing this, Little Taotie furrowed her small brows, "In that case, he does seem suspicious!"
