Little Taotie didn’t just believe because he said it; she insisted on seeing the bug with her own eyes, otherwise it was hard to believe.
The fat waiter was really at a loss and had to bring the dish over for her to see.
The maggot was still crawling on the gourd, as if it had eaten its fill but was unwilling to leave the food, choosing instead to perch on it and eat whenever it got hungry.
When Little Taotie saw the maggot that was longer than a grain of rice, white and wriggling, her eyes widened in disbelief.

The restaurant was closed, all of them were unemployed, so why sabotage it?
Little Taotie asked the fat waiter to bring Chef Wu.
She chose the new break room as the place for questioning. The other employees were still busy outside, and no one would co here, making it a perfect interrogation room.

Mainly because the person who ca to get him was the fat waiter, plus he already knew that the dish had been taken back by the custors.
The dish was ultimately not served.

Chef Wu’s eyes fell on the closed door.

Before going in, Chef Wu gently knocked on the door.

Little Taotie’s voice was soft and sweet, devoid of any threat.

The little girl wasn’t afraid of the maggot; she just thought it was a bit disgusting.
The white maggot, like a long grain of rice, wasn’t inherently scary or disgusting, but Little Taotie had attended a natural science class a few days ago where the teacher used a microscope to show plankton to the children.
The microscope was a fun tool for elentary students, like a kaleidoscope, allowing endless experints. Besides what the teacher had them look at, they attempted to magnify various things around them to see what they looked like enlarged.
Among them were naughty boys who casually caught little bugs, and under the microscope, the bug’s surface showed many bacteria.
So, this was a bug that didn’t look scary, but was covered with bacteria.
Now, looking at this maggot, Little Taotie didn’t just see its appearance, she seed to transform into a microscope, magnifying it many tis over to see the bacteria all over it.
Following Little Taotie’s gaze, Chef Wu saw the maggot lying on the gourd, his heart skipped a beat!
It had indeed been discovered, no wonder the dish was brought out from the kitchen but was never served to the custors!
He sowhat blad the fat waiter; it was already taken out, why not go faster, why check if the dish had problems!
