Zhao Guo'an and Zhen Jinghan went to bid farewell to Du Yunping. Zhongli ng glanced at Xiao Feng leisurely drinking tea in the pavilion and said to Zhongli Chenpu, "Grandpa, shall I go express my gratitude to Mr. Xiao?"

"That's appropriate." Zhongli Chenpu nodded, "I'll go with you."

Upon hearing this, Zhongli ng's eyes revealed a trace of reluctance, but she still nodded.

Of course, this reluctance wasn't because she didn't want her grandfather to thank Xiao Feng personally.

"Mr. Xiao, I'm grateful to you!" Zhongli Chenpu approached, cupped his hands, and bent over to salute.

Xiao Feng quickly stood up and supported him, "No need to be so formal, sir. This was a small effort for . Besides, I wholeheartedly admire your dedication to protect the nation in your youth."

"It was the call of the tis," Zhongli Chenpu sighed, "Even if I weren't there, many others would have stood up.

In tis of danger, our nation inspires people to be at the forefront, striking fear into those who dare to invade!"

These words were powerful, and the sudden flash of resolve in his eyes was truly intimidating!

Zhongli ng said, "Grandpa, should I take you to rest?"

"No need, I can walk myself. You young folks have more in common, this old man won't be a nuisance," Zhongli Chenpu laughed heartily and walked out with a cane.

Zhongli ng's face flushed slightly, as she felt her grandfather's words seed to imply sothing.

As she speculated, she sneaked a glance at Xiao Feng, only to find his expression unchanged, as if he hadn't picked up on the underlying ssage at all.

...

anwhile, the little girl tired from practicing in the villa courtyard ran to Lu Yao, showing a flattering smile and said, "Lu Yao sis."

Seeing the little girl's expression, Lu Yao imdiately looked wary, "What do you want?"

"How about accompanying for a stroll?" The little girl gently persuaded, "Staying in the courtyard all day is so boring!"

"I just took you to see Xuanxuan, didn't I?" Lu Yao glanced at the computer screen's bottom right corner ti and said, "It's been less than half an hour."

The little girl pointed at the Martial Monks busy building a pool near the wall and complained, "With all their racket, you probably don't have the peace to write code either, right?

Besides, we could familiarize ourselves with the villa area and let Little Fragrant Pearl out for so fresh air. There's nothing wrong with that."

At the ntion of Little Fragrant Pearl, Lu Yao glanced at the lethargic chick in the cage at the corner, with its head hanging low, appearing sluggish, and she agreed, "Alright, let's go out."

The little girl cheered imdiately, ran excitedly to the corner, opened the cage door, and pulled out the rope, taking out the chick.

However, just as the little girl was about to close the cage door, she suddenly felt a strong pull, almost causing her to fall to the ground.

"Coo coo coo coo!"

The chick cried while struggling violently, trying to break free from the girl's hold on the rope.

"Bang!"

The girl forcefully shut the cage door angrily, "I kindly let you out to get so fresh air, and you try to escape, almost causing to fall!"

"Coo coo coo! Coo coo coo! Coo coo coo!"

The chick showed no sign of calming down, recklessly charging forward, making one worry about it being strangled by the rope around its neck at any mont.

"Hey! Will I not be able to handle you?" The little girl shouted sternly, "Make one more sound and I'll roast you right now!"

Perhaps from exhaustion, or maybe it actually understood the girl's words, the chick surprisingly cald down, lowered its head, looking resigned.

"Lu Yao sis, let's go." The little girl called out to Lu Yao, regardless of the chick's mood, pulling the rope to leave.

"Coo!"

The unprepared chick was pulled to the ground, fluttering several tis before managing to get back up.

Lu Yao shook her head, thinking that if Hua Ling saw this scene, they'd probably get into a big fight.

Walking on the asphalt road, the girl scolded the chick, "Hurry up, have you had no food or what?"

"It really hasn't eaten," Lu Yao said, amused, "Since we returned, it seems no one has fed it anything."

The girl nodded in understanding, "No worries, with so many flowers and grass by the roadside, there must be bugs and such, let it catch on its own."

"..." Lu Yao.

She wanted to tell the girl it's winter now; there probably aren't any bugs.

And even if there were, how can it catch them while you're holding the rope?

Not long after, a middle-aged woman approached from the front, dressed in sportswear, jogging while calling behind to a Samoyed dog, "Cindy hurry up, you're still slower than ."

If Zhao Guo'an were present, he'd recognize this woman, living behind his villa, with a husband who's often abroad.

The girl and Lu Yao frowned at the un-leashed Samoyed, thinking people still walk dogs without leashes?

But at that mont, the Samoyed suddenly sped up, barking wildly, darting straight towards the girl.

The girl's eyes narrowed, instinctively reaching for her waist, but couldn't grab anything.

The previous whip had retired honorably, and Flower Vine, because of its thorns, wasn't carried around.

Still, the girl wasn't overly panicked.

Compared to giant cave spiders, the ferocious Samoyed seed really minor.

As the girl was ready to fend off the Samoyed with a move, the chick behind her suddenly darted out like lightning.

"Bang!"

The chick collided with the Samoyed, flying backward, slowing the Samoyed's rush.

"Cindy!" The woman ran to the Samoyed that had toppled to the ground, as if she just reacted.

"Hey!" The girl shouted angrily, "Shouldn't you first ask if I'm alright?"

The woman paused, examined the girl up and down, and said irritatedly, "Ask you why? My dog didn't touch you."

The girl imdiately got angry, "True, it didn't touch , but such a big dog rushing towards you, even if it didn't, would you not be scared?

Also, your dog hit my Little Fragrant Pearl, you, as its owner, shouldn't you check if it's hurt first?"

"Little Fragrant Pig?" The woman looked around, "Where's the little fragrant pig?"

"It's here!"

The girl pointed to the chick behind her, shaking its head and feathers.

"Isn't this a wild chicken?" The woman's facial muscles twitched with a look suggesting, "Are you kidding ?"

The girl retorted righteously, "Little, as in small; Fragrant, combining the characters for grain and sun; Pearl, like Wang Zhuzhu."

"What Wang Zhuzhu?" The woman felt completely bewildered, suspecting this might be a ntal case.

After all, no normal person walks a wild chicken as a pet, let alone pointing to it saying it's a pig.
