Now reading: Chapter 752: Encountering Another Pickpocket from The Magnificent Son-in-law, a Action novel by Rain sounds during the hours of midnight.

Upon hearing this, the plainclothes officers pretty much understood.

The point Wang Lubo wanted to make was actually quite simple: could a group of successful people really team up to steal wallets?

Even if the wallets were filled with gold, they probably wouldn't be tempted, right?

At this mont, the nearby plainclothes officers arriving to support ca over.

There were three in total, and one of them, upon seeing Xiao Feng, imdiately showed a look of surprise: "Brother Feng!"

Xiao Feng followed the voice and looked over, seeing a man who seed to be in his thirties, looking quite ordinary.

This is also a basic requirent for plainclothes policen; if soone stands out too much, they're not suited for this type of work.

But... isn't it inappropriate for soone your age to call brother?

"Brother, don't be so formal, no need to call Brother Feng, just call Little Feng." Xiao Feng responded with an awkward but polite smile.

The plainclothes officer scratched his head: "I'm just used to calling you that. But hey, why are you here?"

Xiao Feng didn't hide anything and briefly explained the situation, then handed over the wallet.

The officer who recognized him took the wallet and gathered his colleagues, whispering: "During the previous arrest of over fifty fugitives, he handled over twenty himself."

"He's Xiao Feng?" soone exclaid: "So young!"

Yet no matter what was said, if anyone claid Xiao Feng was the one who stole the wallet, the officers wouldn't believe it at all.

Just then, soone in the crowd shouted loudly: "The thief is trying to escape!"

The officers turned around and indeed saw that the young man who had been making a fuss earlier was now quietly withdrawing far away.

"Officers, please let explain..." The young man wore an expression of despair.

Obviously, no one listened to his explanation, as two plainclothes officers quickly walked over and easily apprehended him.

Soone in the crowd began to clap, and soon more applause followed.

However, Xiao Feng and the rest didn't seem happy about it, since just two minutes ago, many people were accusing them of being the wallet thieves.

The sudden change in stance only made people seem foolish, lacking independent thinking and judgnt skills.

"It's almost ti, let's go in now." The little girl raised her wristwatch, which showed 6:50.

The concert was set to start at seven, and most people were already lining up to enter.

Everyone nodded in agreent, moving side by side towards the VIP entrance next to the regular pathway.

However, just as they were about to pass through the ticket check, a woman's voice called from behind: "Wait a minute!"

Hearing this, Xiao Feng and the others turned to see a woman who looked like a university student.

She was supporting her knees with her hands, her bangs sticking to her forehead, breathing heavily.

"She should be the one who lost her wallet." Lu Yao remarked, her gaze fixed on the cartoon wallet tightly held in the woman's hand.

About half a minute later, the woman caught her breath and walked quickly to Xiao Feng and company, bowing repeatedly: "Thank you, thank you for helping recover my wallet."

As she spoke, she unzipped the wallet and pulled out a few hundred bucks, her expression showing so embarrassnt, as if she felt it was not enough.

After all, it was clear Xiao Feng and the others were going through the VIP passage, and anyone able to use the VIP entrance wouldn't care about a few hundred bucks.

"Sister, do you want to give us sothing to thank us?" The little girl joked: "If that's the case, then why not give us the sparkling headband you're wearing."

"No problem." The woman agreed without hesitation, while taking off the pair of glowing rabbit ears from her head and handing them to the little girl.

"Thank you, sister!" The little girl thanked her politely.

The woman smiled awkwardly: "I should be thanking you instead, won't disturb you anymore, I'm off to queue as well."

With that said, the woman waved goodbye and bowed deeply again, expressing her gratitude.

The little girl put the rabbit ears on her head, stretched her arms out, spun in a circle, and eagerly asked: "Do they look good? Do they look good?"

Xiao Feng nodded with a smile: "Very cute!"

Of course, he knew the little girl didn't really want the woman's headband.

She just didn't want the woman to feel awkward, giving her a convenient excuse.

Though young, the little girl often understood how to take care of others' feelings, which was part of why she was so likable.

"Do you need glow sticks?" A girl with a long ponytail walked over, her features delicate, she had an open case hanging in front of her, sowhat like an old-ti cigarette vendor.

She looked to be in her twenties, dressed in what seed to be a school uniform, her smile bright and welcoming, giving people a hard-to-refuse feeling.

"Brother Feng, should we buy so?" Wang Lubo nudged Xiao Feng's arm.

Before Xiao Feng could respond, the girl smiled: "If you buy more, I can offer a fifty percent discount."

"Sounds good, sounds good." Wang Lubo happily said.

Xiao Feng frowned slightly, sensing sothing was off.

There were only eight of them, even buying two each would only total sixteen, hardly a large purchase.

Furthermore, the regular entrance had a long queue, clearly with better sales chances than here.

Choosing the area with less business over where it's thriving seed illogical.

Could this be similar to parking a car by a university gate and putting a bottle of water on the roof, part of so kind of trick?

Perhaps having lost dozens of pounds, Wang Lubo regained his confidence in manhood.

This guy actually chatted with the girl selling glow sticks, and during the conversation, he even whipped out a small comb from his pocket to tidy his hair, looking utterly flamboyant.

Xiao Feng couldn't bear to watch any longer and exclaid in surprise: "Hey! Miao Yueqian?"

Wang Lubo reflexively startled, his hand shook, bumping into the box of glow sticks in front of the girl.

"Bang!"

A muffled sound, glow sticks scattered everywhere.

"Ow... Sorry, sorry, I'll buy these all." Wang Lubo winced, shaking his hand painfully.

The girl crouched down, picking up the glow sticks, while saying they were unnecessary.

Wang Lubo helped her gather the glow sticks, taking the opportunity to touch her hand a few tis, secretly noting how smooth it was.

After picking them all up, he looked at Xiao Feng with a resentful gaze: "Brother Feng, it's not right for you to set up your buddy like this."

"Did I set you up?" Xiao Feng asked, baffled: "I just mistook her for soone else, how could I know you'd react so much."

Just then, the little girl murmured in confusion: "Huh? Where's the girl selling glow sticks?"

Xiao Feng's heart skipped a beat, scanning the area quickly, indeed finding that as the little girl said, the glow sticks seller was nowhere to be seen.

Thinking it over with a frown, Xiao Feng reminded Wang Lubo: "Check if anything's missing."

"She was so pretty, can't be a pickpocket, right?" Wang Lubo was full of disbelief.

But seeing Xiao Feng didn't seem to be joking, he reluctantly started checking himself, then widened his eyes: "Brother Feng, my comb's gone."

"..." Xiao Feng.
