Now reading: Chapter 911: Tie Yidao from The Magnificent Son-in-law, a Action novel by Rain sounds during the hours of midnight.

Tie Yanmin pulled this move off quite well.

Because preconceived notions are a common problem for most people, once Lao Lu explains the situation in advance, everyone will suspect that Tie Yanmin is involved.

After all, Xiao Wu and the others usually follow his lead and rarely leave the village alone.

Now that such a thing has happened, it's hard not to suspect that the people robbing with sacks are part of Tie Yanmin's gang.

But by stepping forward first to speak, things beco different; unless Xiao Feng and others provide solid evidence, it's hard to reverse the situation.

"You're saying we killed the person, right?" Xiao Feng calmly said, "Alright, then tell us why we would kill soone."

The surrounding villagers imdiately fell silent.

Indeed!

There needs to be a reason for murder; how could one kill without any cause?

Thus, everyone's eyes once again turned to Tie Yanmin, waiting for his explanation.

"This... this..." Tie Yanmin broke out in a cold sweat again; stepping forward to speak earlier was a spur-of-the-mont clever move.

Such quick wit is rare, and now he could only rely on himself.

Xiao Feng stepped forward with a smile and said, "Didn't all seven of you see it with your own eyes?

Why not answer separately and then see if your answers match up when put together."

The villagers around started murmuring; the young man's pace of speech wasn't fast at all, and he didn't seem nervous in the slightest. In contrast, Tie Yanmin and the other seven looked unnatural and frequently wiped their sweat.

There must be sothing fishy!

The village chief, Tie Nongbao, was equally anxious.

He rushed to his son's side in two strides, scolding, "If you didn't see, then say you didn't see! Making false statents carries legal responsibility!"

"Dad, I..." Tie Yanmin opened his mouth several tis but couldn't co up with anything coherent.

Instead, the young man beside him brightened up and said, "Uncle, we went to the mountains to play this afternoon. Xiao Wu said he needed to relieve himself and asked us to wait for him.

But after waiting for quite so ti, Xiao Wu didn't return, so we decided to look for him.

But at that mont, we suddenly heard Xiao Wu's scream. Following the sound, we saw Uncle Jin and those two outsiders whispering together.

We were terrified and ran back imdiately, even falling several tis on the way."

After hearing this, the smile on Xiao Feng's lips couldn't help but grow stronger; this one was obviously more ticulous than the village chief's son.

Not only did he pass the problem back to them, but he also found a suitable reason for the injuries on them.

"If I asked you why, upon returning, you didn't imdiately inform the deceased's parents or relatives, would you also answer that it was out of fear?" Xiao Feng asked with a grin.

Tie Yanmin imdiately perked up and defiantly said, "What's wrong with being scared? Who wouldn't be afraid when witnessing a murder?

Isn't being scared a normal reaction?

You should know, what you killed is a person; it's not chickens, ducks, geese, or dogs, it's a human!"

The villagers nodded repeatedly, expressing understanding, and their eyes were now filled with suspicion when looking at Sun Shijie and Lao Lu.

Xiao Feng wasn't quite sure if Tie Yanmin had studied psychology or sothing similar.

However, repeatedly emphasizing that it was their group who did the killing was quite effective.

Knowing that continuing the argunt was aningless, Xiao Feng began to say, "How about this..."

However, just as he spoke three words, urgent footsteps ca from behind the crowd.

Soon, the crowd parted, revealing a man with a broad face, holding an axe-like Bone-Cutting Knife.

Following closely behind him was a young man over two ters tall, like a small mountain.

Both had red eyes and, upon entering, imdiately shouted, "Who killed my son?"

Tie Yanmin and his seven companions all simultaneously pointed fingers, moving between Xiao Feng, Lao Lu, and Sun Shijie: "It was Uncle Jin and those two outsiders!"

"Lao Lu, I'm gonna kill you!" The middle-aged man, without another word, charged at Lao Lu with the knife raised high. The people around cried out in surprise and backed away; no one dared to step forward to stop him.

The one holding the Bone-Cutting Knife was Xiao Wu's father, called Tie Yidao, the village butcher, known for his explosive temper.

Once his temper flared, he was said to recognize neither kin nor foe—even if his own parents tried to stop him, they'd get beaten all the sa!

Now that he was swinging a knife, of course, no one dared step forward to risk that wrath.

Lao Lu was almost paralyzed with fear, clutching Sun Shijie's arm, his knees going weak, unable to utter a word of defense.

Even if he could speak, Tie Yidao wouldn't likely listen.

Sun Shijie looked calm and turned his gaze to Xiao Feng.

Not for help, but to see if Xiao Feng planned to intervene.

If not, he would have to step in; he couldn't just watch Lao Lu get hacked to death.

Xiao Feng stepped toward Tie Yidao, chopping at his wrist. Tie Yidao scread in pain, the Bone-Cutting Knife falling to the ground with a clang.

"You dare hit my dad!"

The over two-ter-tall youth glared, charging straight at Xiao Feng.

His skin was a very dark shade—one couldn't even call it wheat-colored anymore, it was more like a coffee color—and his features, while standard, looked particularly nacing at the mont!

Xiao Feng pushed off with a foot, also charging toward him.

"Bang!"

After a dull thud, Xiao Feng was directly sent flying over five ters, his shoulder feeling as if it were being torn apart with pain.

As for the youth, he rely staggered back two steps, his face showing no sign of pain.

Xiao Feng's eyes lit up; he ignored the pain, looking at the youth as though he had discovered a treasure.

Such strength!

Such physical quality!

This...

Let's deal with him first.

Xiao Feng flipped back to his feet, his expression returning to calm.

Purely comparing strength, he admitted he couldn't compete with the other.

But combat is not just about who has greater strength; it's only part of the advantage.

Unless one can overpower the opponent with a single punch, most tis, it's not the key to winning or losing.

As the youth charged at him again, Xiao Feng focused, discarding distractions. When the youth got close, he quickly grabbed the fist headed his way, shifted his body with a pull and a tug, first dissipating the impact.

This series of actions was extraordinarily smooth and so fast it was dazzling.

By the ti the youth reacted, he had already been thrown by Xiao Feng with a shoulder throw.

"Bang!"

The youth hit the ground, gasping sharply, a touch of pain finally crossing his face.

But such damage ant little to him. Scrambling to his feet, he charged at Xiao Feng once again.

"Hold on!" Xiao Feng reached out to stop him, saying, "To determine the truth of sothing, you can't just listen to one side; even if you want to fight, you should give us the chance to speak, right?"

However, the youth seed to have perfectly inherited his father's, Tie Yidao's, temperant, ignoring any persuasion and fixating on Xiao Feng, insisting on a fight!

Xiao Feng frowned; while this guy had a strong physique, his brain was a bit dim.
