Monts before Winter consud him, Rui activated the single most powerful technique in his Martial Art.
A forbidden technique.
One that crossed the canyon between Realms.
"Sun."
He activated Muspelheim, using the Yin-Yang Spear to supercharge the domain past a critical threshold. He couldn't use Hypertrophic Surge while he was using Gigabrain, thus he compensated for the lack of raw power with the shockwaves of Sage Himari's movents that he absorbed through Sonic Transparence and channeled into the domain with Flux Earther.
And thus, the Dawnbringer summoned the Sun.
He summoned the Sun to descend upon the world as a devastatingly powerful inferno erged from him just a mont before Winter consud him. BOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!!
Sage Himari widened her eyes with shock as she felt a spark of materia prima erging from the enormous fireball that erupted from the Dawnbringer. The sheer heat of the fireball was so enormous that it halted the approach of Winter.
WHOOOOOOSSSSHHH!!!
The vaporizing heat of the Sun warred against the cold, just barely managing to protect Rui from Sage Himari's technique.
Simultaneously, Winter protected Rui from the Sun, ensuring that that isolated domain was too cold for Rui to burn as it greedily absorbed all the heat of the Sun.
Individually, both techniques were instantly lethal to him. However, together, they canceled each other out. The Sun ensured that it didn't get too cold for Rui to survive.
Winter ensured that it didn't get too hot for Rui to survive.
However, only because his timing was precisely accurate. He had less than a microsecond of a margin of error.
If he activated the Sun technique even a split-microsecond too early, he would incinerate himself.
If he activated it even a split-microsecond too late, he would freeze himself.
It was a truly mind-boggling level of precision and accuracy that was beyond even the reach of any ordinary Master. And yet, with the power of Gigamind, Rui was able to exhibit microscopic precision in his timing to neutralize two apocalypses by pitting them precisely against each other.
It was a truly mind-boggling level of precision and accuracy that was beyond even the reach of any ordinary Master. And yet, with the power of Gigamind, Rui was able to exhibit microscopic precision in his timing to neutralize two apocalypses by pitting them precisely against each other.
The result was beyond shocking.
For the first ti in the history of humankind, a Master faced a Sage-level attack head-on, and successfully erged unscathed. Sage Himari was almost paralyzed with shock and bewildernt as the deadly Absolute Zero of her Winter turned into a rely chill winter night.
There wasn't so much as a single burn or frostbite on Rui.
STEP
He took his classic neutral stance once more. The blazing blood-red suns in his eyes shined with blinding brightness as they peered into the depths of her eyes.
In that mont, she felt naked.
Transparent.
She felt as though he could see right through her. She didn't understand.
She didn't understand the being that was the Dawnbringer.
She didn't understand how the youngest Master in the entire world was able to fight her head-on. Even if she hadn't been going absolutely all-out, she truly had exerted herself to a certain extent. The fact that he was able to perfectly neutralize her power was beyond the limits of what she had conceived to be possible.
And yet, it didn't change anything.
It didn't change what she had to do.
"If you are unwilling to stand down then…" A chilling whisper escaped her. "Then I will have to put you down."
The tension in the air boiled tumultuously
Wrath erged in her eyes. "We have shown you plenty of grace. There are limits to our tolerance."
Her expression crumpled with rage. "You dare assault our people with your Embodint, and then you dare fight back even after I try to de-escalate and show you rcy?"
She narrowed her eyes.
"I don't think so."
A hint of bloodlust erged in her eyes. "Let's see just how long you can survive."
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSHHH!!!!!!!
And thus, Winter returned.
It returned harsher than it was before.
This ti, she stopped holding back as she launched powerful unfathomably cold winds with imnse concussive force and greater cold than even before. It spread, freezing everything it touched to the depths of Absolute Zero.
Everything her blizzard touched simply froze.
Everything except her opponent.
"Sun."
BOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!
The celestial source of dawn erged from Rui once more as he deployed every ounce of heat he could possibly generate. The astronomical amount of heat and pressure that he generated at the very inception of forbidden technique crossed a critical threshold, rendering the very fabric of materia to lt, releasing sparks of materia prima.
And yet, a spark could never overco a fla.
FWWWHHHOOOOOOOOOOSSSSHHH!!!!!
The unforgiving cold of the Winter did not relent this ti.
It hissed forward with a nacing frost as it consud the inferno of the Sun. Step by step, it consud all heat.
Bit by bit, it snuffed the mighty Sun that erged from the Dawnbringer.
Little by little, the cold began reaching Rui.
Before the unshackled might of a Martial Sage, even the strongest technique he was able to conjure fell short.
Before the absolute power of the Sage Realm, even the very best that Rui was able to muster was insufficient.
A single realization dawned on the entranced Rui.
He would lose at this rate.
He would die at this rate.
And worst of all, he would fail to successfully adaptively evolve.
A hint of determination flared in the blood-red suns that shined in his eyes.
He might die, but he refused to fail in his Martial Path.
CRACKLE… CRACKLE…
He glanced at the erging hints of frost on his sleeve.
He didn't have much ti. He needed to figure out a way to adaptively evolve past this outco.
The Sun had been able to neutralize a weak and diluted Sage-level attack, but now that Sage Himari appeared to have snapped and started going all out with her power, the Sun was surely insufficient.
Unfortunately, he had truly reached his limits. He has upgraded and adaptively evolved the Sun to his current circumstances with the Forge of Creation, but was simply unable to improve the technique any further.
RUMBLE!!!!!
Heaven and earth shook fearfully as the two Martial Artists fought with all their power.
At this rate, Rui was dood.
