And yet, he refused to give up.

He refused to yield.

He refused to fail.

And thus, it begged the question.

"How do I win?"

He needed to deploy his power against her in the most effective manner possible.

He needed to change.

He needed to change the impact on the flow of cause and effect of the battle.

He knew he couldn't defeat her in a head-on competition of power.

He had no idea where she was getting the ridiculous supply of raw power from, but he knew that couldn't match her in raw power. He had already explored all possibilities of improving the Sun or creating an even more powerful technique with the Forge of Creation.

He couldn't.

His foundational mastery was quite deep, but not nearly as deep as it would need to be in order to create a technique more powerful than the Sun on the spot.

In other words, he couldn't overco her in a struggle for power.

"I need another path to victory..." A whisper escaped him even as the Sun was dying at an alarmingly high rate. "I need another dinsion of attack and battle."

The preliminary conditions for victory in this circumstance were halting her attack.

He needed to find a way to either slow down her attack or halt it entirely, because he would die on the spot the mont the Sun was entirely snuffed out.

He didn't have much ti either.

He couldn't halt her attack with force. He was already trying with the Sun and was failing, after all.

Which ant that he needed to get her to voluntarily stop or slow down?

But why would she ever do that when taking him down was her primary goal?

His eyes lit up. "If sothing more important required her ti and attention." Her life.

If he could threaten her life by altering the way he used his power against her, then he could get her to focus more on defending herself instead of dedicating all her power to her Winter, thereby preventing his imdiate defeat.

His entranced eyes widened with realization as a thundering epiphany dawned on him.

"Her mind..." he whispered. "I can attack her mind."

A statent that was nonsensical on its face, but attacking minds was the whole reason that Rui had been able to fight a hundred Martial Masters at once and even erge victorious. His Martial Embodint was so absurdly powerful that it allowed him to paralyze anybody that wasn't able to handle being force-fed information implanted directly into their subconscious minds via passive hypnosis.

And yet, he also knew that Sages were immune to the weight of his Martial Embodint. With the Martial Soul, they were able to wield the sum cognitive potential of their entire brain in harmony.

And yet, a Martial Embodint was effortless.

"What if I... put effort? What if I... enhance it?"

A flood of euphoria swept his mind.

What if he truly deployed active hypnotic power and effort to enhance the passive hypnosis that was effortless?

It was an idea that not even the CREATION System was able to quantify.

And yet, it was the only option.

However, currently, he was using all his hypnotic power for the Soul Blinding technique to ensure that he could evade Sage Himari's close-range technique. This technique was also highly burdenso and required sealing away her senses except for vision.

"She's no longer attacking in close range, thus, I can discard this technique."

If he wanted to halt her Winter, he needed to give her sothing more important to focus on.

This ant that this technique had to be extrely powerful.

"It's the only way."

And just like that, the Forge of Creation blazed with power as Rui constructed the most powerful hypnotic technique he had ever created in his entire life.

The Sun was almost entirely snuffed out as frost began covering his skin.

Ti was almost up.

And then, a single whisper escaped him.

"Void of water."

The sum totality of the astronomical microcosm of his Gigabrain fueled the Void of water as

he cast on his opponent the most lethal and powerful hypnosis he had ever created.

A maelstrom of information converged on her subconscious mind.

A tsunami of Water converged on her soul.

And it struck hard.

"Rrrrgghh...!" Sage Himari gritted her teeth as she felt a titanic flood of information bearing down on her mind.

This ti, she knew exactly what had happened.

The Enlightennt of Self has erased the barriers between conscious and subconscious, allowing her to detect and see exactly what was happening to her subconscious mind. Rui misdirected her attention by drawing it towards him.

Her attention was fixed on him in the first place, thus it wasn't impossible to draw her conscious mind away from her subconscious mind, leaving the latter vulnerable to

suggestions and information.

And vulnerable it was, especially to the sheer power of her opponent's mind.

Just as the Winter was about to kill him, it slowed down, preserving the final few embers of

the Sun, leaving Rui just inches away from absolute death.

And yet, it was enough.

"Nnngghh...!" Sage Himari gritted her teeth as her expression strained with effort.

The Void of Water took almost all her attention away from Winter.

Without her attention, she could not supply it with as much materia prima as possible. After all, while materia prima was a truly extraordinary source of energy, it was equally dangerous. She could kill herself if she tried it to harness materia prima without the necessary care and

attention.

FSSSHHHH!!!

Frost lted and vaporized under the growing heat.

And thus, Winter receded once more.

And thereby, the Sun blood in all its epheral glory as he summoned Dawn upon a world

of darkness.

Such was the power of the Dawnbringer.

The continuous active and enhanced flood of information from the supercharged Water Embodint converged upon her, requiring her conscious attention not to suffer brain damage from the sheer information onslaught that her mind faced. Her Winter only grew weaker and weaker as the Sun gained dominance.

The tables had turned.

The blood-red suns in his eyes flared with power as the Dawnbringer slowly forged a path to

victory against a Martial Sage.

RUMBLE!!!!!
