Primrose held her breath as she stepped into one of the most luxurious inns in Moonshadow City.

The bedroom itself wasn’t particularly breathtaking, it looked like any other luxurious inn room: a large bed, a separate living area, a spacious bathtub, and a few extra comforts.

But the mont Primrose opened the balcony doors and stepped outside, her breath caught in her throat.

The view was so breathtaking, so unreal, she almost felt like jumping from the balcony, just to feel closer to it.

Back at the palace, she could also see vast stretches of green forest from the higher floors. But here, it felt like she was standing right at the edge of the cliff.

When she looked down, a wide valley spread beneath her feet. Thick trees covered most of the area, and far in the distance, she could see a waterfall glimring through the mist.

No wonder people kept coming to Moonshadow, even if the cold could chill them to the bone.

"I’ve never seen trees that look like that before," Primrose murmured as Edmund walked up beside her. "Is it because the soil here is different?"

Though they were as green as normal trees, the ones in Moonshadow had a soft bluish tint at the edges of their leaves.

Even the trunks were darker, almost black compared to the trees she was used to.

"Yes," Edmund replied. "The trees here have adapted to the frozen soil beneath them, which is why they look so different from the ordinary ones."

He wrapped an arm around her waist, gently pulling her back so she wouldn’t stand too close to the railing.

"Unfortunately," he added, "as beautiful as they are, we can’t bring them to the palace. They’ll die if we force them to grow in unfamiliar soil."

The smile on Primrose’s face slowly faded. His words reminded her too much of herself.

Just like those trees, she had once withered because people forced her to live in a place she didn’t belong, and she hadn’t been strong enough to adapt.

She took a deep breath and tried to push those mories away. She needed to start letting go of her past, or she’d never be able to move forward with peace in her heart.

But letting go was never as easy as she thought.

Even now, those mories still lingered in her mind, no matter how much her relationship with Edmund had changed.

"Primrose, what’s wrong?" Edmund asked gently, noticing the shift in her expression. "Is sothing bothering you?"

Primrose quickly shook her head and smiled. "No, I’m fine."

She turned to face him with a playful glint in her eyes. "Husband, do you know what a place like this is perfect for?"

Edmund raised an eyebrow. "A vacation?"

"You’re not wrong," Primrose said, standing on her tiptoes and leaning close to whisper in his ear, "But a place like this ... is perfect for a honeymoon."

Edmund’s eyes widened, and he held his breath for a second. His mind imdiately exploded with dramatic thoughts.

[HONEYMOON?!]

[Did I hear that right? Did my wife just say honeymoon? But ... we’re not newlyweds anymore!]

They hadn’t even been married for five months yet, so of course people still saw them as newlyweds.

Besides, they rarely saw each other, and the amount of sex they had couldn’t even compare to other newlyweds who did it every single day.

Honestly, Primrose thought couples who did it every day were doing a little too much anyway.

Once a week was more than enough, especially when both of them were busy with responsibilities.

Maybe thrice a week also wasn’t that bad.

"Didn’t you co here to see your friend?" Edmund asked.

Primrose let out a long sigh. "That’s true, but what’s wrong with doing two things at once?"

She pouted, turning her face away from him. "If you don’t want to call it a honeymoon, that’s fine, but you haven’t even taken anywhere since we got married."

Other newlyweds would at least spend a few days sowhere outside of their ho, just to enjoy their ti together.

anwhile, Primrose had been stuck in the palace for months, and only now, after all this ti, was she finally going sowhere.

She knew her husband was busy. She was too.

She knew Edmund was busy. So was she. But still, deep down, she had hoped they’d at least get a proper honeymoon, like a real couple.

"This is my fault!" Edmund looked like he’d just committed a terrible cri. "I ... I just thought maybe a honeymoon would be too much for you."

Primrose tilted her head. "Too much? In my holand, it’s common for newlyweds to go on honeymoons after the wedding, and don’t people in Noctvaris have honeymoons too?"

She vaguely rembered hearing gossip about Noctvarian nobles going on strange and extravagant honeymoons.

So why was Edmund acting like it was sothing she couldn’t handle?

[Is a honeymoon just a vacation for her?] wondered Edmund in his mind.

Well, what else?

"We do," Edmund explained. "But here, a honeymoon doesn’t an a vacation."

Primrose gave him a confused look. "Then what does it an?"

Edmund hesitated. He took a deep breath, clearly struggling to find the right words. "In Noctvaris ... a honeymoon ans spending seven days far from ho, and ..."

"And what?" Primrose pressed him, now growing curious.

Edmund lowered his voice. "And we’re supposed to have sex for the entire week."

Primrose blinked. That was ... surprising, but not entirely shocking. "Many couples in my holand also have sex every day after they marry."

"No, wife," Edmund said, a bit more serious now. "It’s not the sa."

He looked away for a mont, then just ca out with it. "For seven days, we’re not supposed to do anything else. Just ... sex. Nonstop."

[We don’t even eat or drink, just have sex all day, every day,] he added silently, because saying it out loud felt a little too much for his wife.

Too much? It was way too much!

Doing nothing but having sex for a week? That wasn’t a honeymoon, that was a death sentence!

Sure, beasts could survive without food for weeks thanks to their regenerative abilities, especially the strong ones.

But Primrose was human!

She’d die. Literally die from sex!

She could already imagine she would end up in a coffin, with people whispering near her grave. "She died doing what?"

Wait ... couldn’t Edmund just heal her with his saliva?

Wait—no! That wasn’t the point!

One day was fine. But an entire week? Oh, she’d crawl into the coffin herself.

"Then this is not a honeymoon," she blurted, stepping back until her back hit the railing.

When Edmund tried to co closer, she panicked. "I can’t have sex for a whole week!"

To her surprise, Edmund laughed softly. "I’m not going to make you do that," he said gently. "I promise."

He reached out for her hand. "Co here. Don’t stand so close to the railing."

It wasn’t funny! Why was he laughing over sothing that scared her?!

Still ... she took his hand anyway and let him pull her gently back to him.

"We don’t have to follow the beast version of a honeymoon," Edmund said, stroking her hair gently. "We can do it your way instead. So tell , what does a honeymoon an in your holand?"

Primrose looked away and murmured, "We have sex too, but not that much. Maybe just two hours a day, and then we spend the rest of the ti exploring the place, like a vacation."

"It’s really about being together in a new place, getting to know each other better before going back ho," she added softly.

The truth was, Primrose enjoyed cuddling and wandering hand in hand with her husband far more than just having sex.

She had even imagined going shopping with him, sothing she never got to experience in her first life.

But would her husband think that was strange?

After all, it sounded more like a date than a honeymoon, at least by beast standards.

"That actually sounds wonderful," Edmund said gently, a soft smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I like your version of a honeymoon much better."

Primrose blinked, surprised by how quickly he agreed. "Really? You don’t think it’s boring?"

He shook his head. "Not at all. Spending the whole day with you, talking, walking around, holding hands ... That sounds perfect."

[I must have been blessed by the Moon Goddess if I get to spend that much ti getting to know my wife better.]

Then he leaned in slightly and added in a deep voice, "Besides, two hours a day doesn’t sound so bad either."

Primrose’s cheeks turned pink. "That’s not what I ant!"

Edmund chuckled and kissed her temple. "I know. But I ant what I said. I’d love to go shopping with you, see the city together, try new food, and just ... be with you."

Primrose looked down shyly, her fingers gently curling around his sleeve. "Then ... let’s make this our honeymoon."

She continued, "At least ... after we finish what we ca here to do."

She needed to speak with Raven, while Edmund had to et with the Marquess.

"Don’t worry. Just like you said ..." Edmund leaned in and kissed her softly. "There’s nothing wrong with doing two things at the sa ti."

Just as he was about to kiss her again, soone knocked on the door.

"Your Majesty, the Marquess has sent his envoy to et with you!" the soldier called from outside.

Both of them sighed at the sa ti.

Even though Edmund hadn’t announced his arrival beforehand, the guards at the gate had probably inford the Marquess the mont they saw the King and Queen of Noctvaris enter Moonshadow.
