Alright. The first step to fixing her husband’s terrible communication skills was to make him say what he was thinking without her having to read his mind.

"You’re fine," Edmund said.

FINE?!

Who in their right mind complints a woman by calling her fine?!

"Your Majesty." Primrose curved her lips into a smile, but her voice was as cold as ice. "If you want to learn how to smile, the first thing you need to do is learn how to make other people smile."

Edmund stiffened. "How ... how do I do that?"

[The only thing I’m good at is making people run away in fear.]

"There are many ways," Primrose said. "One of them is by giving complints."

Edmund hesitated. "Like ... what I just said?"

Primrose let out a sharp, sarcastic laugh. "No man calls a woman fine and expects her to smile after that, Your Majesty."

Edmund took a small step back. [Did ... did she just call out? But ... my wife is right!]

[I was so dumb and ridiculous for saying that to her.]

"If you want to make a woman smile, you need to use sweeter words when complinting her." Primrose continued, "Like ’beautiful’ or ’pretty.’"

There were plenty of words he could have used instead of fine, but those two seed like a safe choice.

"My wife..." Edmund paused for a mont, his expression serious, like he was planning a war strategy in his head.

"You’re beautiful today."

Primrose nodded approvingly. Finally, he got it right. "That’s g—"

"I think your smile looks pretty and, um ... weirdly warm. Not in a bad way! Just ... warm. Like sunshine, but prettier. I an, you. You’re prettier than sunshine!"

Before she could even react, he quickly added, "And that little pink bow in your hair makes you look so adorable this morning, my wife."

Primrose’s cheeks instantly burned, a soft red blush spreading across her pale skin.

Since when did he have that kind of vocabulary to complint soone?!

Not only had he praised her looks, but also her smile and even the tiny detail of her hair accessory.

So ... he really had been paying attention to every little thing about her all this ti?

[Why is my wife just staring at ? Did my complints sound like insults?!]

Insults?!

If anything, those were the most genuine and heartwarming complints Primrose had ever received.

So if he actually had this much skill in giving complints, why had he never used it before?!

"Thank you, Your Majesty." A bright smile spread across her face. "Your complints truly make my heart happy."

[She likes it! She actually likes my complints!]

[My wife looks even more beautiful when she’s happy. I should complint her more often from now on.]

"You can sit now, Your Majesty," Primrose said.

She had no idea why the mighty Lycan King was still standing there, looking hesitant, as if he needed permission to sit.

Edmund finally pulled out his chair and sat down awkwardly across from her. He stared at her for a mont before asking, "Is there a reason you chose to have breakfast here?"

[The morning air here is freezing. Eating outside like this doesn’t seem comfortable for my wife.]

[At first, I wanted to turn down her invitation and suggest another place, but since she went through all this effort, I couldn’t bring myself to refuse.]

[But ... isn’t she cold?]

Yes, the air was cold.

But there was sothing about this place that made Primrose choose it for their first lesson on how to smile properly.

"This place isn’t anything special." Primrose turned her head, gazing at the breathtaking scenery below the palace. "But if you co here in the morning, the view is beautiful."

The real reason she chose this spot was simple—back in her first life, she used to co here often in the mornings. Sotis before sunrise, sotis just after.

The warmth of the sunlight would chase away the biting cold, reminding her that even in this lonely palace, there were still small sources of warmth that helped her keep going. Like Solene ... or the few maids who were genuinely kind to her.

Silas had been one of them back then.

But in the end ... he wasn’t warm at all. Turned out he was the coldest snow storm instead of sunlight.

"The sun has already risen, so we can’t watch the sunrise," Primrose said with a soft smile as the morning breeze scattered her crimson hair. "But still, the atmosphere here feels nice and peaceful."

Aside from the golden glow of the rising sun, they could see the vast cities and forests stretching far beneath the palace.

The endless greenery surrounded the cities of Noctvaris, making the kingdom look breathtaking instead of intimidating.

If people could forget that this was the Kingdom of Beasts, they’d probably be lining up to visit it for a vacation.

"I rarely co here," Edmund admitted.

Even though she had told him to enjoy the view, his eyes never left her.

The warm sunlight kissed her face, making her golden eyes glow like molten amber.

Her crimson hair swayed with the wind, soft strands brushing against her cheeks. The gentle morning light made her look almost unreal, like a dream he wasn’t supposed to touch.

"Primrose."

Hearing her na, she turned her head and imdiately froze in place.

She hadn’t expected to see that expression on his face.

His usual sharp eyes had softened slightly, and the corners of his lips curved, just the tiniest bit.

Edmund was smiling.

It wasn’t a big, bright smile. It wasn’t warm or playful.

But it was real.

So subtle that most people wouldn’t even notice it unless they were standing close.

But for the first ti, it wasn’t cold. It wasn’t forced. It wasn’t unsettling.

It was genuine.

And sohow, that made it even harder for Primrose to look away.

"This place is really beautiful," Edmund said, his voice as gentle as the morning breeze. "I’m glad you invited to have breakfast here, my wife."
